I was looking for exercises I could do to strengthen the knee. That's all I wanted. They took X-rays and told me the other knee that I have no problems with was worse! They never mentioned the special and got me for over $500. They told me all the great things they were going to do. They called it physical therapy not chiropractic. They said they could have a therapist stretch my neck. I don't have problems with my neck but I thought a little neck massage by a therapist would feel good. So, when I got there for my first visit, they showed me a leg brace they wanted to fit me for. It was huge and covered most of the leg from the knee down. For what, occasional knee pain? I said no thanks. Then I went for "physical therapy". It was run by 2 young disinterested guys who talked to each other and obviously didn't care about the job. They were definitely not therapists of any kind. Next I went for a few minutes to the supposed real therapists and I thought, oh good, now he's going to massage my neck. No way! He never laid a hand on me. Only did something with a board that I can't even describe because I don't know what it did. Nothing as far as I could tell. Next I went to the nurse who would give me a gel shot in the knee cap. She did this and at my second visit gave me some little shots around the knee cap. The next day I went to the mall and had so much pain in my knee that I was limping down bad I had to go home. That was my over $500 experience with this place. I was worried about their diagnosis of the knee I had no trouble with, that the knee cap was out of joint, so I went back to the real doctors at Northwest Community hospital and got a real unskewed xray and they said that knee was fine. I quit Body Works after 3 visits and asked for the return of my money. I had been told that my insurance and Medicare would pay most of it. Now they told me, well it's not really physical therapy, it's billed under chiropractic and Medicare doesn't usually pay for that, but we will see. Now after months of reaching out to them, they finally told me that after 3 visits my $500 plus dollars was all used up and that I owed them even more but they weren't going to collect it! How nice of them! So go to Body Works if you want to see a real scam at work!

I had a Groupon for a massage here. This review is strictly for the massage only…read more I get massages often as I have a lot of muscle pain. Usually, when I go to get a massage at a Chiropractor office, they are amazing. The techs know the muscles and how they work and I always leave feeling so much better. This was not the case here with JR and I am curious to know if he's licensed? This was a very unprofessional massage. Note, he was a nice man, but his lack of knowledge in massage was evident. To start off, there was no cover on the face piece where you lay your head into. Your skin goes directly on to the leather material. After a while, my skin started to pull and become uncomfortable. When I was done, I had a red scratch mark left on my cheek. There was no rhythm to his massage. It was very random. He would sometimes do one side and forget the other side. He did absolutely no muscle work at all. None. All he does is rub the surface of your skin. Which leads to another issue. He doesn't use enough oil and he repeats movements on the same area so many times (I started to count, it could be more than 20 times in the same spot). So the oil starts to dissolve and he's rubbing your skin raw. It was actually painful. For the next 24 hours, my whole back felt like it was on fire. He also would do random pushing down, leaning into your body with pressure. I have had this done before, but the areas he did this on would cause my lower back to hurt. He wasn't doing it correctly. There were multiple times where I almost asked him to stop. But I'm too shy and stayed the entire hour. I even tipped him for his time. But when I left, my neck hurt, my lower back hurt, my skin was on fire and my face has a scratch on it. I am good to go as far as saying he is not trained professionally. What makes things worse is I tried reaching out to the office by email, explaining the situation. But here we are, days later with no response. I did some research afterwards and see that others have complained about the same person and experience. Why this office will not hold him responsible or fix the situation is beyond me. It's really too bad. The office otherwise seems like they have some great things available. But if you are not interested in making it right with your customer and don't fix the issue with your one massage therapist, it leads me to believe you are not the right place to go to. I decided to post solely to warn people not to get a massage there. I would be concerned that someone older or with back issues may leave injured.

I have never injured myself and have spent the last 20 years heavily investing in chiropractic, acupuncture, massage and other forms of body work and supplementation. My muscles seem to always return to their native state of abnormally tight which affects my daily life. I have worked with James twice now and have to say that what he is doing is both unique and incredible. He takes into account the emotional stressors and trauma that we are holding in our bodies. If you are frustrated with pain and feel stuck or if you want to avoid spending lots of money on other types of body work, I highly recommend seeing James first.

Up front he told me it was not about knees or ankles, but body mechanics. Also told me my back was going to be next. He quickly identified problem areas, told me why and what I needed to do (stretching, massage gun, exercises & roller balls). Each session he teaches you how to heal yourself. It's not always fun but it works. I have made more progress with him in a few months, than literally years of physical therapy. Thank you Dr. Bach!
