The doc is great/knowledgeable when I got my assessment and knew what I needed done. The staff are friendly and always willing to strike up a conversation to make you feel more at ease and at "home". I did shop around before landing on this place and they were the more affordable option for me. My wife goes to different place and pays 3x as much. She said she wished she chose this place instead. I went to Creative Rehab when I was having soft muscle problems and the exercises they gave me to…read moredo helped me immensely in recovery and rehab following total hip replacement. All my nurses, assessment people and physical therapists have been amazed by my progress, telling me I'm weeks ahead of schedule and doing exercises that most patients are unable to do for a month. Anita, the owner of Creative Rehab, told me that if I needed hip replacement, it was important to strengthen the muscles ahead of time, and she was right. All but two of the exercises I was given post-op were exercises she gave me the previous year. I saw Anita because I had a complex problem and found her to be eons ahead of many other practitioners. She looks at the whole picture when assessing patients. Many specialists see just their piece of a problem, but Anita is extremely knowledgeable and understands how everything works together. She's also great at explaining thoroughly what the problem is and what the solution is. Her focus is on the patient. If she can help you, she will tell you. If she feels the problem has a source beyond her realm, she'll let you know that, too. Very honest, kind and compassionate. While my experience is strictly with Anita, I would trust anyone at Creative Rehab. Given her concern for the patient, I'm sure everyone she hires is more than competent. Anyone who has had blood drawn knows how quickly this can go wrong. Today I went back for a follow up and met with their NP Katie who was friendly and took the time in detail to walk me through my results and answer any questions I had. Very down to earth, honest, friendly,compassionate and caring. These visits were before surgery. I felt and was able to tolerate my bad knee during treatment but eventually needed a knee scope especially due to a torn meniscus. After surgery (Brian moved on,sorry to see him go) THANK YOU BRIAN. I had Therapist Rebecca S for a few weeks, she was also compassionate, friendly, always smiled likes her work, cares for her patients and was honest and answered any questions I had with dignity. They didn't want to accommodate my work schedule. My treatments were because of an automobile accident. When I asked to communicate with my therapist Mark. The front desk girl who does the appointment scheduling didn't allow me to. My last appointment the same front desk girl did my PT when it should have been a licensed PT. I was discharged way too soon. I don't recommend his place for PT. I highly recommend going to Northsore or Northwestern for PT. ATI released me to get paid instead of helping me get back to 100% better.

The orthopedic walk-in clinic is a huge plus in the community. I deducted a star because customer service could be better. First, there are repetitive forms to be filled out even when the same form was recently filled out asking the same questions and there are no changes. More handicapped accessible parking is needed. Comp Ortho is a good alternative to the local hospitals that are more hit-and-miss.

I ended up with a flat right foot. It was fused. He created a disability for me, no cure. No improvement. I am still dealing with this and am considering malpractice. I am a medical professional and he has cost me too much down time where I lost thousands in pay. When I complained, their office manager, a man with an MS degree shut me off and told me I was no longer invited to receive their services. He blocked me from making further appointments. Told me I was not accepted to come back. Why? Think about it. Why? Be ware. When I see Dr. Engel on his television ad, walking down a road to a skippidity do-dah tune, then jumping up and clicking his heals together, pissed me off. I can't do that but he can. They closed thier doors to me because I complained. Do not go there.
