I was happy with the staff but the price per visit was extremely high. I will not go back-ever!

Very unfortunate and sad to do children this way for an extra dollar but that's the world we live in. Money rules everything. Don't even bother trying to reason with them, ask questions, or have a real conversation. The people who answer the phone will get defensive and combative instead of just apologizing and saying they're doing their best -- even if they're not. I would've respected that way more than them arguing with me over something someone else told me. Especially when they weren't even there to hear it, yet still tried to defend it. People tend to want to protect their own rather than be upfront about what's right and what's wrong.

A red flag should have went up when the owner said all of her clients had Medicaid for insurance. This should have let me know to manage my expectations significantly. I will give a disclaimer that I did start enrollment with more established ABA centers with private insurance so I have an awareness of what it should look like. The intake is completely informal and all on paper. If you do not have insurance they have a grant for private insurance. Which is great! They have an app where the rbt should communicate what is happening with your child. The first day was 9-1 and he had a great day. I wish he would have stayed with this therapist because she was awesome. She communicated if ate went to the potty and sent videos. The second day we returned and he was assigned one therapist and then I later received messages from a new therapist. I think it would have helped if they informed me we were getting a permanent assignment. They claimed because I dropped him off 5 minutes early is why I wasn't aware. Early drop off is not discouraged it's encouraged to be on time. In hindsight I should have known the day would be off because when I met with the therapist I was going to let her know things to look out for and she quickly dismissed me and said mI was briefed on him already. (This should have told me then girl run)!!! The process was not transparent at all. When something can't be made clear to me It's another red flag! They don't let you know who sits with your child at lunch. How many staff is with your child for the day? The first week is pairing, what does that actually look like? My son was given an iPad to play with on day 2 . In past situations the bcba needs to do a report for insurance and should assess your child's skills. That is the first step. There was no communication that states welcome your start date is this day. In fact the manager Jasmine told me at least two different dates. She also had a horrible attitude and speaks to the parents as if they are garbage. I had to ask hey when is Luke enrolling what is his status? I brought simple cupcakes to celebrate his birthday. They were sitting on a table all day and the staff didn't know they were for him. I don't know if they even knew who my son was. I made lunch for him the clueless therapist didn't even know he had a lunch for that day. I spoke to the manager Jasmine and she is completely oblivious to any accountability on just keeping parents informed and the basic training of the rbt's. When you come into the building they don't say hello they just scream into a walkie drop off pick up. There are currently 32 kids. They just seem overwhelmed. The rbt claimed because my child was screaming she gave him an iPad. Most children with asd have tantrums and meltdowns. She is supposed to help manage this. I don't think the owner really cares she just wants the grant money cause she is going on leave. It is really disorganized. I'm wondering if it's more her staff and not the owner. If you're absolutely desperate and have no options this may work for you. If you are actually an informed and educated parent that cares about what happens to your child that is probably non verbal this isn't the place. I just found them to be really unprofessional overall. They don't give a damn. It's a shame because our kids have so many needs it really needs to run like a well oiled machine not just thrown together.

It was such a time of worries for me , about my daughter's future , and I want to tell everyone what a incredible start that Kids in Motion gave my daughter. My daughter became a Bronze Medalist at Upper Great Lakes Figure Skating Regional Championships at at 15 years old , qualified for sectionals. and then at age 20 , competed for College of Lake County, Cross Country at Nationals two years in a row, then transferred to Northern Illinois University as a Cross Country NCAA D1 athlete . This is the baby of mine that started to walk at two years old , but then on her toes and I believe she graduated from kids in motion at age three? It was a long time ago and I waited this long to brag , and give all credit to Kids in Motion , because with out early intervention at my daughter's age starting at seven months old , I do not believe my daughter would of achieved what she has achieved so far, with the biggest form of gratitude, I thank you Kids in Motion staff year 2000.-2003 . My daughter is pursuing a career in physical therapy and athletic training as an undergraduate at NIU.

Soprts and ortho has some of the best therapists working there I have encountere d for chronic , old injuries. I was recommended to this woman owned business from my podiatrist who has a business near the area…read more I decided to try them in November, 2024. I was shocked how large this facility is. I have been to prior physical therapy business where there was only 1 therapist who dealt with you solely and I have also been to other therapy businesses where there are several therapists to choose from to get your therapy. I feel it's only fair to break down this review/rating into categories: Location: 2 stars - convenient Beverly location with ample parking in their private lot. I didn't feel comfortable parking in the lot - although there are tall light posts back there, they don't come on and it's completely dark in the lot. I would try my best to park on the side of the business but it's limited parking over there and they had started construction in that area as well where temporarily you couldn't park in those spaces. Treatment: 4 stars - physical therapists really work hard to help your condition. They thoroughly massage the injured area, give you exercises at the facility and at home. I feel the treatment did help my foot quite a bit. I didn't like the fact that even though I could of had an appointment with my scheduled therapist, if they were still working on someone, another therapist would guide you as to what your therapist notes are to do until your therapist is available. Staff: 2 stars - front desk staff was nice and friendly. The physical therapists were friendly as well which I could appreciate. What I didn't like is the unprofessionalism that not all but a few of the therapists had. While I would be getting my massages, certain therapists would be talking negatively about other clients out in the open by either saying their name outright or using first initial, last initial in front of everyone. I was also directly given information from two therapists about patients there (who they liked, who they didn't) and as a client, I shouldn't be told about any of that, it made me uncomfortable. I'm not going to be trusting that when I'm not around that I won't get talked about too and it's a valid concern. Staff needs to have a level or professionalism and be very careful also what's talked about due to HIPAA laws. Privacy: 1 star - The facility is built very well - each station had a table with a surrounding curtain to use for privacy but they were not being used most of the time (I only saw it used once while there). I saw body parts that I shouldn't of seen (e.g. a man's fully bare hairy chest (and he was a big man). These curtains should be used to give the privacy necessary for who is being treated and other clients around. That's what they are there for. Equipment: 5 stars - There is all kinds of equipment there to help you with whatever ailment on your body you have from exercise machines to balls to ultrasound machines for massage/pain therapy. I'm glad this business was able to help me but I do hope the things mentioned can be worked on because they are serious issues that can make or break someone continuing to use this facility.
