I wish there was more parking, but there are other areas nearby to park. The people there are very helpful and kind. If you clean up to their liking after the event, you get your deposit back within the following week. I'd do another event there in the future.

A RELAXING FRIDAY NIGHT!…read more Tonight my husband and I attended one of the First Friday concerts at the center. These concerts occur the first Friday of every month in the upstairs ballroom. They are from 7:00 until 9:00 and feature a variety of artists. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dinner and eat during the concert just as they do during the summer concerts. Tonight's group was "Out of the Rain" featuring Ron HIpp and Carol Statella, a folk duo. It is apparent that they have been together for a very long time because they just flow together seamlessly. I enjoyed tonight's selections which included folk classics and a country waltz. It was great "feel good" music that allows you to forget about everything but sitting back and fully enjoying the moment. It was a great way to spend a Friday evening!

A few months later we found out that she as well as two other members of management (aside from the owner) had were let go (in June). We tried numerous times to reach out via phone and email. Nobody answered or returned calls or emails) This is what I guess could be considered the transition time until they hired the new event coordinator, Lindsay. We met her in late July. Lindsay has terrible professional communication! There were a number of times where she didn't even address me directly when getting matters addressed about my daughter's wedding. There were a few opportunities where she had the chance to redeem herself but the unprofessionalism continued. One time when we met her, she was in a short, fake brown leather miniskirt! Another time she was dressed in extremely short shorts. Oh, I can't forget to mention how our contract miraculously disappeared during the transition. Lindsey actually told us that everything was thrown out whenever she took over. She drew up another contract that was much more heftier in price by several thousand dollars. But we were prepared and had the revised latest contract from Ariel in an email. Lindsey tried to say that it was invalid and it could not be honored. Luckily Craig, the new general manager listened to reason and we got it sorted out. Craig was probably the good part about dealing with the Country club. When we had initially booked, we were told that we were allowed to book outside catering as there was extremely expensive. Of course we had already made a deposit by the time we had finally got in touch with the new staff. They made such a big deal. So instead we had to estimate the amount of guests and pay a per person catering fee. That was a waste of money! The staff was less than helpful. It felt like we were getting punished for not using their catering services. The stupid catering fee did not provide us glasses, silverware,- plates or anything! The only thing that they were nice enough to give us was ice. They would not let us store the wedding cake in their kitchen, so we had to figure that out on our own! It needed to remain refrigerated. They tried to slap on a $650 cake cutting fee which of course we said absolutely not! We brought our own nice serving utensils and they miraculously came up missing before we left! We had reserved two rooms: one was for the ceremony, and the other would be for cocktail hour while the photos were taken. Then the room the ceremony was in will be flipped for the reception. We had no help flipping the room. All they did was take the chairs away and roll out a few tables and put table cloths on them. While my daughter got their photos done, me and my husband we're busy trying to make the room look nice for the guests! Absolutely terrible! If I had to do it all over again, I would most definitely NOT have her wedding there. Everything else about the wedding was great, the catering, our photographer and DJ. The people at Berkeley Hills were not helpful at all! I guess it's a good thing, because at the end of the night when we were cleaning up, there was a roach crawling across the wedding party table! I most definitely do not recommend entertaining a huge event there. It's not worth your aggravation or time! Especially if Lindsey is still there.

The Superbowl is set for this Sunday in Houston, Texas where our hometown Atlanta Falcons will place their bid for the first Superbowl Championship in franchise history! You can feel the excitement throughout the entire state of Georgia! We are so proud of the Falcons and particularly of the man and player Julio Jones has been: http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=18537557 The training camp was empty of course, as the Falcons arrived in Houston last week to get an early start on their practice for the big game. Although I don't believe God takes sides when it comes to sports, I walked the perimeter of the Training Facility offering prayers up for our boys to be their very best both physically and mentally. I prayed they have the game of their lives and of course, kinda hinted at how nice it would be if all that resulted in a victory! LOL The camp has been headquarters for the past 12 consecutive years with practices open to the public usually between late July through mid August. Players sign autographs for about 15 minutes after practice is over, making for a great fan experience for all ages! Each training camp season they also host an annual Kia Friday Night Lights event and other fun events such as Atlanta Falcons Freddie's Summer Bash, opportunities to meet Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, and Military Appreciation Day. Gates open one hour before practice is scheduled to begin. In 2016, there were about 14 training camp days open to the public. Check their website for the 2017 training camp schedule. A visit during practice season is a must for any fan. I imagine this beautiful facility with its open field, steep viewing area and FREE admission will be fully packed come this fall when our Falcons hold the title as the current Superbowl Champions. Can I get a witness? ..... TRAINING CAMP FAN GUIDELINES Please comply with all requests made by field security workers and Falcons staff. Smoking is prohibited. Shirts and shoes are required. Yet they invest ZERO effort in providing the tools their graduates can use to bridge into professional work. No film samples graduates can use in their audition work. This is a VERY basic portfolio development step that any real theatre program worth its salt should be making. But no one from the recently graduated classes has anything to show prospective casting directors of their work over the last four years.
