Not a terribly bad way to spend five hours in Atlanta. They say to be at the meet up point 15 minutes before the tour start time of 900am. The tour guide didn't show up until 900am. He checked us in, and some of the prepaid people were missing. He calls his boss, who presumably reaches out to the missing. We then spend the next 15 minutes sitting in the Peachtree Center as he describes the center and the surrounding area, just killing time to see if the missing arrive late. We finally get going, and the tour guide talks nonstop, in a booming voice, with the microphone turned up full volume, and he plays the harmonica for brief musical interludes. Quite peculiar. At least the bus had air conditioning, although rather weak at times. read more

We did the the wine tour through this company. It was my first time doing a wine tour, but definitely not the last. We went to 3 different wineries, and the tasting was included in the price. Surprised my person with this tour because we are wine lovers so I was looking forward to taking this tour. We usually go to one winery every year and I wanted to experience other wineries in the area. The meeting time was 9:30 on Saturday morning close to the Hilton next to the parking garage. Everyone finally arrived and we hit the road headed toward Helen and three wineries. The first one was the Cottage and it was small but cute. The scenery was great for taking pictures and we purchased three bottles to take home. The second one was Serenity Cellars and it was our absolute favorite. Eduardo was knowledge, funny and on point with the description of the wines so we purchased six bottles from here. The last one was CeNita and it was okay. The wedding that was taking place in the winery made it more fun. After visiting the wineries, we frolicked in Helen and had dinner at Cowboys and Angels. The tour guide and driver Pam was very accommodating and made sure we were good frequently. A bottle rolled out of our bag and was left on the bus, she called the next day to inform us and we were able to meet her to retrieve it. read more

If you are visiting the city of Atlanta, this is a great way to be more familiar with some of the area attractions in history. Our tour started about 9:00 a.m.downtown Atlanta some people were late and the bus and the host was the very best to keep us entertained. While we were waiting for the late party who finally arrived. This tour covered a lot of Atlanta from downtown to midtown to the King center, centennial Park and some of the other notables including the beltline in restaurants in that vicinity. The host I believe her name was Pam. She was very, intuitive and knowledgeable of some things you would even think to ask. She was already telling us about it. I like that while we're on the bus they still stop so we can get some photo ops CNN building in Atlanta. Sign for where the falcons play. We were even able to get a lot of exercise in which Atlanta has a lot of restaurants that we were doing a lot of eating so the exercise was necessary. We had a pretty warm day for it to be March and we were to go across the belt line and see all the residents as well as visitors getting their exercises. We were able to stop at the Ponce market which had a lot of restaurants for people too. Grab some lunch nice tour. read more

I really enjoyed this tour. It was an opportunity to really experience some of the North Georgia Wineries and mingle with strangers. The driver was on a tight schedule. It felt like both a work and personal timeline. She said we had appointments at all the wineries so we needed to be on time. The wine tour didn't start until 0900 ... but we were told to be there at 840, she started calling us at 835. The shuttle bus was comfortable. Plenty of room. The seats reclined and there were phone charging ports between the seat. No issues with temperature. I also appreciated the throwback music of the early MTV days / music videos. Anything from Whitney Houston/ Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars/ Ying Yang twins. I lowkey would love a copy of that DVD. The first winery is about 1.5 hours away - so I would recommend breakfast and bathroom before leaving. On the way back it rained pretty heavy - the driving in the rain made me nervous. I felt we were going incredibly too fast. One lady even had motion sickness and we had to stop to let her out once back in Atlanta. Overall I would do it again ... would love to explore the other wineries in the north Georgia mountains. read more

Wow, not even sure where to begin on this one. . I've been on plenty of bus sightseeing tours, and I've always really enjoyed them. The tour guides were always friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and easy to talk with. I had the exact opposite experience on my tour with this guide. When I met up with my guide, he was talking so loud and It was embarrassing. I hoped he was just talking loud because he thought he needed to be heard in a large place but it was really echoing off the walls. Nope! I was wrong. He talked that loud through the entire tour. I was thinking damn I should've brought earplugs, but who knew... . Anyway, he was very knowledgeable, but he talked so fast that it was hard to understand. He just continued to go from one subject to the next. It was rambling. I couldn't absorb much of what he said because he yelled it all so fast and he never paused or asked for questions. He didn't seem to be naturally comfortable with people. I will say he really loves Atlanta and he has an enormous amount of knowledge to share. This was my first bus tour (& first time in Georgia) as I normally do walking tours. It was a five hour trip with a few stops along the way and a 40 min break for lunch. I have never met anyone as knowledgeable as Don Moore. He talked the entire time with interesting facts, lots of history, humor, and a little harmonica playing and songs. After the tour I visited a few spots he highly suggested, feeling more confident exploring them as a solo traveler. It was an excellent experience and helped make Atlanta come alive for me. So much fun! It's a little confusing finding the building, and where to go in to meet your guide if you take your own car but it is worth it! Our tour guide was so fun, and he would put in little musical interludes with his harmonica. The sight seeing was great, and I suggest going at the beginning of a trip because a lot of the items that are pointed out such as museums and other activities are something you can go do on other days. The wine tour was awesome and had a lot of fun. When we returned to the parking lot someone had broken in two of our vehicles and stole items out of our car and trunk. THEY should find a safer pick up and drop off spot. I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened. There are plenty safe areas in Atlanta metro to catch this shuttle. Breaking in cars is the number one crimes in Atlanta. I will not be taking this tour again if the drop off spot is anywhere in a isolated area.. DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN A PUBLIC PARKING LOT. It is easy to get lost from the crowd so I advise anyone going to be back at the meeting point 5-7 minutes before the time the Tour guide sets. Took the wine country tour bus, what a fun day! The bus driver Pam is high energy but that's her job to keep track of a bunch of drunk people and get to places on time and safely. Don is extremely knowledgeable about Atlanta and Georgia in general he literally talked for 5 hours straight off memory from Civil War to Sports history. This tour, in great part due to leader Don Moore, was phenomenal! There wasn't a block that we passed that Don didn't point out an interesting house, tree or building. Then he provided musical interludes, either on his harmonica or by singing. Of course, the highlight of any visit to Atlanta is the Martin Luther King church and memorial, which was excellent on this tour. I really liked this bus tour. The guide, Kristine, is very knowledgeable about the city and has a friendly, engaging personality. The tour took us to several highlights and gave a good overview of the city. I really liked visiting the MLK memorial and museum. The reason I take off a star is because the meeting spot for the tour was obscure and I therefore had a really hard time finding it. Almost missed the tour because of it. FYI, it is at the Chick-fil-a in the foodcourt downstairs near the listed address. Additionally, the tour is advertised as being 5 hours, but mine was 4 hours and 10 minutes. I accompanied my friend on this tour. Living it Atlanta, I learned a lot. The tour guide was non-stop talking, spitting out facts and even singing with a harmonica during lulls. He loves history and it was sometimes overwhelming amount of information. The tour fits a lot too, it felt like it was about quantity over quality (time to relax and take it in), which is not necessarily a bad thing but depends on your expectations. Please reconsider the structure of the 5-Hour tour. Spend more time at the lunch break and less time viewing luxury homes. Also if your tour guide has a very loud and booming voice they may not need a microphone inside the small space of the tour bus. Alternatively, you can lower the volume of the speakers. Making the tour a little bit more interactive so that the customers can ask questions of interest to them about the sights that they are seeing might be beneficial as well. Finally, please provide some training to the tour guides so that they may understand that they don't have to talk throughout the entire tour. As a customer who experienced a tour this very day, a non stop talking tour guide can be just as bad as one that doesn't talk enough. Tour guides need to find a happy medium where they allow their customers to take in the sights and process the information that has been delivered to them verbally. Thank you. Took the tour on Memorial Day, my last day in Atlanta. I would recommend taking the tour on your first day of your vacation. Do to the amount of sights compacted in the 5hours you don't really have time to take in the full experience of certain stops. 5 hours sound long but the time really goes by fast, Don is very entertaining, I would recommend this tour. read more
