Thank you for offering a Hyrox class! I understand the gym is new? Or maybe the class is? Either way, I want to share some feedback to help improve the experience. I'd like to mention that I'm nervous about posting this as all the reviews are stellar. Perhaps I need to try some of their other classes as this was just my first one. I've been out of the fitness world for about 5 years, so this is my slow comeback. With that said, although I'm not the fittest, I do recognize a great class when I see one! Unfortunately, the first Hyrox class felt a bit unorganized, and there was some idle time that could have been better used for clearer demonstrations or engagement. For a foundational class, it would have been helpful to provide modifications for exercises to support those of us who may not yet be able to perform certain movements but are working toward doing them by the actual Hyrox competition. Having options for modifications would allow everyone to stay engaged rather than sitting out exercises we're currently unable to execute. It could also be helpful to preset and label exercise zones for larger groups to streamline transitions and make the class more efficient. Additionally, having printed materials or resources explaining the Hyrox format and progression options could add value and help participants better understand how to train effectively. All of this together gave the impression that the class wasn't fully planned, even though it had been advertised in advance. Lastly, I noticed there was some focus on recording content for social media, which seemed to take attention away from creating a fully immersive experience for participants. I'd like to give the Hyrox class another try, as I know first impressions aren't always perfect. I hope these suggestions are helpful as you continue to refine and grow your offerings. read more

I did a drop in at EAAC for their arise class which is just another name for their strength and conditioning class. It has a CrossFit vibe to the class and building. There is no ac and in a warehouse with a big open space. They have plenty of equipment available to all the members. I did Jesse's class and he was really nice and coached a great class. Wow! After searching and trying a bunch of different gyms and clubs in Austin, I found a place that tops them all! Aside from the amazing location and beautiful space, the coaches and the workouts are top notch. The coaches actually care about the members, they take the time to work on form, Coach Megan was able to help me get rid of my back pain while deadlifting. This place is a 1 stop shop for all things fitness, they offer boxing/kickboxing classes, yoga, and a mobility class called "Durable Athlete". Love the coaches here but today during my workout, a guy (I think the GM, he never actually introduced himself or gave his name but I think it's Brandon or Brendan) approached me mid-rep to ask my name and tell me to talk to him after the workout about my membership. I have been coming to this gym on occasion with two friends, using their guest passes, which is part of their membership amenities. He told me that I had 6 unpaid classes, which was news to me, since I've paid for 2 and used guest passes. I told him that I've checked in at the front desk every time and this is the first that I'm hearing of this. He told me it was because I work out at 5:30 and the staff is probably half asleep (sounds like a THEM problem) and then went on to try and discuss the guest pass and when my friends could and couldn't use it, as if that were a conversation he should be having with me as a non-member. I love the coaches here but this guy has zero idea of what customer service or member attraction or retention looks like. I doubt I'll be buying a membership here now because of the rude and aggressive way this guy came at me. They tailored a diet that perfectly complements my workout plan and caters to my individual requirements. EAAC is the best gym and community I have ever been a part of! The gym itself is great space with so many different type of classes and amazing coaches that really care. There is a great mix of strength, olympic lifting, boxing, and HITT at all different times of the day. I didn't know anyone in the area when I joined this gym and I have made all my friends here! And I think most importantly its a safe space, a new gym is intimidating and everyone is so nice here with people at every fitness level working out together. I love the group workout setting lead by an instructor. The instructors are motivating and working with peers pushes me to workout harder, and not skip workouts! The gym from the outside does not look like anything special. Just a warehouse but once inside Holy Crap what a Shangri-La of facilities. Everything needed with great coaches. The rehab room or recovery room with cold lounge is awesome. If you have not cold plunged before it is the perfect addition after a workout. The coaches at EAAC are so great. If you don't quite understand a movement, you can always ask without a worry, they will explain it. They are passionate about fitness and take teaching the classes seriously. There are a bunch of options to choose from class wise too - whether you want more of a HIIT workout, or focusing more on traditional lifts. I've been coming to this gym for about 9 months now, and the way I've been able to gain muscle, loose weight and lift more has been incredible! This place has changed my world within the last month! My mood and energy have skyrocketed. I feel stronger and more confident. As a recent cancer thriver I am getting to know my body again and testing limits. EAAC partners with Team Survivor Austin which made me feel like it was a safe place to try something new. I had never weight lifted before or done much circuit training. The trainers are SO friendly and encouraging. I've worked with Raquel, Wlad & Priscilla. They are all wonderful in their own ways. I feel supported and challenged at the same time. The gym is clean and well-kept. It is also dog friendly. My little chihuahua mix loves going there! I just tie her to a kettle bell and she gets loved on when folks are walking past her. The Ascend and Hiit it! classes are fabulous. You can work at your own level surrounded by other people who are encouraging. The other clients are kind and friendly. The workouts are 1 hour and are offered many times throughout the day. They welcome folks to bring a friend for free on Thursdays, so reach out to me if you ever want to try it out. read more

The coaches constantly recommend good form, techniques, and proper stretching. This is important because you can safely hit your goals. - Great facilities and gym equipment. They have everything you need to get a solid workout in. - Data driven results. Each workout is tracked with a heart rate monitor so you can see how many calories you've burned after each workout and track your progress. - There's a sense of community and family. This gym is awesome! I randomly found it messing around on yelp and joined the next day. The gym is very clean and organized. There is a ton of room with both rubber flooring and turf. They're still in the process is of building out showers and a yoga space. All of the coaches are great, fun and welcoming! They will take the time to explain every movement as well as monitor and encourage you the whole time. The classes are challenging but can be scaled to any fitness level and everyone in the community is very friendly.
