I wouldn't say it was "comedy" as much as it was a witty, funny tour guide that liked to make a few wise cracks along the way. We loved it. The route must be known by the locals, as many folks on the streets seemed to know the Funny Bus and would wave and smile as we drove by. We had a fun group, and we mostly enjoyed meeting some new people and having some fun with those folks. We learned some things and had some laughs along the way. Would totally recommend. And yeah - it was a hot day, but we really didn't think it was bad on the bus - the open-air style (no windows, really) allowed air to flow through and keep things comfortable enough.

Everything about this tour was amazing. But the shining star... our tour guide Jerome! He was an absolutely perfect guide and great guy! (We were very sad to say bye to him at the end of the day!) He was SUPER knowledgeable about wine and was able to explain things in a way that was easy to understand, and we learned so much from him! He took us to three great wineries, we got to spend about 2 hours at each I think is what it came out too. All the wines we had were fantastic and with his help, we were able to get so much out of the tasting experience. Since we were staying in Blue Ridge, we had the option to drive to one of the wineries to meet Jerome, and then he drove us to the wineries from there. He was a great & safe driver, the van was comfortable and he even had water and snacks for us! Also, they provided lunch for us at the first winery! They had a great choice of options (including vegetarian) and it was delicious!! (I personally got the brisket tacos and it was so good!) We would HIGHLY recommend contacting Pop The Cork if you're in town - and if you can, request Jerome - you will absolutely not regret it and will love him! Aside from the unsafe conditions, the driver stopped to allow people on the who were not part of our group access. Although they were clearly still agitated from their previous ride, the driver still allowed them on to retrieve some beverages that were left behind. Also, in the middle of our trip the manager, Mike Gullatt, told us that we would be kicked off the bus unless we sent a tip via money transfer immediately. You can either select 3 wineries or go with a preset option which we ultimately went with so it made it a lot easier for us. Upon arriving to each location, Georgette checked us in helped keep us on track (with time). Being an event planner myself, it was nice to not have to take the lead and have someone do it for you.
