Last Thursday, I ended my therapy for a injury to my hand that required surgery. My surgeon recommended that I see a therapist who specialized in rehabilitation of hands. I saw Jodie Auliff twice a week for over two months. I was extremely pleased with the therapy program she designed for my recovery. I have been to several Athletico facilities in the past, and was impressed with the variety of equipment that I was directed to use. Jodie was very professional, courteous, kind and respectful. She was sincerely concerned with any pain that I might experience. She always informed me of my changing goals and asked for my impute. I was given clear instructions (both printed and verbal) as to how I was to work on my home therapy program. My therapist Bob K was great from the consultation to full recovery from rotator cuff surgery. On days I felt I would never move my arm again he found ways to push me through with compassion and humor. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. read more

Do not choose this place! Office staff not very friendly and the therapies they had me do I could have done at home. I wasted a lot of time and the cost was astronomical even with insurance. If it were up to them I would be in therapy for a year. read more

This place is a complete waste of money & time. Our therapist was also the Office Manager and couldn't decide which job was more important, managing her staff, answering phone calls or working with the 6 patients she scheduled for that hour!!! Yes, you are not top priority if you come here! The therapist spends a total for 10 minutes with her patient & then passes them off to her underlinks. Who are not therapists, but students. They stand around watching you doing lunges while they gossip. Completely unprofessional. You can find a Therapists that cares about your rehab & will put the effort into making sure you get the proper treatment somewhere else. read more

I have been going to this facility for several years. Different surgeries were the reasons I needed PT. My most recent visit was from April to July, 2015. The therapists I've had over the years, Karen, Susan & Rachel, have all helped me tremendously. Each therapist knew what they were doing and how to treat my problem. Each one of them was able to help in my recovery. I have never felt that the therapists I've worked with didn't spend enough time with me. They have always explained the reason for the treatment they gave. The aides at Athletico are great. They are always willing to help you with whatever you may need. Everyone there is professional, caring and makes your experience as pleasant as physical therapy can be. I would highly recommend this Athletico to anyone in need of physical therapy. read more

I recently completed occupational therapy at the Lake in the Hills Athletico following surgery for a wrist injury. I had a fantastic experience working with Susan. She was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in her approach with me. She made sure I knew how to do the various exercises correctly and coached me on things I should and should not be doing to reach my goal of getting back to my active lifestyle without risking injury again. Honestly I was skeptical about therapy before I started but it turned out being really valuable. I would highly recommend this location. In addition, I never had any issues with scheduling and found the process of making appointments, handling insurance payments, etc. to be very easy. read more

You'll spend the first 10 minutes "warming up" on an exercise bike which is just an excuse for them to spend 10 minutes less with you. Then your therapist will show you an exercise, watch you do a few, then tell you to do three sets of thirty (or whatever). He or she will then leave you to go work with one of the other four or five patients they're seeing that hour leaving you to hope you're doing everything right instead of potentially hurting yourself. Don't go here. Find a PT that's affiliated with a hospital and who will work with you and only you during your appointment. read more

This facility is pathetic. I went in for therapy after my surgery and was signed up with a therapist named Susan. These guys will first introduce you with a therapist and subsequently after the first session will assign you with junior kids who are not therapists! These kids are all students doing part time job here. All they do is to tell you to perform an exercise and either stand and keep looking elsewhere or they walk away and come back when the timer for that exercise rings. The main therapist is hardly with you (90% of the time you are with the kids); I was foolish to go for 6 sessions and stop after that. I called to get a final assessment done before my doctor's appointment (a month after surgery) and another kid received my phone said she will look into my file, talked to the therapist and said my 'script' is expired and I need another note from the doctor. I pretty well know they were avoiding me because I complained at the end of 6th session that the therapist is hardly with me. I asked the kid to have the manager call me - its anyone's guess - no calls from them. AVOID THEM is you can!!! read more
