I love this store so much! They are selective in the clothes they take on consignment, so the clothes you are purchasing are always of great quality at a great price! I was greeted cheerfully upon entering my first time and they explained the different color tag sales, etc. I was so impressed by this store! It was such a great experience and I found many wonderful gifts for the holidays. They have new items as well that are fun! As well as accessories, shoes, make up, etc. And, they have "store" cats that wander and I love that! However, I imagine it would be hard on those with allergies. Loved this place! Amazing place to shop for unique clothes and festival-ware. Honestly, it changed my perspective of "what is SLC?" and the diversity that exists in Utah. It's pretty huge, and about 50/50 consignment (curated and thus higher prices than thrift) and rave outfits (new). Ended up with several great finds. Was driving by and had a little time before needing to go to the airport, so decided to stop in here. It's a cute place with a lot of fun clothes! The cats were soo cute chilling right by the front door. My guy had fun hanging out with them while I did some shopping. The staff was right there to greet me when I came in and gave me an explanation of how the shop works. It was very efficient and left me with no questions. I absolutely loved the dark, horror clothing they had, but it was all too big for me since they were men's clothes. The store is definitely affordable with some great finds! Just be aware that some of the things they purchase are from SHEIN and they will charge you more than SHEIN does. I did find one really cute dress from the used clothes section that I loved. Unfortunately, it was too big for me so I left without getting anything. I would come back here if I had the chance. Would be especially perfect for raves and pride outfits. read more

IconoCLAD is such fun to visit, even if you don't buy anything it's still fun just to look around! I liked the variety of new and old items. Be sure to check what color tag sales are going on! All of the staff were super nice, and greeted us when we walked in and asked if we'd been there before. Not only clothes, but a variety of sunglasses, earrings, bags, and even some fun decor items! Good value overall too. Be aware it is not necessarily child friendly, depending on what you're ok letting your child see. Wow I have to say this place is the coolest and I wish I came here earlier to sell my clothes instead of other places cause it seems like it would've done better here! They took a lot of my dresses and shorts for the burn so hopefully it sells which is cool. They have an interesting business models as you can see at the store there's a lot of thought that goes into the pieces. I really was looking at some of the burner outfits and I have to say they're really one of a kind here. If I go back to burning man, I would def shop here. I am obsessed with this store. It was recommended to me by a bartender in Park city. There are two locations in Salt Lake City. One store is significantly bigger than the other. I started there, the sales person greeted me at the door and asked if I had been here before I had not so she gave me the lowdown. half the store is used clothing while the other half is new. they have color coated tags offering 25% off 50% off or 75% off! This place has their own cats roaming around the store and chilling in comfortable kitty houses. The clothes I found were amazing! No matter what you're looking for, you can pretty much guarantee you'll find it at iconoclad. Pasties? Check. Cool shoes? Check. Cats? Check. But you can't take the cats home with you. I may or may not be speaking from experience. I have so many selfies here (you get a discount if you post to social media and tag them, stop judging me) that my phones created it's own folder for them! I buy and sell clothes here, and at this point at least half my closet is clothes from iconoclad. It's environmentally friendly to thrift, you can gang with the shop cats, and they get in new clothes literally daily. They also have locally made stuff, so that's neat. There's a ton of sales and discounts (I got three rad shirts for like $5 last weekend, which I didn't even pay for because I had in store credit) and their selection is great. The people that work here are cool. Their clothes are cool. Their cats are cool & they stay involved with the community. Solid consignment shop. Oh how I love Iconoclad. Let me count the ways: 1. Cats - like literal cats in the shop in case you need a dose of cute and cuddly. 2. Tights - some have cats on them some have space on them some are plain but all are reasonably priced. 3. Hilarious Instagram - if you steal from them you are going to get publicly shamed. Or if you happen to be a terrible politician you will also be publicly shamed. 4. Pandemic response- I bought two masks from them when the pandemic started and they were so good with communication and updates on shipping. They have great stuff both new & used, great prices, and they take care of their staff and our community! You have the option to donate your unsold stuff to people in need. Before 2020, THIS was always the place to go to get great masks for our often-harmful air quality. Now they've expanded their mask offerings and continue to be the place to go for stuff you can't get anywhere else. There's a reason they keep getting on Best of...lists! I cannot express how much I love this store and how amazing the humans are that work here. The business concept is genius and super effective. The garments and shoes that are purchased and sold are meticulously looked over for damage and steamed. They will make exceptions for super fantastically rare items that have minor flaws. However, when shopping here, the buyer can purchase with confidence that the items aren't smokey and stained. And if they find a flaw in one of the garments you're selling with them, they give you a courtesy call to pick it up or donate it! IconoCLAD also sells garments, jewelry and terrarium thingys (yes this is a technical term) from locally made artists. When checking out, you get a cool sticker and a choice of one item from the "free bin" (oh yes the little things)! The vibes inside the store create the best and most positive environment. Super cool music is always playing, everyone always greets you upon entry and informs new shoppers of the discounts and store operation. Oh and the kitty cats add the perfect flare. OMG THIS IS MY HAPPY PLACE. Kitties AND cool clothes AND everyone has to wear a mask! DH & I found SO many treasures here, and for amazing prices. We were only in town three days and went back a second time! We had to make room in the car for an extra bag on our road trip. They have both used and new clothing, shoes and accessories here, Men's and Women's. I love that everything is arranged by size, it made it really easy to shop. The new clothing is mostly "Festival" or Rave clothing, at low price points. The used or consignment shoes and clothing was very well curated, everything seemed to be high quality brands in good shape. We loved petting the friendly cats who live there, they all seemed very happy and healthy. The items are very affordable and if you come when certain weather seasons are over, then you get even better deals! I've gotten cool sweaters and a cute trench coat for under $3! And they have this one bin with free stuff! And yes if you have a bigger purse they will hold it for you because people steal from here all the time. And no they don't have bathrooms but that didn't warrant a 1 star review either. I've dropped off clothes as well and honestly I prefer thus place over that one other popular consignment store. I can't believe it's taken me so long to venture into IconoCLAD since living here!! Since they are open until 9pm weeknights I had the perfect opportunity that I didn't take for granted! This store has such an eclectic collection of items and I absolutely love the 75%-25% off different color tags depending on item. The most I spent on an item here was $24.50 but most other items I bought were $7 not discounted or $3 after scoring a 75% off purple tag. One of my new favorite local shopping dives and I haven't sold to them yet so I can't speak on that behalf but I plan to do so very soon! read more

Quirky and eclectic; those are the best words to describe this funky little consignment shop in central city. I've been in here a couple times now and I really love the mission of this store. I love knowing that anything that doesn't get sold is given to youth in need. It's really great because they give your items a try at finding a buyer before paying it forward for you. It's really a win-win situation for all parties involved. The collection in here is pretty broad. A lot of retro style items in their consignment, and a great place to go for festival attire as well. My boyfriend always has a hat on, and he found some great ones here. I used to teach belly dance, and they have some great outfits for that in their festival selections. The staff is great and very friendly and helpful. The owner was in here both times I came in, and he seems to really love Salt Lake and wants to do good for all the people in the community.
