Today I returned back to vantage and went in with high expectations and truly was a little disappointed on the selection. I don't know if they changed the person that picks out their clothes and they have a different style than the person before but there were still some good finds. Unfortunately something that does come with this business is they do not greet you when you walk in which is very unfortunate because you are spending a lot of money on thrift items. But I can say that a gentleman today Robby did assist me and that was the most assistance I have had and I think friends have had ever in the store! Though something I can say about this the store is every time I do go everything I find not only is something expensive but something I wear all the time and is completely worth the money! Overall I don't want this to look like a bad review, I just think that this particular thrift store location has a lot of mixed reviews from not only the yelp perspective but from the customer point of you as well. Being someone that does come from out of state and still decides to come back to the store I do think that constructive criticism is the better route for this location because not only are you finding good items for maybe not the ideal thrift price you were still finding things that nobody else has. Nothing can change my mind though, I love this thrift store with all my heart and everything I find. I've never been to such a pleasing store. read more

I was super impressed with the great quality of all the vintage clothes but not so much impressed with the customer service. When me and my friend went in on Sunday the two girls who were working were too busy talking amongst themselves and seemed annoyed the moment we walked in. Reading the other reviews it feels like this is a might ongoing problem and I would hope it gets fixed because we did find a lot of great pieces but us feeling so uncomfortable makes it difficult to return. read more

I used to be a fan of Vantage but recently they have upped their prices A TON. To the point of being ridiculous. I really appreciated how their prices were fair and not over priced and I could count on Vantage for scoring a good deal on a good quality vintage item. But now they are charging $75-$80 for a denim jacket?? A denim jacket that isn't even a namebrand like Levi's. Give me a break. I'm sorry vantage, but you have lost my business and it's really unfortunate that you guys gave into the greedy trap of all other fellow vintage stores around. read more

Love the idea of it buuut First of all the store always smells like sewage. But I like how they say "save the earth, shop at vantage" because thrifting items is good to save waste but if they actually cared about saving the earth they wouldn't sell things for SOOO expensive. There are some clothes that are a little too out there and some that are pretty cool but then they're selling them for sometimes more than you get them new. Honestly I would never choose vantage over Deseret industries or savers, I don't want to buy a kind of cool looking jacket for 80 bucks when I could find one just like it at a normal thrift store for 4 bucks. read more

Super cute new vintage thrifty find and it's super close to Trolley Square although it's not inside Trolley Square. It's a completely isolated building which is on 600 south, it does say Vantage super big so you should be able to easily see it. They have an Instagram and Facebook where you can stay up to date with all the cute new items they add to their shop and everything else they do here. I was thoroughly impressed with their vintage collection and their pricing for authentic one of a kind pieces couldn't be beat. This store is a decent size and all of the items are hand picked and so cute and unique. You could find anything in here from a Christmas sweater for an ugly sweater party to something that you'd actually wear and not have to worry about other people wearing the same thing because you'd know you can count on it being authentically vintage and properly made therefore you know it's going to last a long time! read more

Every time I visit a new city, I have to check out the thrifting scene. After browsing around on Yelp, I found Vantage and decided to stop in. Atmosphere/Place: Vantage is located about half a mile from a TRAX station and is within a relatively residential area. The layout is open with a men and women's section in the front area and coats and vintage brand items located in the back. Clothing: There are tons of Harley Davidson branded items, which is not necessarily my style, but was cool. They have a phenomenal collection of all kinds of shorts and jackets. If you are looking for either of these items, I'd highly recommend dropping by. I was able to find a vintage Guess shirt and linen pants that I've been looking for for awhile. The only issue I have is that some of the items I saw were a bit overpriced. By the prices I saw, I would guess the ideal audience is young people who want the vintage look but aren't necessarily trying to do the work of searching through thrift stores to get good deals. Besides a couple of gems, most items in here are about three times the price you would pay at a normal thrift store. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and the items in the store. It is curated quite well, but if you are willing to spend a little time searching in thrift stores like Goodwill or Savers, you can spend a good amount of money and still get the same or similar items. read more

I love Vantage and have given them my business on quite a few occasions, particularly when I need a substantial new addition to my wardrobe. This time, however, I was pretty unhappy. The store was beautiful (as always), and my shopping experience was pleasant. I bought a few items and took them home to try on because (with covid) I was uncomfortable with trying on the clothes there. I went to return an item today and was told that all sales are final. Honestly, I understand that, but I was frustrated that a sales associate hadn't let me know when I was initially buying. I love coming there, but I don't think I'll be giving my business again due to a lack of communication on Vantage's part. read more

Their prices for thrifted items is borderline immoral. If you used to find cool things at charity stores and estate sales but can't anymore, it's because stores like this get their first and then resell everything for more than if you just bought something brand new. That being said, they do have a fire collection and some cool vintage stuff. Just go if you're willing to pay a lot for it. read more

I am only giving this a two star because the selection of clothing is amazing! However, entering the store I was greeted with an unfriendly look and no words (I think she may have been the workers friends) by one of the girls. I continued to browse and no one had said hello or offered their assistance, instead they gabbed away at the register. I was the ONLY person in the store. Had to stop by and see this cool vintage shop! It's an awesome place was some really cool retro things everything seems so clean and it doesn't smell musty like a lot of vintage stores. It's a must stop in Salt Lake City if you're out walking around and shopping. All of the owners are really super fun people! Really cute aesthetic place and very vibey. Very clean as well. sadly didn't purchase anything because of the outrageously expensive prices of everything. Most of the stuff is not very vintage either, they we're trying to charge me 35$ for a crappy T-shirt that i could've found for 4$ at DI, Goodwill, or Savers. Very overpriced. This place does not sell vintage clothes. it's just an expensive Plato's Closet with some old cameras and some old records. The staff was very disengaging as well. They sat and talked at the register and didn't even bother to acknowledge our existence. Because of covid we had to wait 20 minutes outside. we were waiting for 2 people to come out and they did but the employees forgot about us cuz they were so busy chatting upfront. read more

Great merchandise, but super disappointed in their customer service. Vantage was recommended by a few friends, so while in SLC on a visit from out-of-State, we swung by this afternoon. We are totally on board with all the COVID protocols and we are trying to support business during this difficult time! But we had a terrible experience with a snooty sales associate when trying clothes on. My daughter had tried on a few pair of Levi cut-off shorts (she only had 5 items in the dressing room, which is the limit) and was torn between which size to get. She was bringing in one additional pair and was of course willing to send a few pair out that she had decided against. Was not in the dressing room for more than a few minutes. She wanted to quickly try on a last pair for size comparison, but as she tried to re-enter the dressing room, the sales person stopped her and said she could not go back inside. This sales person was medium height, brown hair with bangs and wore tons of rings. She was so condescending and rude-really made my daughter feel dumb for even being in the store. So disappointed. We are shoppers and would have loved to love this place. Needless to say, we left without purchasing anything. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Vantage, especially the customer service. The staff seemed super knowledgeable and made me feel super comfortable throughout my entire visit. They answered all my questions and helped me find the right size. They have a wide array of perfectly worn vintage. You can tell they truly care and put in time and effort to make it a memorable shopping experience. From Levi's to band tees, they have it all. This is one of the coolest shops in SLC. They have a great location right next to Trolley Square, and it's very easy to get to. They have parking right next to the building, and the outside of the store is very well designed. The atmosphere has a very cool "vibe" to it & the employees are super dope. Tons of cool vintage clothing, trendy sunglasses, good tunes, and friendly costumer service... what else could a person want?! I found the black leather cowboy boots of my dreams. They fit perfectly! I bought a super cool Bum sweatshirt, Levi cut off denim shorts, and a vintage tee. Used to come here about a year and a half ago before it blew up. Owners were super chill and just looking for some cool threads for a little more than Goodwill or Savers but now they sell a T-shirt in really worn condition for $20, despite having bought it for like a dollar (if that) from a massive flea market in California. Still nice people and good clothes, but it's a pretty ridiculous thing to sell "vintage" clothes for the same price as a new article at a department store. read more

Such a cute store and a good selection. The clothes are a bit overpriced, so much so that for a older hole filled sweatshirt it costs $60 which is nearly if not exactly how much you'd pay at urban outfitters. Thrifting is supposed to be affordable event everyone can partake in and not break their bank, not an unattainable lifestyle for only a select few who can afford to look the part. Also, I was in the dressing room with a friend in the one beside me trying on my clothes to make sure they fit and are worth the tag price. I came out to show my friend the fit and a worker was very abrupt and rude to us, she was saying that we were taking too long and there's a line. She even told us to be mindful. I was already trying to hurry and try on my clothes as fast as I could so having someone bug me when I was already in an unpleasant panic was not welcome. We were paying customers who ended up spending quite a bit of money so I do not expect to be rushed in the process of trying on clothes that are already not budget friendly. I felt uncomfortable in the store after that experience. read more

Worst vintage store ever. Anything "cool" they have isn't for sale. It's just for show on their Instagram. Why would they have it displayed if you can't even buy it? Employees put the coolest stuff they have on Instagram for bate for people to come in when in reality they just take all the stuff that's even worth getting. Everything I have messaged them about has been "bought already" but there is absolutely no way. Unless it was never for sale when they posted it. I had a friend pre pay for her clothing (which is how you apparently buy everything from them) because she was not in the area until the weekday and they had an employee take her item, did not inform her until she made the 2 hour trip down to salt lake on her only free day. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The people are rude and all it is things for sale that you could buy online brand new for cheaper. And everything they have that anyone would even want is not for sale. All it is click bate. Save your time and just go to DI. read more
