This review is long overdue. I should have written it a long time ago. When I say Dr. G is one of a kind, I truly mean it. He is, without question, the best dentist I have ever had. His level of skill and precision is unmatched -- he is incredibly meticulous and never lets me leave until he knows I'm completely comfortable and satisfied with the work. We have just recently left the practice for a major HIPA violation. I have lived in multiple states and I have always seen dentists at least twice a year since high school. I am 74 years old. Atlanta Dental Wellness is by far the best dental experience that I have had to date. I only wish they had taken my blood pressure before and after my last visit. I am positive that my relaxation and happiness would have been displayed by the numbers on the device. I am a referral as a new patient and unfortunately, I was not able to make my scheduled appointment that was scheduled for over a month. The initial phone call with Trish was already uneasy as she has a very aggressive tone delivery. My natural instinct was to tell her don't trouble herself with scheduling me but, I was so excited because, I heard reviews about the dentist. However, since I was not able to make my appointment I called back to speak with Trish who again has an aggressive tone and says she will no longer schedule me early since I missed my scheduled time as if I'm not a human and things do not happen. I asked Trish if this was in their policy and she said yes. I said okay, and went along with now an appointment scheduled for August. However, after given my experience with Trish I will NOT make my appointment. Trish is rude and I do not wish to be treated unwelcome! Trish first and second impression made my experience horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would! I was looking forward to meeting the dentist but, I'll pass on a more friendly impression! read more

Visiting Cann Dentistry was a great experience. The office staff was remarkable made me feel comfortable and at home.

I had not been to a dentist in several years due to no dental insurance and recently because I've found out that a lot of traditional dentists use materials and methods that are not really safe. For example the use of mercury and flouride. Cann Dentistry does not use either one and is holistic in their methods and practice. In addition, the office was very bright, clean and inviting. I knew that after not going to the dentist for too long that my mouth was probably not in the best of shape even though I brush twice daily. I've never been a consistent user of floss and I just recently purchased a Water Pik. So anyway, I got some disturbing news, but Dr. Kim, Beth, and Wendy put me at ease and I didn't get freaked out with the exam results.Dr. Kim was very professional and friendly and we even began our discussion over the show "24" when she saw that my email address was a form of one of the characters from the show. So she explained about the issues of my teeth and her recommendations on proceeding. She answered my questions well and gave me some literature to explain the methods that they use. After the exam I sat down for a few minutes with Tricia who gave me an itemized list of the costs of each of the issues that needed to be addressed with my teeth and gums. It was very pricey, but I also knew that I'd get safe and effective solutions here. They did not pressure me in any way and I told them it would probably take a while to get this all done with my budget concerns and they understood. Overall, I'd recommend Cann Dentistry if you are looking for the holistic alternative to traditional dentistry. read more

I found this practice when looking for a dentist to remove metal fillings. Everyone I meet was really nice. They took their time explaining a possible treatment plan, showed me each tooth as they talked through the recommendation, and explained the mercury removal process in detail. I saw Dr. Jackson. Brittany's level of care was wonderful. Reem and Tricia were great also. I feel comfortable with the practice and think they will do a good job on my teeth. Due to a recommendation, I found myself in Dr. Cann's office for a cleaning about 3 weeks ago. Her receptionist was very friendly when it came to making my appointment, as well as when I met her for the first time at the office. I also appreciate how she sends email reminders/confirmations for your appointment. She will, of course, call you instead if you would prefer. Regardless...she's very professional and nice. Dr. Cann's office is very clean and soothing. There's soft music playing, lots of light...I just feel very comfortable when I'm there, which isn't something I tend to say when i'm at the dentist. Today I was back at the office for another scaling and to get a cavity filled. Dr. Cann, as well as her assistant and dental hygienist where beyond gentle and kind during the entire procedure. For someone , like me, who has a very low tolerance for pain...I truly appreciate that. Overall...I'm very happy I finally found a dentist that I like. I highly recommend Dr. Cann for all of your dental needs. :) read more

When I wanted to get mercury out of my body I went to Cann for their superior and safer procedure, switching from a dentist I had seen for many years. They are also quite nice and considerate. However, after that one proceedure, my whole family should have left despite the creature comforts as their prices have been 20-40% higher than another dentist nearby doing the same thing for us for much less. To give them the last chance at keeping my business I showed them an apples-to-apples quote, which they had requested, and they then declined to consider it at all. It was more than an $800 dollar difference. So, we moved on and found someone equally as good and friendly at a much more affordable cost. If money were no object we may have stayed, however, now we save a bunch and get the same quality. read more

I have always had great experiences at Dr. Cann's office. She and everyone on staff are extremely nice. Beyond that, though, I really appreciate their more natural and holistic approach to tooth health. For example, they offer a calcium-based paste that can help with tooth sensitivity, and they offer the option to do a baking soda-based tooth cleaning. FYI, Dr. Cann is a mercury-free dentist and can also remove mercury-based fillings safely. read more

This was my first time at ADW, and I don't think I will be coming back. At my first appointment in Feb 2023 the office staff (who were otherwise courteous and professional) said they had not received my records from my previous dentist. My previous dentist later told me they had been sent twice in Nov and Dec but never opened. Then after taking x-rays and recession measurements, the hygienist (also courteous and professional) told me she would have to consult Dr. Giordano about what kind of cleaning needed to be done. When Dr. Giordano entered the room, he felt the need to explain to me what gum recession is and why it's bad, even though I made it clear to the hygienist and on intake forms that I had had that problem for many years (though it has been stable). He then proposed a four-hour/two-appointment gum cleaning procedure involving local anesthetic, none of which could be done at this appointment that I had waited three months for because he said there wasn't enough time. Perhaps proposing this gum procedure would have been appropriate after an appointment or two (though no previous dentist has ever proposed it), but it seemed aggressive for a first visit. When I asked about just doing the the standard teeth cleaning, he acted as if that was not an option, though that is what I had taken time out of my work day to have done. Also when they said they would want three-month follow-ups going forward and later said something about a four- to six-week follow-up, I expressed concern because insurance covers only six-month visits, Dr. Giordano said that maybe his practice "wasn't right for me," which I guess is his way of saying that his practice is only for people who do what he recommends without question and are not concerned with cost. He asked me to speak with his office manager about what insurance would cover for the gum procedure. After speaking with her, I decided to pay the copay for the x-rays and dentist's fees and leave--with teeth that still needed a cleaning. Maybe this gum procedure would be beneficial for me going forward, but I did not like the way the whole situation was handled. read more

Wow! This was the best experience I have ever had at the dentist! The team explained everything they were doing and provided tons of education on holistic products that do not contain toxic chemicals (without having to ask). It was extremely apparent they were not out to just get as much money out of me as possible. They only took the x-rays that were necessary, even though my insurance would pay for all of them. They also did not try to sell me a mouthguard, instead they provided a list of over the counter ones they recommend. They are out of network, but absolutely worth the the few extra dollars my insurance will not pay for. It is refreshing to go to an integrative dentist that is holistic and cares about me, not just about my money. read more

Unfortunately my experience wasn't good with this dentist. I think the office is clean and professional looking but the issue I have is very serious. After getting my amalgam fillings removed, I didn't feel right in the head. I was definitely poisoned. I know something went wrong. It's been years now and I've spent that time trying to be detoxed of mercury. I even called Roberta Cann about it and cried on the phone to her. She was nice about it but of course she didn't want to admit something went wrong. I'm glad others have had a good experience but since mine was so terrible, I can't tell anyone to get their fillings removed. I felt better before they were taken out. Here are my symptoms. I slightly black out for a half a sec, which is dangerous. I don't feel mentally clear and say things that don't make sense. I move or look weird in my eyes. One time in a store a little girl said why is she walking like this? The girl mimicked me and she started walking like a zombie as if she wa saying that's how i looked. I've been embarrassed on numerous occasions and my words don't always come out right. I also sometimes have trouble understanding people. It's been horrible. I think Roberta Cann should prep her patients by maybe telling them to take certain supplements. Please use the oxygen also when having the fillings removed. I don't even like driving because really I probably shouldn't. I would hope Roberta Cann would help me get detoxed but so far she hasn't. I surr hope people are careful when getting fillings removed.
