There is a lot where you can pay by spaces (about $2 per an hour, very affordable). There are bathrooms inside on the top floor and tables and chairs scattered throughout where you can eat lunch that can be purchased downstairs or at the farmer's market. We bought Pad Thai for $7 from Baan Phad Thai in the farmer's market and it was delicious!! We also found two amazing houseplants, Roos Rois Coffee, and fresh Apple Cider! We have one kid and freely shop both sides of the store. The staff is friendly (if sometimes spread a bit thin), and generally knows where stuff is. The clothing itself is fine; similar to Target, sometimes not as nice as Gap, definitely not Patagonia. We buy a lot of T-shirts, socks, and underwear here, but go elsewhere for the one good snowsuit. Parking is usually easy, though there's a bunch of Plum Market traffic. A fine place.

Today I learned that after selling to this location for the past 6 years, they ONLY buy clothing that is less than 3 years old. I brought in a tote full to the rim with gently used in season, in style, clothing ranging from coats, tops, bottoms and shoes. Out of about 50+ items I brought in, only 3 items were purchased for a total of a measly $3.30. (For reference, used dirty shoes at this location are sold for $5+ a pair. There has been many times I've seen literal poop on the bottoms of the shoes being sold . So gross) The items they purchased consisted of 2 pairs of formal dress shoes that my daughter NEVER wore. And a pair of fleece lined leggings that looked like they paired with an outfit I also brought in but somehow the outfit was not purchased only the bottoms. When I got my buy receipt, I was advised that "all clothing has a date and they do not accept clothing over 3 years old." This is the first time I heard of such a ridiculous rule. I don't buy my child's clothing from thrift stores and most of the items I brought in were 1 size smaller than what my daughter wears so my items would not have been over 3 years old. So naturally I asked where this magical "date" on the clothing was as the items I was pulling out of my "pass" pile DID NOT have dates. The cashier did not know so she went in the back and pulled out a random vest and showed me a Target brand tag that showed a date behind the size tag. If this is the way OUAC buys clothing then it should be advertised BIG, BOLD, and UPFRONT. We drove 30+ mins to waste our time. I would have been better off donating the clothing to Goodwill and saving my gas and time selling here. They recently renovated the entire store inside and out. Finally getting rid of the smelly carpet. I guess they have to recoup their money somehow right? I attached a photo for reference of the note that was written on my buy receipt . Save your time and gas money folks, avoid this place if you need to sell your kids clothes.

It seems like things run much better when the owner is present. What's also concerning is the behavior of some employees. In a store full of parents and kids, I've heard staff using inappropriate language and speaking negatively about the owner. Interestingly, I've only heard these comments when the owner isn't there, which makes the environment feel unprofessional and uncomfortable. i'll be going to different locations now but I hope management addresses these issues for other customers.

Hidden away in a strip mall on the far west side of Ann Arbor, Grow With Me is nondescript on the outside but bright and welcoming on the inside. Racks of clothes are organized by age. Clothing for toddlers and the under 10 crowd dominate, but there's also a room dedicated to clothing for teens and tweens. In addition, the store sells a variety of used toys, games and books in excellent condition, as well as a few new items. Another great thing about this place is that they have a table for disseminating information about childhood autism, and some of the proceeds from the shop go to charities related to autism.

I kept it paid off every month. I went over the limit - and paid the entire amount off in one payment and I have not paid one dollar in interest. When I made the last payment, they placed a hold for 7 days! I could not get them to release the hold, the representative said it could not be removed. The sale ends today. I felt angry but I cancelled the account. It is unfortunate because you get good deals and I like their clothing. As for the store shopping experience, the last time I was in the store, the sales personnel followed me while in the store and while I tried clothes on. (Ann Arbor store on Washtenaw) I feel disappointed but I guess I don't need anymore clothes.
