    Dogs allowed!

Do you like repurposed furniture and funky finds?  This place is for YOU!  Huge warehouse full of every kind of houseware, vintage and otherwise that you can think of.  Each booth is as different as can be so you'll never get bored.  Plus: they let you bring dogs in, so I had just as much fun looking at pooches as I did the cool stuff.  Quirky and funky rules here!

    For pinball wizards.

"The family that sleeps together sweats together." -Framed illustration of a family sleeping together with the above quote seen at the Regeneration Station. ...And the family that shops together leaves itemless together. Several years ago, my husband's coworker told him to get to TRS. From the coworker's statements about TRS, I envisioned a "Habitat for Humanity" type of place where faucets and lumber can be gleaned, and a giant workshop to make your own pieces. I was sorta close. TRS is basically an antique shop with tons of stalls for their vendors, industrial types of furnishings and modified ones, and a work area to the left, but only for the employees. It is crowded with wares. Everywhere you look, there is something to see. I started at the back right. That area is the Siberia of the vendor world. Some stalls were sparsely filled, while others focused on jars of buttons and lonely seashells. An ex-skater tried his best, while someone obsessed with outdoor decor brought inside made one wonder exactly how much outside space she indeed owned. One vendor tried to disguise his plethora of space by placing large coffee table books strategically. Back in the main warehouse is where the fun begins. I have never seen so many bizarre items under one roof. One vendor loved seventies rock. Another displayed toys from the mid-2000s. Some were inviting with their cozy living room look. Some had a bit of everything. My favorites were the stall dedicated to smoldering love and the quirky sci-fi stall. However, I could not afford anything. Even a vintage "Pound Puppy" could not be had. Mugs that reminded me of my Nana were shelved. I browsed the sci-fi paperbacks, turning the rack in desperation. Martians and rogue astronauts would not fill my cranium unless I handed over money that could be spent wisely elsewhere. Everything I looked at broke my heart, because nothing would grace my shelf. My attached photo of the paint-by-number golden retriever was something I really wanted for my husband, because it brought back childhood memories for him and me. (If I had stayed put after seeing his lifeless retriever that had been struck down by a car, I would have met him a couple seasons earlier and seen his older brother run down the street in just his underwear.) The upcycled pieces are fascinating. Some are just perfectly you, while others lose their vintage charm through transformation. Some you could make yourself with a little investigation. Some have to be left to the professionals, both the makers and the buyers. The bathroom is clean. It is on the outskirts, near BigItemsk. The employees do not greet you. That is important nowadays. Connecting with people makes a difference. Check it out, even if you can't check out.

Cool place, nice people, lots of merch. Stuff is more funky and MCM instead of real antiques. Prices seem very good to me.

The layout is really navigable and if you're like me and you like to circle, it's really conducive to that. Lots of high quality pieces made out of real materials (ie cotton, linen) and the price points blew me away. Extremely well-priced and owners take into account flaws in their pricing. Staff is friendly and helpful if you give them a yell! 5 stars, no notes.

I was researching vintage clothing stores in Asheville for my recent trip and this one came up in…read moremy searches. Located on Walnut off Broadway, it's a small shop that offers women's and men's clothing. There's a mix of eras under one roof and I noticed they have a good selection of men's clothing, which sometimes is a struggle for the guys who like vintage. When I went this time, there was a smaller selection of women's clothing, but most of the pieces seemed to be in fair condition. Spotted a vintage Dior jacket, but decided to not grab it. I'd guess that most of the clothing at the time that I went was from the 1970s-now. Mostly I saw tops, tees, and jackets, along with vintage denim. Parking options include street parking and parking lots where you pay by the hour. I went with the latter as it was more cost effective when I compiled my list of shops to visit in the same area. I recommend going that route because most of the shops are on the main streets and it's easy to reach them by walking.
