Tucked away and…read morehidden behind trees in an unassuming strip mall on the corner of Smokey Row Rd and Rt 135 is a treasure most of us aren't even aware of; but definitely should be! After failing to get an appointment at four different PT facilities, a web search revealed this facility, Athletico Physical Therapy, right down the street from me. An appointment was available right away. When I went in, I was pleased to find a well-equipped facility, a friendly receptionist, Mikaela, and and exceptional, well-trained PT TIM Eacret. I went in for a torn rotator cuff on my left shoulder and tight muscles in my right leg. I also have arthritis in both knees and back and an SI joint that keeps popping out. Prior PT failed to fix the SI joint and aggravated my knees and back issues. Prior therapy was limited to a few standard exercises, stretches, weights, massage and electrical stimulation. It felt good but was ineffective. Tim came up with different therapies, exercises every time I've come in. Each time, he explains which muscles he is targeting, where located and what result he is looking for. He modified the exercises to avoid aggravating my knees and back. He also incorporated exercises to strengthen my whole body - not just what was written on the prescription, because, as his trainer taught him, "Don't be afraid to look beyond the immediate injured area because the whole structure of the body works together." This time, after being in pain since 2016, I am truly looking forward to being able to go for walks, hikes in the woods, and bike rides again. Things I haven't been able to do for years. All because of the unique and extensive methods Tim has employed. Manager and PT Josh Barb is also working in the clinic and has achieved fantastic results with the patients he has. You really need to check out this place! They do free evaluations if you are having an issue, even if you haven't seen a doctor. So call them up. Make an appointment. You will be so glad you did! 1
