There are plenty of shops and restaurants available, which makes it easy to pass the time while waiting for your flight. One thing to note is that there is limited seating available at some boarding gates. Because of this, many passengers line up near the gate area, which can make the walkways and surrounding areas feel very congested when trying to move between gates. Its not a large footprint, but ample enough so one will not feel crowded. As of this post there are 3 commercial flights between Waco and Dallas that cover a distance of 90 miles, and 50 minutes via American Eagle. The flights tend to be booked as American Eagle are normally staffed / managed by 3rd parties. Because of various reasons the outsourcing of these flights can result in delays. I some times question if it's easier to drive or fly between Dallas and Waco, or potentially fly into Austin. But if flying it's an easy commute flight if the connections make sense. I have flown into Waco several times and have never had a bad experience at this facility.

This airport is on the smaller side. Only Southwest and Delta fly through here, but being on the smaller end, made it easy to get to your gate and to get to baggage claim quickly. But don't let the smaller size make you think it doesn't have much. My husband was particularly impressed with the Whataburger kiosk right past security. You can order there and then pick up when you get to Whataburger further down the concourse. DAL also had some live entertainment as well as ample other food and gift options. Our flights were relatively on time; security went fast; and the bathrooms were also clean. It checks all the boxes!
