I haven't done this place. I'm looking for ceiling fans. I haven't had any fans installed and I wanted a wide selection, which is the other local home stores don't really have. I walked in and was greeted immediately with a very nice guy. I think he owns the place. They have a huge selection of fans. Lots of colors and styles. Varying price points as well. Some of the stuff they have in stock some of the stuff you can get shipped to your house for your charge. I really liked their selection. Some of the fans are a little pricier, but he was very knowledgeable about all of it. Overall, I picked the same fan for all the rooms and I'm happy with my selection. They do not have someone specifically that puts the fans in, but they can recommend someone who is amazing and I used him and I do recommend him. If you need fans, I think this is a good place to go. But just know fans aren't cheap overall and you're not gonna get like a $20-$50 fan. They do sell nice stuff. Free parking. read more

You might think, what can be so difficult about buying a fan? So when you walk in you will be asked a few simple questions. 1. How big is the room. 2. How high is the ceiling. 3. Is it indoors or outdoors. From there you will be able to custom build your fan. The size and style of the motor. The type of light you want. Then the style and length of the fan blade. It's an amazing process. They are very patient while you go through all the choices. And all the fans they sell are by quality manufacturing companies. And for the "Home Improvement" challenged, myself at the top of the list lol, they have a list of awesome electricians, depending on your area. Oh! And make sure, if possible, get a DC fan. This store was a dans fan until a few years ago. They indicate that their family has owned for many years. The current generation is very customer focused. They were very patient with our questions. We bought a replacement ceiling fan for one bedroom and they mixed and matched a light kit for another room. Very nice after installation. Seems better quality than big chain fans. Just had a wonderful experience with Dan's Fan City-05/2018. Purchased 3 fans and 3 light kits. Caroline was very wonderful to work with when picking out the fans, notifying me when they arrived and when I returned a light kit. She gave me a recommendation for someone (Chris) to install them and they too did a wonderful job. One of the light kits couldn't be used because my front door hit the light and I returned the light kit with absolutely no difficulty what so ever. I will certainly be back for all my ceiling fan needed. I needed outdoor fans with small blade lengths. Caroline was very helpful in picking out what I needed. Do not buy a fan from here! Mr Kim and his family will act nice up front, but will not honor their return policy or warranty assistance if you receive a defective product. Craftmade are low quality fans. You are better off buying Casablanca or Emerson from another store. This store is a borderline scam. I got 50% back for returning my defective product AND Mr Kim said he was going to sell the fan again. Beware if you are buying a fan. It could be used and defective. read more

The switch in my Hunter fan broke and Home Depot recommended DFC. I brought the actual part in and he looked at it and kept asking me if it was remote. It wasn't it was a pull switch. Then he said he didn't have the part and it would be $35 just to order it but they probably didn't make it anymore. The clerk tried to sell me on a $100 fan and $65 for regular installation. I explained that it was a vaulted ceiling that had a drop rod to see if it would be more. He got very upset and kept asking how tall the ceiling was. I told him the fan was at 10' because of the drop rod but the ceiling was 14'. I asked if we could use the existing drop rod mount. He didn't understand at all. He said, "No I asking you how tall the ceiling is! Why you not go to somewhere else!" (Yes - his English was not good and the quote is accurate). Then I went to Lowes and they were excellent and found the part which the clerk verified with their resident electrician to ensure it was correct. I walked out of their with the switch and an extra long chain for $8. read more

Needed to replace a wall switch controller for our fan. First they told us the wrong part number/sold us the wrong part (a wrong part taken out of a display fan mind you) and then refused to take it back and replace it with the correct part. Shop somewhere else!!! read more

If you want a quality fan - don't order from this location. Order online from the corporate office in Florida. It's location is privately owned and does not care about customer service. They specifically said "don't want to get involved" when I brought in my defective fan that I bought from this location. It's sad that companies don't care about customer service. read more
