A cute sort of home goods/apparel/gift shop, my attention was certainly captured by a few especially gorgeous items: Silk koi pajamas, cute bagged candies and Rice Krispie treats, and snazzy décor. It's a deliciously decorated store, and a delight to wander. Unfortunately, while some goods were marked down from their regular non-outlet price, not everything was, and that's what caught me. Those aforementioned (discounted) jammies were like $200, and much as I adored them, I didn't love them THAT much. I did not recognize the majority of brands, and while that doesn't really mean anything, I have to admit I might have been more inclined to buy such pricey products if I was more familiar with the maker. From what I could tell, though, everything was high quality. I'd say shop here for the hard-to-please/have-everything sort of people in your life. Or, if in the mood to treat yourself at least check it out. There was nothing without which I would die, but it is truly a pretty shop, and while I would not seek it out as a particular destination, will likely stop by again when patronizing Trolley Square.

As I entered the shop on a Friday afternoon, two girls bearing the same wavy blond bob, glasses, and even exhibiting similar mannerisms greeted me! I asked if they were twins, and we all had a good giggle as they explained no, they just sort of merged into the same person after spending so much time working together. Isn't it funny how that sometimes happens? They were both friendly and helpful, explaining how to dispense the bulk products, and happily answering questions. A small thing that is such a helpful idea, is that they accept donated reusable containers, so if you forget your own, or, like me, happen upon the shop without having previously planned on stopping by, you are free to use any of these bottles! The bulk goods consist of body, beauty, and home products. Featured brands are recognizably good ones: EO, Biokleen, Mountain Rose Herbs, and Meow Meow Tweet (you can even grab a bit of their well-reviewed natural deodorant!). In addition to the bulk offerings, they sell regular size natural makeup and beauty products, lots again from Meow Meow Tweet, Fat and the Moon, and others. They even have reusable period pads and cups. SLC, you're getting so progressive! In addition, there were creative planters and ceramic containers, gorgeously fragranced candles, a variety of incense, clever greeting cards, notebooks and other stationary, pretty reusable totes and bags, and jewelry. Most (maybe all?) are hand crafted, some locally. There was even a small rack of vintage clothing! Prices are reasonable; though do not expect overly cheap bulk prices. As the products on offer are high quality, you will pay accordingly, and it's worth it!

I also heard that they do offer food composting for 60 cents a gallon out back which was a godsend since my new 'hood doesn't do composting (and it's too early in the season to use for planting). The shop is super cute, clean and organized. Parking is very easy out front (no payment required). The vibrant woman working there was ultra helpful and friendly (she even remembered to text me when one of the products I asked about came in). She showed us around and let us know how things worked. I ended buying a lot more than I planned (including their kombucha! cinnamon apple -- yum!), and I am happy with all of their products so far. The rose deodorant is amazing. I have yet to try the epsom salts, but am excited to. The shop overall is a little bit expensive, but I'd much rather pay more to live responsibly. Composting price is a steal though -- definitely my go-to now.

You'll find everything from local honey, cups, and clothing to jewelry, gemstones, and unique Utah-themed gifts. I especially loved the gemstone bracelets, which came with information explaining the meaning, purpose, and believed benefits of each stone. The copper bracelets were another favorite. On our most recent visit, an employee helped us find citrine jewelry for my niece because it is her birthstone. We were able to choose a beautiful necklace, earrings, and a ring for her. I also highly recommend picking up one of the mystery souvenir bags near the exit. Ours was filled with a fun assortment of items, and we loved everything inside. It added an extra element of surprise to our shopping experience! I've now visited this store twice, and each time the employees have been professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. They took the time to help us find meaningful and unique gifts without making us feel rushed. Street parking was easy to find nearby, and it was free during our Sunday visit. On days when payment is required, you can conveniently scan the posted QR code to pay. Walking in, this place is fun and colorful. There's literally a little of everything here. Pins, stickers, soaps, clothes. You name it, it's probably here. It's not a store that you can just rush through. There's so many trinkets and little things to look at. And it's a decent sized store. Of course all the little things caught my eye. If you're looking for something fun to give as a gift or something fun to take home from vacation, this joint would be the spot to hit up!
