I booked Atlanta Green Maids about 2 months ago to clean my one bedroom apartment. In addition to cleaning the entire apartment, I also paid to get the refrigerator along with the interior window and blinds cleaned. Something that was annoying was that there were dirty footprints on the floor - likely the floor was still wet when the cleaner walked over it. I feel like that area probably should've been mopped last to prevent that from happening. It wasn't a big deal, but I did rag that area myself to remove the footprints. Also I paid to get the interior window cleaned and it wasn't cleaned at all. They cleaned the exterior/window sill and the blinds but failed to open the window and clean the dust and spider webs. Unfortunately I did not realize this until the next day so I never informed the company about this, plus my lease was about to end and there was no time for them to possibly rectify the situation. Other than that, the rest of the apartment was clean enough for me to get my security deposit back. I searched around for cleaners and they were the most affordable for me and my needs. Give them a try. I recommend thoroughly looking around before they leave and making sure everything is completed to your liking. read more

I have never regretted spending my money as much as I did today when I spent 300$ for these people to "clean" my home. Have you ever had a maid leave your sponge on your kitchen floor?!? They didn't even vacuum my area rug, mop, or sweep under my couch. I paid for baseboard cleaning and window cleaning and it looks the same as when I left. You all should be ashamed taking peoples money with this lackluster service. DO NOT BOOK HERE!! Update: they reached out and offered a refund and a rescheduled cleaning at a later date. Very responsive to making the appointment with many reminders. The maids were super nice and friendly. Terrible, terrible, terrible cleaning. Unfortunately, I had to leave before they were done. If you do choose to use this company, make sure that you go over every single last part of the house so that you aren't caught with a bunch of surprises later on the day. $200 for a 1900 square-foot house. Due to Christmas decorations, I told them only to do the bathrooms, kitchen & then the floors everywhere. SO disappointed. UPDATE: Owner called me immediately after seeing this review and offered a refund, with an explanation (holiday busyness), and asked for an opportunity to make it right in the new year. Unreliable and definitely not consistent with their communication or work ethic. Will NEVER use them again. I made this decision after numerous attempts. They just don't have the staff or professionalism to live up to the needs. Replying. They are correct but what they are failing to inform you is of the complete lack of professionalism and always being late, not throughly doing a great job at cleaning or one occasion, doing a no show. Being reliable as a business and being consistent is tough but it's achievable. So instead of making excuses why you can't hold employees, I would suggest checking within the company as to why they all keep leaving like your clients. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because their customer service was decent. The team that cleaned did nothing. I was getting a move-in clean and added additional services like floorboard cleaning, cabinet cleaning, oven, etc. The place was already cleaned once by the previous owner, so it wasn't going to be anything more than a little once over and some detailing on the extras I paid for. I went out of my way to make it convenient for them by changing my schedule so they could get in 2 hours earlier, doing it before anytbing was moved in so they didn't have to move and rearrange furniture or household items, and signing their paperwork before I left (do NOT do that!). They did nothing. Absolutely nothing. I have been cleaning my floorboards, the window still have bugs in my when I opened my shutters, shower was not touched, etc. I sent photos as requested by customer service, and they decided to just give me a refund. I had to be on top of them a little, but they got it done (which is why they got the extra star). I don't know if they're bad but it may just depend on the team that gets assigned to you. Totally disappointed about the oven!! bathroom wasn't cleaned that well even though I was told they would be here for 3hrs. I had to redo myself with comet...they left their own garbage bag with trash by the fridge when there is a trash can outside. After speaking with a rep and informed the time was 1.5hrs since it was 2 of them, I am just not satisfied with their work overall if I have to go bk and redo things. I admit don't use cleaning services often. I hired Atlanta Green Maids to do a move-in clean since I am 8 months pregnant and wanted to have someone do get us 80% there knowing the house had sat idle for a bit and really needed some love. I was EXTREMELY let down. I only know they showed up because my husband was there to let them in. The only thing that looks cleaned is the fridge and oven (which I paid extra for). My #1 goal was to have the baseboards dusted/cleaned so we could paint (which I called out in comments). I paid extra for baseboard wet wiping, which NO WAY happened. My parents arrived to paint this weekend and we had to spend the first day cleaning and dusting the chair rail and baseboards so the blue tape would stick to edge the rooms. They obviously just didn't do it. Mind you, the house is empty so this, mopping, and vacuuming is really all we needed. I know the house is dirty but they also left 1 hour early (which I was still charged for) so I know they just didn't care and ripped me off. I paid $500+ to lose a day painting with my family and crawling on my hands and knees 8+ months pregnant. You should NOT book with them. read more

I received at least two requests to leave a review, so here's my experience. Pros: communicative (I received a call from the office advising that the cleaning crew was en route) and punctual. Crew was receptive to and immediately addressing of areas that I pointed out as needing additional attention (e.g.:bathroom mirror requires re-cleaning, scuff marks on the floor, glass table with remaining finger prints and/or smudge marks). It is my preference to have the same crew clean my home each time and although they clearly stated this isn't guaranteed, I appreciated that both of my two scheduled services were with the same crew. Convenient scheduling and payment of services online. Cons: lack of attention to detail required certain areas needing to be retouched with each service. I don't expect employees to have on a uniform, however, it is nice if they're uniform (wearing the same shirt with the company logo and whatever pants or shorts they choose--not basketball shorts). Cleaning materials were brought in large, regular drawstring trash bags, which I have NEVER seen with prior cleaning companies (I believe it was mostly cleaning rags), but in keeping an open mind remembered there are different methods of cleaning and professionalism. During one appointment I asked if the dust-filled, handheld Swiffer duster in the cleaning caddy one of the employees had would be replaced with a clean one and was assured it would be. As someone with a high allergy to dust, I'd expect that my cleaning service wouldn't come INTO my home with dust or dirt. I don't enjoy finding issues at the conclusion of each service, hoping not to see an issue after the fact that I have to resolve after paying for said service, so I cancelled my future scheduled cleanings. Experiencing this twice was enough for me. read more

We used and booked this service for our move in to our new home. I can tell you the cleaning was not great and detail and the fact that we paid extra to have the Sanitizer spray done and you were suppose to notify my wife before spray because my six month old daughter was upstairs make me very angry. I opened kitchen drawers, the stove, corners of bathrooms and bathroom rail were not clean. We tried for weeks to contact someone about the poor cleaning and still no response. My first experience with this company was that they were mediocre but I was very wrong. This company will and does go above and beyond to meet your satisfaction. The two young ladies that came to clean, cleaned my new house better than I would have done my self. They stayed way longer than they were slotted for just to get the job done right and never not once made us feel pressured on whether they were done or not. They made the call on whether the job was done not by time but on how good of a job they did. The most they asked us was if it was ok to continue to clean. Friday afternoon I was thinking how much I really didn't feel like cleaning our home after a long week at work. So I went to Yelp and found Atlanta Green Maids. Low and behold, they had a spot open for me the very next day (I was skeptical thinking a good cleaning service would be booked out)! The team of 2 showed up right on time and were very friendly and personal, which made me feel comfortable to have them in our home. 2 hours later? I had no more dog hair and a clean and fresh smelling home! I am very sensitive to strong smells, and all the powerful cleaning agents they used were very mild (amen) and left the place 100% better than just two hours prior! Thanks for the great thorough job! After having Green Maids come many times now, I must provide my overall experience. The concensus is just average. I've had great teams come, and I've had bad ones come, which averages out to an okay service. This latest experience was definitely not great. My outlet in the upstairs hallway was completely broken like as if whoever was using MY vacuum yanked the cord from the wall (not safe) so now I have an exposed outlet, thanks. I didn't notice this until after they left in a hurry, no wonder. Also, I have no problem if they use my vacuum so they don't have to lug theirs upstairs, but common courtesy, leave it they way you found it and not with cord sloppily put away. In my kitchen, I noticed 1/2 of a brand new roll of paper towels were used- not happy about that. So, if all those towels were used, then why was the counter next to the stove still DIRTY. My black marble table in the kitchen was used with a product not meant for marble since it was left cloudy, so I had to clean it today. I also had to re-clean mirrors that were wiped down with dirty rags. Again, if all those paper towels were used, why are they dirty streak marks. (This also happen last time when I had the windows cleaned- they ended up looking dirtier than before due to a dirty rag being used). They also didn't have their own trash bags. Now, the few I had left are gone. So overall, Green Maids has average cleaning people since you may get a great team, or a bad one, or perhaps you may get one great person teamed with a bad one. I had a great experience with Atlanta Green Maids, but the communication could have been better. Pros: Sean was great. He was pleasant and did a really nice job cleaning everything. A++ Cons: I paid for 2 cleaners for 2 hours. I received 1 cleaner for 4 hours. Again, I liked Sean but the company should've told me of the change. I had plans to leave after 2 hours, but had to change them to stay at the house. Since this was my first time using this company; I wanted to be there while they cleaned in case any questions came about. I tried this service because a discount was provided for first time users, but I honestly thing their pricing is too high. I came in town earlier this month to assist a family member. The home front needed some TLC so I looked on Yelp to see who I can find near us and Atlanta Green Maids stood out. I promptly gave them a call and asked for their next available appointment. They gave me an appointment for 9am the next morning. Due to known traffic congestion, I had anticipated the crew to be a little late. Much to my surprise the crew of 3 arrived on time and was ready to get started. There was one mix up between my original request and what they had expected to do but one of the ladies made a call to the home office and had everything straightened out. They got started promptly and were fast and efficient. It took them about 3 hours to get everything worked out. Overall, I was pleased with the efficiency and quality of work that was done. We do plan to use the service again. ***Update on 12/12/2015*** We called Atlanta Green Maids to come in for a second cleaning. We were hoping for the same 3 ladies as before but a different 3 ladies arrived. They were equally nice & efficient. They did a good job and we are equally as pleased as we were after the first cleaning. I'm pretty sure my family member will continue to use their services after I'm long gone. read more

They didn't leave any area unclean and made sure I was satisfied. Great job team 5 I will be requesting them specifically in the future!! They conduct a walk through and make sure they know what you want and execute it perfectly. They also do an end walk through to make sure you are satisfied. Allegra and Kasherria (Team 16) were AMAZING! They were incredibly professional from the second they arrived to the time they left. I was already impressed when they managed to navigate my very confusing parking garage and check-in process with my front desk. They also got along wonderfully with my dog and sometimes finicky cat. Then, throughout the cleaning process, they made sure to check in with me frequently, making sure to keep me updated on their progress. They also have a checklist by which they work (you can find this on their website), which they pulled out at the end of the session and walked through the home with me, making sure that they had gotten to every aspect. I then signed it, saying that yes, I was satisfied with their work. To give you an idea of how good they were, I walked into the kitchen and actually gasped, because my kitchen had never been so shiny before. I should also point out that the booking process was very streamlined and easy. When I was calling around for quotes, they were informative, professional, and responsive. After booking, I received a confirmation email AND call, and when the team was on their way, they called to give me a 30 minute heads up. Then, when the team needed an extra hour (my place was a disaster), they called me to tell me exactly how much extra this would be, and if that was ok with me. I really appreciated this amount of effort into excellent customer service. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

After reading and hearing about such positive reviews of this company, I am very disappointed with them and would not plan on using or recommending again. The scheduling was great and they even called to review policies or any extra concerns. Once they arrived, I showed them the areas in which they could avoid, due to extra items being stored or not needing to be cleaned. That being said, a good portion of the condo was excluded and no furniture was in the home, leaving me to wonder why things went uncleaned. I was unable to be present upon their finishing time, however after checking later in the evening, a significant portion of the condo was not cleaned, all of which was included in their standard checklist. Again, no furniture in the house, so less items to clean and easier to sweep around. After I emailed stating these items were not cleaned, I had to schedule another cleaning. It's great that is free, but it is very inconvenient and I would have preferred a portion of my money back. Anyways, a third person was sent with my cleaning crew to verify what was to be cleaned. They offered a full re-cleaning, but I declined, as that would be a waste of time and energy. I again could not return upon them finishing my cleaning. In my opinion, this would be pointless anyways, as that it would take extra time in which was not allotted. - [ ] After the second cleaning, my microwave was yet again untouched. My laundry room was also untouched, per their "standard checklist" items. Additionally, the kitchen floor uncleaned (the house is unoccupied as is). Having no furniture to move or clean and requiring a second cleaning proved to show this company's cleaning policy is terrible! Having sent a third person, the second time to clarify what needs to be cleaned, and still not cleaning the normally cleaned items is a waste. I will not be using again, and highly encouraging others to seek house cleaning at another company. read more

Above Average Service! We were extremely pleased by Atlanta Green Maids service. For various reasons, we were out of town off and on for about 6 months. We made an appointment with Atlanta Green Maids (I saw so many good reviews on yelp so decided to try them out). They came on time and did a thorough job cleaning every nook and cranny of the house. They spent a good 6-7 hours cleaning the house. When they were done, you could see a huge difference. The bathrooms and kitchen were Mr. Clean style shiny! We definitely will repeat business with Atlanta Green Maids. Highly recommend to others. read more

Current Review: I had initially posted and left a negative review (below) because the cleaning ladies could not clean our floors -- the main reason we chose to get professional cleaners. Minutes after posting the review, I received a call from Carl who apologized and asked how he could make it right. I told him about the floors, and he told me he would call a wood floor professional to help us. Atlanta Wood Masters was at our door literally 20 minutes after I got off the phone with Carl, and they were very knowledgable and professional. It turns out it wasn't the cleaning ladies' fault, these floors are just near impossible to clean. (Pre-fab hand-scraped wood floors). All the same, Carl apologized that we had not been satisfied with the service and offered a full refund. I didn't think the service was so bad that it merited a full refund, so I asked for a partial refund, but Carl insisted. I am amazed at the company's commitment to customer satisfaction, if only other companies thought the same way! Thanks, AGM, for renewing my faith in service companies. We saw the good reviews on yelp and decided to go with them, our first time using a cleaning service. We have a new construction townhouse, and the main reason we wanted the service was to get our floors cleaned. There was a lot of dust still left by the builders on our new wood floors, and since the builders were giving us a hard time cleaning it, we went with the maid service. As soon as the cleaning ladies arrived, I got a bad feeling. One of the two ladies reeked of smoke. I'm not judging smokers, but if you have the smell of smoke wafting from you, I don't exactly get inspired by your passion for cleanliness. As the ladies started working, I noticed that they were not applying any "elbow grease" to their work, often going over areas yet leaving dirt & streaks there. It was as if their intention was to go through the motions, not actually to clean the home. This didn't bother me too much, as the house is new and there's not much to clean. The thing that bothered me the most was that they were unable to clean the floors. We pointed out that the main reason we had them over was to get the floors clean, yet they said their products were not able to do it. The smoke-scented lady kept reassuring me that they spent lots of time on the floors using the most expensive products, which I do not doubt, but the bottom line is the bottom line: they did not clean our house, yet they charged us full price.
