After speaking to Stephanie my physical therapist I understand exactly what the plan was. She explained what dry needling & what to expect. We started on the bike to warm up, then went back to a private room where another PT came in and did the needling into some muscles that were strong trigger points. Surprisingly the needling was not any more painful than a mosquito ....but wait a few hours and then the severe throbbing ,aching, burning in back and 100x more painful than usual. At this point I have only been to pt 2x due to scheduling problems. And I missed one due to illness. Therapy was painful at the beginning, but Savleen was always encouraging and so kind and patient. She was comforting through my pain and talked me through some difficult moments. She gave me exercises to do at home on the days I didn't attend PT. Two weeks out from surgery and I have just about regained full mobility and am so grateful for the entire staff. Appointments were easy to make and the girls who work at the front desk were helpful in figuring out an insurance issue and making my frequent appointments. I actually loved going to therapy even though I knew it would hurt doing it, because the people who worked there were so knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging, beginning with Tiara the receptionist, who always greeted me with a warm smile and inquiry into my well-being as soon as I walked in. Very warm and genuine, you knew she really cared. Meg Barr was my main therapist and she was a wealth of knowledge, having earned her doctorate degree, as have many others at Therafit. Meg was always coming up with new exercises and methods for getting my ankles to stretch and move in ways that they had forgotten. Always upbeat, she was very thorough, from taking measurements in order to actually show me my physical progress every few weeks to coming up with new effective exercises often disguised as play or games, to designing my custom exercise program I could do at home, letting me know she would continue to be available if I had any questions or needed any help even after I was released. No two therapy sessions were ever the same or boring, thanks to Meg and my other therapist, Hunter, a good-looking red-headed guy who gently challenged me every single session but always had me laughing about something with his wry humor and observations about life as well as personal funny stories. I never could decide which of my 2 therapists was my favorite but was convinced I somehow got the two best therapists not just at Therafit Rehab, but in the whole state. However, I am sure the other therapists at Therafit Rehab were equally as qualified and as good as Meg and Hunter are. Even the other patients seemed to me to be a cut above normal, it is such a warm and welcoming place. Everyone you encountered there felt like your own encouraging, loving, caring family. I honestly loved going despite the pain that would usually last for a couple more days afterwards, and I absolutely hated when I had to miss a session. In 2020, I was trying to stretch out a kink in my back and managed to throw out my back! I could…read morebarely breathe and walking was miserable. I called them after a search of yelp reviews and they were able to get me in right away. They "threw the kitchen sink at me" and within a week I was able to move with freedom and carry most objects with a moderate level of discomfort. By the end of the following week, my pain was pretty much gone, and by the week after I was back on track with my workouts and job demands. The office is clean, professional, kind, and incredibly productive! My insurance has a bit of a high deductible, so I eventually had to cut back on the extra treatments being suggested/offered. But the adjustments were always spot on, regardless of which provider I was seeing. Fast-forward two years later and an ongoing neck issue (that I have been ignoring) has begun to cause constant headaches and migraines. I called them and they offered an appointment within an hour of my call! Due to my schedule conflicts, I had an appointment to see them two days later with a wicked migraine. Astonishingly I left much better after a session of dry needling, ultrasound treatment, and possibly the best adjustment i have ever had! By the time I took 800mg of ibuprofen, I felt like new. I know it'll take a few visits to get this resolved, but I have faith they will improve this issue very soon!

She was very thorough, answered ALL of my questions, and explained things in a technical, but understandable way. She took my concerns seriously, didn't dumb things down, and really knew her stuff. It's clear she's great at what she does - not only did the surgery go perfectly, but the staff at the hospital showed a lot of respect for her skill. When I told someone she was my surgeon, they told me I didn't have to worry about a thing because she was a perfectionist in the operating room. And that happened multiple times.

Person answered and said I dialed the wrong extension. I used the extension they provided. I advised the person I needed to schedule an appointment with Doctor Tsay for a EMG and I have a referral. She asked from what office and I told her. She said that the office I provided wasn't compatible with their system and I have to fax the referral to them. I said I was just at the Plumtree location why couldn't I have left a copy. She said it didn't work that way. So how am I supposed to fax it over when I don't have a fax machine. Something has to give with our medical system and people need to do their jobs. The system is failing. It's ridiculous to have to go through all these hoops to schedule an appointment. She was not only seeing 4 patients at once but multitasking with each one. previously I had a therapist here, Christi, who saw me 1 on 1 and that was far more beneficial. I'm not sure what determines who gets what care but it felt like money down the drain This last go round. I ended up stopping my therapy without any relief from the pain. Also their equipment is worn and needs to be replaced. The beds are torn and gross and all equipment needs to be replaced/updated.
