Really a 4.5. Awesome communication prior to the cleaning! Rosa answered all of my questions thoroughly and with much patience! She's great. The cleaner that came was very polite and worked really hard to sanitize and deep clean my tub/shower specifically (I moved in to a condo and wanted a deep cleaning of those two spots specifically because I had already cleaned everything prior to me moving in. She did a wonderful job but I did find a few spots in shower (the tracking and the top) that were missed. I cleaned them after no biggie. She cleaned the rest of the condo well as much as she could (I still have boxes and bins all over Lol) but took a little longer than I thought she would. Again, not a big deal. I suggested that she get a wagon or cart for next time because she was carrying all of her items and couldn't take out all of my trash. Their website is incredibly informative and user-friendly, and when I submitted a request for a quote (it was late one evening), I woke up to a personal and detailed email response addressing my specific questions. I was able to book a deep cleaning just a few days later, which was so exciting because I was ready to get my cleaning done once I had made up my mind! It was okay but I didn't feel like the level of cleaning was what I expected for a "deep" cleaning. I would think what was done would be part of a normal cleaning. When paying nearly $400 I think expectations are pretty high. As an example, the interior door frame in the kitchen had a lot of hand prints that were really obvious but not wiped off. I had a last minute request for help to clean my mother's home. I had to go out of town in 3 days. I sent requests to several agencies. Some didn't answer or priced it so high as if they never wanted my business. After receiving my request 'Maid to Glow' worked really hard to send someone. They moved furniture to thoroughly vacuum, they cleared space to dust and clean countertops, etc, They have skills to clean things such as my old stainless fridge without leaving prints. The service was requested after having a bad experience with Homeaglow. I was a bit more concerned with the quality of cleaning as I didn't get that with the last one. It surprised me to only have one cleaner for 5bd home with 7 rooms total but Tanaya was great. She was in her element and cleanecleaned rather quickly for one person doing a whole house. I initially went to Yelp and requested cleaning quotes from a number of local companies. The estimates ranged from $150. We decided to try Maid to Glow for a one-time cleaning because their pricing was more reasonable and they had some good reviews. Mony, the owner of the company, responded to my quote request quickly. I ended up going out to their website and booking a time slot between 12 and 2 pm on Friday. I received a confirmation telling me that my cleaner would be Shenise, and it also gave me her contact information. My wife was surprised that they were only sending one person to clean our house. When Friday came, nobody showed up at 12:00 pm. I waited until 1:42 pm, and then I received a phone call from Shenise. She hadn't called me earlier when she wasn't going to be able to arrive on time, but she did finally call me to tell me that she was running late and would arrive around 2:35 pm. She finally arrived at 2:45 pm. She brought a small wheeled cart with all of her cleaning supplies. I gave her a brief tour of the house and pointed out which bedrooms to clean. She then began cleaning. She was originally scheduled to work for 2 hours. She ended up spending over 2.5 hours cleaning our house. After she was finished, she asked me to walk through the house and check her work. She had done a good job. She vacuumed all of the carpets. She thoroughly cleaned all of the bathrooms and kitchen. We have pets, and she did a good job of cleaning the hard wood floors downstairs. So, while it was not a perfect process due to the late arrival and initial lack of communication, Shenise ultimately did a good job, and we would consider using Maid to Glow again in the future. read more

I booked Saturday 4/2, no call, no show but a message on Yelp. This one was a miscommunicationon my end so okay. Rebooked Tuesday 4/5 and had to skip class. No show, no call, no answer when I called, had to message them on yelp for them to tell me they had to cancel. Huge miscommunication on their end. Because of this inconvenience they rescheduled for Saturday 4/8. The day of, another no show, hours later I got an email, not even a text or call, saying they had to cancel again. I get that staffing is extremely complicated, however a call or text before the scheduled time could of gone a long way. Great value, but you are definitely getting what you pay for. read more

Disappointed. I hired Maid to Glow for a simple move-out clean for my 4 bedroom townhouse. When April arrived she was carrying a tiny battery powered vacuum. That's when we knew we probably wouldn't get a good clean. The cleaning was not thorough and I had to go through and clean many things myself afterwards - (notably the carpets which still had visibly noticeable mess left behind, as well as the toilets and stovetop). Shenise is awesome!!! She arrived within my time window and after a brief tour of my townhome, Shenise got right to work. Shenise is very professional and pleasant. If there was a concern about an area, Shenise made sure my expectations were meant. My entire house was cleaned within 2.5 hours! Shenise also used Febreeze in the bedrooms and everything smells fresh. I was working from home and I liked how Shenise texted versus calling. That was very considerate of her to do that since my job requires heavy phone calling and it's hard to get away. Blankets in my living room were neatly folded, items on tables and dressers were neatly arranged. Everything looks great and I'm very pleased with how Shenise was able to bring my home back to order. Absolute worse cleaning service I have ever encountered. The first day they were so late I rescheduled for the following day. Again 2 hours late. Thought things would go up from there, nope things got worse. They attempted to upcharge me $80 for mopping the floor. Yes, I guess mopping the floor is a premium service and not a standard house cleaning procedure. I had to have the cleaner redo numerous things. Our shower still looks dirty. I noticed the cleaner didn't have a toilet brush. I brought her one from another bathroom. She said I don't need it, I used one of your towels to clean the inside of this toilet. Yes, she stuck her hand in my toilet with my towel to clean it. She then proceeded to get mad when I made her change gloves before going to the kitchen. The cleaning you get from Maid to Glow varies widely based on who happens to show up and I've never had the same cleaner twice.

I have booked with Maid to Glow twice; the first time, I had wanted them to come from 8-10 AM prior to me going in for night shift, that way I could sleep from 10-3. Nobody showed up and I assumed something went wrong until around 4PM when I heard a knock at my door - someone frantically apologizing with a bunch of cleaning supplies. I was preparing to leave the house for work; since she was there, and my house was indeed very messy, I reluctantly left her with a spare key and told her to lock the door behind her and leave the key in a safe place. I got home the next morning to a decently cleaned house and was overall satisfied; I had naively assumed it was a one time freak occurrence. Now, this second time I've booked, I was sitting for 1.5 hours waiting for someone for 8-10 AM. Around 9:30 AM I got an email reminding of my cleaning the next day; I looked back at my confirmation email and confirmed that I did NOT book this date or time. Based on this, I can only assume they decided to change my appointment date without making sure I was available - or getting my consent - because I got no call or email about it. When I emailed them about it they emailed me back immediately after telling me that their employee had an emergency. While I understand this can happen, I do not understand how they can change my appointment time without knowing if I will be there or not; and the fact that they only notified me of this after I brought it up makes it seem disingenuous. They are the first company I've used for cleaning, but I will not be using them again. Both my experiences have directly demonstrated the fact that they lack professionalism and don't prioritize communication to their clientele. I'm a bit frustrated - I work a sporadic schedule so when I book it's usually the only time I am available. Their job was decent from what I can tell (have never had anyone else come out and clean) but they are not punctual or organized enough for me want to keep booking with them.
