Similar to other reviews I am now seeing, they were off on my estimate. I was not informed until after my procedure that insurance would not cover what the office said they would. It's sad that this office continues its downward spiral in terms of customer service. I WAS a customer years ago and noticed the slip in service about 4 years ago. What does that mean? Continued cancellation of appointments due to the same excuse of "the hygienist had to take a day off" for some reason or another. I recently decided to give them another chance and guess what?!? ANOTHER canceled appointment!! So I decided to reschedule to 6 weeks later and what happens when I show up today???? The girl at the front desk says I'm late??? I showed up at 3:10 for a 3:30 appointment. I show her the confirmation email and text the office sends out. She looked at the text that CLEARLY shows a 3:30 appointment and continues to argue with me!!! What the heck? I know it's hard to find good help post COVID, but these problems have been going on for a while. There are too many good dentists in the area to put up with incompetence. You don't have to believe me-just look at their ratings and other complaints. read more

I have been terrified of going to the dentist for an embarrassingly long time. Decades. I finally decided to face my fears and take care of my oral health. I was very nervous about the entire process, but especially since I haven't been in so long. I worried I would be made to feel terrible about neglecting my teeth. Instead, everyone was extremely nice to me. No one made me feel bad about how long it's been and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and knew what was going on. It wasn't the traumatic experience I had as a kid at all. I had to get a deep cleaning done over two appointments and my hygienist and her assistant were top notch. Again, didn't make me feel embarrassed about the state of my teeth or how long it has been. I didn't have any cavities and everything went really well! I got to speak to or otherwise interact with 3 of the dentists there and really liked 2 of them. I didn't dislike the 3rd, he just felt a little less experienced. I've been visiting Dr. Medichi at Cross Timbers Dental for regular checkups and cleanings for over 4 years. Also in that time, I've needed 2 crowns. I can say that the office has the most updated equipment, is organized, clean and always takes me in for my appointments with very little waiting. Many better choices available to you in Flower Mound. This used to be a great practice (4 years ago). That is no longer the case. Doctors are top notch. But getting to see them, getting it billed correctly and any form of communication with them ( other than during you appoint... if you can get one) is impossible. As an update, I was contacted by the office manager. I was provided with an explanation and the office admitted to their mistake. The issue primarily was due to a change (assumingly a recent change) of one of the dentist's credentialing that had an effect on certain insurances. Apparently, the office was not aware of this change and therefore was unable to rectify it prior to my appointment by switching me to a different dentist. Nonetheless, I am still baffled by how this wasn't simply solved once I arrived or even when they saw that I owed a significant amount of money out of pocket for a preventative cleaning. Glad I didn't pay it - getting a reimbursement would have been a nightmare. I feel it is fair to reiterate that the dentist and hygienist experience was a delight and I really wish I could have made this dentist my spot for years to come. However, it boils down to trust. I would never be able to relax knowing that once I leave the dentist chair I was possibly facing a figurative gut punch when it came payment or scheduling time. My dental needs are almost always just preventative cleanings twice a year, so I feel like there are offices that would be more transparent and predictable for my personal needs. I am accustomed to not paying anything for preventative cleanings/X-rays twice a year (I pay my insurance companies enough already). But given the quality of the actual dentist and hygienists this office may be worth a look - just clarify in writing the co-pay for your particular needs prior to appointment. Good on this office for looking at their reviews and attempting to rectify their mistakes by not displacing blame. read more

I have been battling with this Dentist office for over 5 months over a mouth guard that I was told would only be around $80 with insurance payment. The employees insurance estimate was OFF around $550. They insist that THEY didn't make the mistake. I recently had to have a crown procedure and they were off on the insurance estimate by $133. It is very obscene that their insurance estimate was around $550 off. Dont trust them. Dont pay until after the insurance pay. This is a very deceptive practice. Go elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service. Keep canceling my appts. Their front office staff is rude, belligerent and will single handedly run this practice into the ground. I entered the office for a regular cleaning in late July to see no one, patients or staff, wearing masks even though the Delta variant was beginning its surge. I asked them about it and they began a diatribe about the governor not allowing mandates. I knew this situation was not going to end well, and when the hygienist showed up to take me back for my appointment even she was NOT masked. I told them it was unwise for me to keep my appointment and dangerous for them to not be masked and left. What stunned me was the immediate reaction I received from the three staff at the entrance. They weren't respectful at all for their patients needs. No one should have to be subjected to others willful disregard for public health due to political beliefs. I won't return. read more

I needed to schedule dentist appointments for my family. So in order to get us in without me having to take time off or the kids miss school our appointments were scheduled on consecutive days. I was concerned about this due to Covid and I would be have the little one with me because my oldest would still be in school. This was discussed when the appointments were scheduled. I was told to go ahead and bring the little one due to the circumstance and it would be noted. Well, the kids went to there appointments on yesterday without any issues. So today I arrived for my appointment only to be told that I'm not allowed to bring the little one inside because he wasn't receiving a service. Mind you this was addressed when the two separate appointments were scheduled! So needless to say my appointment was canceled. The girl that scheduled the appointments didn't make the note as she said she would. Today is 11/12/2020 Sandy(Sandra) from Cross Timber Dental called to chastise me for the review that I left about my visit on 11/11/20. There is no reason for anyone from CTD to contact me, I all ready told them when I'm appointment was canceled that I wouldn't be back! We had two bad experiences with this dental office. One they messed up a root canal and we had to get it fixed by another more qualified dentist dr Patel and that took almost 2.5 hours .so we actually paid twice to have this done. Then my dad went to get his implant fixed and instead of saying they can't do it proceeded to try and fix it . It was out in 5 hours. They then proceeded to tell my 80-year-old father that he should go and just get Denta fix or whatever they called it at Walgreens to fix it until he can go to his dentist. Why didn't you say that in the first place why didn't you say you couldn't fix it and why did you charge my father. Then they called me into their office trying to explain their mistake away because I called about his implants already out of his mouth. They told me it's just a temporary solution, I said is temporary less than two hours? They said yes it is. Terrible customer service from the head of the office ( The Dentist never bothered to be part of the meeting felt it necessary to explain anything) , nothing they said made any sense and they tried to justify all their mistakes. We will never ever be back here. They have a high turnover rate as well. It seems like a place for dentist in training until they're going to move and get their new offices. read more

I have been going to Cross Timbers since I moved to Texas in 2016. The service, from reception to check out has been stellar every time. Today I went in for a crown on a tooth with a very old filling that deteriorated. Courtney, the assistant was amazing and kept me informed through the process. Both the doctor and Courtney took their time to ensure I was sufficiently numb. The truly amazing part was when the doctor prepped the tooth for the crown, ( approximately $1200 treatments plan) and discovered the integrity of the tooth and enamel were ok and I only needed a filling!! I was so pleased and literally would never have known if the tooth was salvageable had he proceeded with the crown. I checked out with a charge of less than $100 and no return appointment!!! Why do most practices like this pressure sell you on when you are the most vulnerable? 3rd time I have been in for cleaning and not going back. They whirl around you, up selling and pressuring high cost "extras" while you fear if you deny them they will grind your teeth to the gums? A bit harsh I know but please don't over pressure your patients. I know everyone is bonused on high margin sales but don't get put into a used car salesmen category. Healthcare is all about the oath you took and should reconsider. While I am disappointed in experience I will say they did a ok job on cleaning. Never going back. Sad really. I really like Dr. Mackie and the office is very modern and state of the art. There have been times where I have a had a long wait but to be fair, there have also been times when they are super quick. I am sure they do their best, but sometimes fall behind. They have recommended some work that I don't feel is necessary. Dr. Revering has been my & my husbands dentist for about a year. He & his entire staff are wonderful. Everyone has been so kind & hospitable. He is gentle & does not make you feel judged but that he wants to help you. My husband had anxiety going to see the dentist as it had been awhile & now he completely looks forward to his cleanings & exams. I needed an implant and they promised I would have the tooth in two weeks. I said I need it before Christmas and was told no problem! Signed a paper that it would cost $500 for my tooth. Then when I went back after the implant was finished for my tooth they said no its $1,045 not $500!!!! I said I will give you $500 to order my tooth because I need it and then we can work out why you are doubling the price. Then I get a phone call it is now $1,500 for the same tooth because they messed up the insurance part!!! Said I didn't have insurance which I did. Told them I will pay the $1,000 so they will get the tooth and deal with the insurance after they work it out. Then I call multiple times and no one would return my call. Then called 3 times today and finally spoke with the office manager and she said they didn't order my tooth!!! WHAT!! I told them I would pay but they wouldn't take my money until they worked it out with my insurance but lied to me that my tooth was ordered. They lied it was never ordered and now I wait until after the new year to get this hole taken care of. Not using them again. I do not like being lied to or put off. While visiting my family in Lewisville I cracked my tooth at dinner. I experience very strong anxiety when I visit the dentist. My nephew could see my fear as soon as my tooth broke. He set up an appointment at your office and assured me that you would take great care of me. He picked me up and brought me to your office. I met with Barbara and Dr. Willard. Barbara sat and talked with me to try and calm my fears. After some xrays and consultation we proceeded with my procedure. They assured me if I was uncomfortable to let them know and we could take a break. Before I knew it my procedure was done and I was on my way to continue my Texas vacation with my family. I can't thank everyone on your staff enough. If I could give you 10 stars I would. I highly recommend your practice to anyone!!!! I've only been living in Texas about 7 months now and was looking for a new permanent dentist. I'm all about trust and honesty when it comes to my dental or medical needs, and I got to tell you this place was great. :-) Not only was the staff friendly, but they were honest and weren't trying to sell me on some crazy expensive procedure that my teeth needed. Kathy was the hygienist and she really made things easy and straight to the point. I told her about my dental history and she gave me her recommendations on what my teeth needed. She was also very gentle with the cleaning, but very thorough. We also made some small talk about our lives and that was great too. She made my experience very comfortable with absolutley no pressure. I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed all this restorative work done and gave me an estimate of 3500.00 plus. I had part of this done and saw no difference in my teeth.One of the bondings they did came off two weeks later so after having that fixed I never went back. I love the way I was treated today! I felt like royalty on a smaller scale. My hygienist today was Valery, absolutely wonderful personality! I wanted to tell her that but couldn't with my mouth wide open. She made my experience one of a kind. The entire staff went out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible. When I checked in I probably waited 5 minutes before they brought me back. I never felt rushed, Valerie took her time and did an awesome job. The front desk explained my benefits to me and I left looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks! I just moved to Texas and started having tooth pain. So I needed to find a dentist fast! I called Cross Timbers, was able to schedule an appointment for the very next morning. I ended up having a cavity :( but I was able to schedule a cleaning and a filling that same day! (Different times) but they did everything they could to squeeze on what I needed. Hi Everyone, I have been going to Cross Timbers Dental for over 10 years and have had several complex issues with molars cracking a post fixed with crowns, two cracked teeth due to popcorn hulls of which one was saved and one had to be removed, loss of enamel, gum recession repair filling, gum graft referral, mouth guard and others. Both my wife and I have found total expertise and professionalism from every Dr. there and the entire staff, plus the lastest advanced 3D machines and technology other offices may not have available to get your 3D xrays.
