Old Sport is a hidden gem in the Queens area with the yummiest Halal Chinese food. Think bold, fresh Xinjiang flavors and also your Chinese classics. We got the Combo E (what an amazing deal if I may add) consisting of two of their top beef noodle soups and a lamb/chicken burger. Both noodle soups came with a delicious clear broth and tender pieces of beef, chewy hand-pulled noodles, and an abundance of cilantro on top. The roujiamo was the star of our meal as it was freshly made, crunchy, full of juicy meat and vegetables and an addicting sauce. Don't skip out on the roujiamo, for real. 100/10 stars, definitely will be coming back

The Lagman noodles was super delicious, with intense spicy flavors. This is what I would come back for. The lamb was spiced perfectly, and the accompanying peppers, dried woodear, and other veggies really meddled well together. The noodles were coated with the flavorful suace. The combo was a little disappointing though. Their signature lanzhou beef noodle was just alright. The wide noodles were soggy. The sliced beef was very little, and the broth was not as flavorful as I expected. Lastly, the skewers were really dry.

I wasn't very familiar with Afghan cuisine or what to expect from a halal döner kebab restaurant, but my experience was excellent. One thing I really appreciated was the open kitchen concept. As soon as you walk in, the kitchen is right there on the side, allowing you to watch the food being prepared. Everything feels transparent and fresh. I ordered the chicken gyro, which was packed with flavor and incredibly juicy. I also tried the lamb tikka and beef kofta. Watching the cooks prepare the meat on the large skewers over the grill made the experience even better. The meal came with rice and a side salad, making for a satisfying and well-balanced plate. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.

You get two tender thighs and a drumstick, all seasoned and spiced perfectly. The long grain rice is delicious, and the portions are genuinely massive for the price. The side salad and vegetables balance everything out nicely so the meal doesn't feel heavy. They include three sauces on the side, but honestly the chicken is flavorful enough on its own that I haven't really needed them. When I went in person to pick up my order, the place was really clean and well-kept, which I always appreciate. I also noticed they have desserts, so I'll definitely be trying those next time. I'd recommend ordering in person if you can -- you'll skip the extra Uber Eats fees and get the same great food for less. Hidden gem on Northern Blvd.

The Food The cooking…read morehere is the real thing -- not the flattened, one-note version of Indian food that so many places settle for, where everything arrives tasting vaguely of the same sauce. At Tikka n' Talk, the spicing has genuine architecture. Each dish has its own personality, its own balance, its own arc from first bite to last. You taste individual spices rather than a generic wall of heat, and there's a depth underneath that only comes from someone who actually knows what they're doing. The tikka is outstanding and lives up to the name -- properly charred at the edges, smoky from real high-heat cooking, and still tender inside. That combination is harder to pull off than it looks, and getting it right every time takes skill. The curries have body and complexity. Sauces that have clearly been built rather than assembled, with layers that reveal themselves as you eat. Nothing is greasy, nothing is heavy in the bad way, and nothing tastes like it came out of a can. The bread deserves its own mention. Fresh, blistered, warm -- the kind you keep tearing off pieces of long after you're full. The Room and the Service The name isn't accidental. This is a place designed for lingering, and the atmosphere delivers on it. Warm, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming without being fussy. It's the kind of room where conversation flows easily, where you settle in without noticing an hour has passed. The staff are a huge part of that. Warm, attentive without hovering, and clearly happy you came. They know the menu cold and will steer you well if you ask -- including on spice levels, which they'll actually calibrate to what you want rather than defaulting to whatever's easiest. That kind of care shows up everywhere in the experience. Food comes out hot, timed well, and exactly as ordered. Basic things, but plenty of places fail at them. The Bottom Line Tikka n' Talk is the rare restaurant that's excellent on every axis at once -- the cooking is skilled, the room is inviting, and the people running it obviously care. It's become a regular for us, and I recommend it without hesitation to anyone who asks where to eat. If you haven't been, go. Order more than you think you need. Stay a while -- the name is an instruction, and it's good advice. Highest possible recommendation.

I ordered the goat curry special which came with a side of dal, bread rice and a sweet kulab gaman for $17. With Uber Eats costs and tips, it cost around 25$.

To be completely honest, I thought it was even a little better than the Union Turnpike location. I ordered the chicken over rice with white sauce, and they gave a generous portion of white sauce (which Halal Munchies is known for). They have a few high tables and chairs if people would like to eat there. Fridge with juices or sodas & cakes. Also a freezer with ice cream. Service was fast and we able to head out. The portions are huge! Nephew stated that everything was good. Also received white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce on the side so he can adjust to how much he wanted. Fries were good as well.
