I was in a bicycle accident three weeks ago, and have been dealing with several areas of really tight and achy muscles. Shaun came recommended for his therapeutic massage, and boy, did he provide relief! He traveled to my house, which was super convenient, and set up his table in my living room. I got to put on my own music, which really helped me relax and enjoy the experience. He was very thorough in asking about my condition and what I wanted to get out of the massage, and he patiently answered my questions before I even got on the table. From the first moment his hands made contact, I knew it was going to be a good session. He made sure he was using as much pressure as I wanted (I wanted a lot) and that nothing was hurting. I felt the tension release out of my body as he went over each area, like he was opening pressure valves along the way. He could tell, just by feeling, exactly what needed attention, and the whole time I was either saying out loud or thinking, "Ahh, yeah, thaat is the spot." The best part is that a day later, I still feel loosened up, so I know it wasn't just a feels-good-while-you're-getting-it massage. Shaun's understanding of anatomy is extensive, and his explanations of how certain parts of my body were affecting others really helped me understand my issues, and how I could work on them on my own (he demonstrated stretches, sleep positions, etc.) I feel like I got so much more than just a massage, and will definitely be scheduling regular sessions with him and his magic hands. When you get upstairs, such an easy-going, clean and relaxing environment, without the stress of hearing conversations in massage rooms next door or waiting in the room looking up each time a massage therapist walks out. It's one-on-one in his apartment and it's setup very comfortably. Now let's talk about Christopher - the nicest person you'll ever meet and you just want to be friends and hang out all the time. He's very adaptive to whether you want a quiet time to catch up on a nap, which I did last time, or a conversation about speakeasies that distracts from some of the pain of releasing tight muscles. Before he starts, he's a good listener and asks insightful questions to provide maximum relief. Once you're on the table, he's also very perceptive to what areas need more attention.
