I took off work for a Tuesday morning delivery, but Ashley changed the delivery window three times and then never showed up. We heard nothing for two days. When the chairs were finally delivered, that window was changed twice as well, and they arrived in a rental truck because we were told the Ashley truck had broken down. The chairs were left sitting in our driveway, out of their boxes and wrapped only in torn plastic. When we unwrapped them about a week later, we found poor craftsmanship, missed stitching, loose threads, and a puncture hole. Customer service was even worse. Ashley repeatedly placed the burden of solving the problem back on us. One representative requested photos and promised to find a solution. Instead, we received an email two days later saying parts had been ordered and that we should call to schedule a repair. This was never discussed with us or approved. Are they really planning to reupholster two brand-new chairs instead of replacing the damaged furniture they delivered? Ashley also claims damage must be reported within three days, despite its own failed delivery and the condition in which the chairs arrived. I am now disputing the purchase through my bank. We are stuck with two damaged chairs and no acceptable resolution. The delivery was unreliable, the quality was unacceptable, and the customer service was atrocious. Pay more and shop somewhere else.

I went in looking for a small coffee table and found one that is glass/metal/wood. It was just the right size and matches the end tables I had bought a year ago. It was a good price, so they suggested that I just pick it up at the store when it arrived instead of paying almost $100 for delivery. In the past, I have had my purchases delivered and they arrive in one piece and are placed where I want them. This latest purchase made my head spin....is this now IKEA??? I arrive and am directed to the back for customer pick-up. The guy loads a box into my car. I bring home about 100 lbs. of coffee table PARTS!!! What??? The instructions say I will need to furnish my own screwdriver, they even have a picture of a good old standard screw driver;...so I go to my toolbox and get one. Part of the assembly ( an hour of IKEA-like hell ) is to screw the wooden panel into the frame. There are no holes or starts of holes in the wood. It would take a young athletic person with a LOT of muscle to put those screws into that thick hardwood panel by hand with a standard screwdriver. Sheesh. I am neither young, nor athletic. The metal pieces that are labeled with letters A, B, C, D are labeled with stickers that don't peel off. I tried soaking them off with a damp towel, but the adhesive is still on there. Can I use acetone or Goo Gone on them?? I have no idea. It could very well ruin the metal. I cannot predict....so I leave them as they are. I get my power screwdriver out and attempt to assemble this coffee table. But, because of the plethora of right angles, one cannot drive the screws straight in through the holes in the metal brackets and into the wood panel. It is not possible. The screws, then, end up at a slight angle and are not flush with the surface once they are all the way in. By the time I am done getting the pieces out of the packaging, assemble it as well as I can with the resources I have; I was quite ready to throw the thing on to the fire pit and burn it. Haverty's needs to put signs on all of the furniture that requires the customer to assemble it. I would have NEVER bought this piece if I had known. You are going the way of IKEA and it's not a good look. I'm in my early 60's. I deserve, as your customer, to be warned. I thought I was shopping in a fairly classy furniture store. I guess not-so-much anymore.

You're not getting past someone with a cart here. Claustrophobic. Not sure how someone with a wheelchair operates here. I have purchased multiple items from Davis furniture and have been offered additional insurance…read morethrough them with a company called Safeware insurance which I always purchase the additional insurance and we're told the insurance coverage is great it covers everything from accidental spills, stains, rips or defects. Well this is not true and Safeware insurance isn't worth the additional charge you pay because they will find a way to not cover these things so read the fine print. We purchased the Safeway warranty for our sofa and loveseat It gave us peace of mind knowing that if there was ever an accident, we'd be covered. Unfortunately, when the time came, that sense of security turned into disappointment when we were told that normal wear and tear wasn't covered then why offer insurance at all? why tell people that defects are covered? The stitching on both the sofa and loveseat are coming apart and they tell me that's not covered? As you can see in the pictures the stitching is coming apart and they say this isn't covered. Why offer this insurance and build this company up saying they cover your items when they clearly don't? That's why we paid extra for this coverage and it's disheartening to find out that when you really need it, Safeway's promise doesn't hold up. We trusted Safeway to stand by their word. Instead, we're left with damaged furniture and a bitter lesson learned. If you're considering their warranty, read every single line, and even then, be prepared that it may not protect you when it counts.
