Update: Exceptional Resolution and Outstanding Service from Singleton Marine I wanted to provide an update to my previous review about the Singleton Marine Lake Allatoona dealership. After facing some initial challenges with my Harris Tritoon / Pontton boat--which arrived with damages and a persistent electrical issues--I am thrilled to say that the problem has been fully resolved. GM Matt Seelbinder and Service Manager Justin went above and beyond to address the situation. They worked closely with the manufacturer to replace our boat with a brand new 2025 Solstice, free of any defects. We took delivery this past Friday and have been enjoying the boat all weekend. The initial issue turned out to be a rare manufacturing defect--a misplaced screw hitting a wire--which can be complex and hard to diagnose/resolve at a dealership. The boat had to go back to the manufacturing facility. Matt, Justin, and the entire team at Singleton Marine at Lake Allatoona demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism. Their commitment to making things right has earned my gratitude and business for life. I purchased a used Cobalt from Singleton Marine in Buford GA this past spring and had it shipped to Spokane WA. The boat arrived to me with damage on the outdrive that wasn't there when I inspected the boat and took a test drive. The transport company had photos of the damage before it left the Singleton lot. I had to take it to a local Cobalt dealer and have the outdrive replaced. Working with Casey Smith at Singleton, they did their due-diligence and determined that the damage happened to the boat while in their custody, after I had inspected it. Casey paid for the replacement of the outdrive and all is good! Accidents happen - it's all in how they are resolved. Singleton did an amazing job of taking ownership and paying for the damage. I spent over a week and a half trying to get information on multiple vessels. First, Do not waste your time online. They have a bot that will not give you information and will only request your number to give to a sales consultant. If you do not provide a number they will not contact you. I called directly and reached a sales consultant named Craig. Most of the boats that they have on their site were sold, but there was one that I asked for information on that was still in stock. He stated that he would reach out to the Atlanta store (actually stopped me from calling them directly) to get more information and he would call me back. Stated that he had to deliver a boat this afternoon, but he would get back to me no later than the next morning (Still haven't heard back from him). Then I got in contact with another Sales consultant named Ryan by email (BTW there is only two). Told him what boat I was trying to get information on and never received a response from him until I sent another reply 3 days later about now being ghosted by two of Singleton's Marine Sales consultant. Now the boat that I was looking at had a deposit and wasn't on the market anymore. Neither of the sales consultant showed any care about speaking to me about other boats. So I decided to call the Sales manager to at the very minimum let him know that his staff was not following up with leads and to give them one last chance to get my business. I actually got the General Manager, and he had the same attitude that his sales consultants had (taught by example is my guess). He was okay with his sales consultants not following through with the leads and actually stated that I should come in to get better treatment. My take away is that they have so much business that they do not care about their customer and if you do not live close enough to walk in their showroom then you are at the bottom of their list. read more

I have a brand new boat I purchased from Singleton. Unbelievable. Paid cash for it and they hounded me to get to the dealership to test drive & PAY the balance for the boat. During the test drive on the lake there was a vibrating pulse problem in the engine every few seconds. This was in March. They delivered the new boat to our dock after multiple attempts to even get it scheduled because "their detail crew needed time" and the extras we purchased had to be installed. They delivered the boat Friday of Memorial Day and it had not been cleaned, detailed from being on the lot, NONE of the extras had been installed AND the engine was not even looked at! I can't get a manager nor the owner to even come to the phone, the sales guys are of no use, and the kid answering the phone could give a rip! The manager wasn't in his office, don't have the owners contact info! So, what should one do? I'm ready to blow this crap up on radio, TV, google and all social media. These guys are similar to the experience I get at the Lexus dealer. I purchased my boat new from them in 2017 and had a great experience. They took my family out in 3 boats while we figured out which one we wanted. Once I decided on one it was a smooth transaction and very professional delivery to my dock and walk through. Since the 2 years I purchased the boat, I've had a couple of issues and every time they took care of me and did a fantastic job. I usually talk with Justin and Jeff. Their service tech Jeff comes out to my dock to do any service work and I can always count on him to take care of any issue or simple maintenance. This place is HORRIBLE!!! How are they even in business?!? Absolutely zero of the 10 or more employees even greet you. We were prepared to purchase a very very nice boat today! Buyer beware. We purchased a boat last July. They told us that they were going to replace the ripped upholstery with Mastercraft slip covers. They recommended that we put it in the shop in the fall so we didn't lose time using summer. We took it in in October. Long story short we finally got the boat back in April. Not only was the boat full of leaves and pollen...they had an upholstery shop sew smooth, not textured vinyl to repair. It looks like an amateur repair. Now, they will not answer our calls or emails. unless you are taking a boat as is...do not deal with them. If you do, have it in writing and very specific. I hate to say bad things, but at least our sales person as well as their GM are less than honest. read more

Instead of ending up frustrated, though, Singleton came up creative solutions, stood behind the products they sell, and provided me with above and beyond customer service. As a novice in the boating world I was more than a little nervous buying my first boat. I shopped around but settled on Singleton for many reasons. Shelly L took her time answering all my questions as trivial as some were. She was respectful, knowledgeable, professional and approachable. Even after purchasing my boat she bent over backwards answering questions helping me navigate in the boating world. When I wanted a few extra features she arranged the service and transportation. Worst buying experience I have ever been thur, bought a boat from them was lied to multiply times by the salesperson but still bought the boat. I put 3 hours on the engine and the clutch was done, after going back and fourth they finally agreed to just charge me 3,000 I payed. Used the boat twice and the transmission fluid leaked all over the boat due to a rear main seal. Talked to the GM he said if i decided to trade will give me what i paid for the bought well now i get a Out the door numbers from a salesperson and they offered to 10k less. Bad service...bad customer communication...Jared is the service manager talks the typical tell you what you want to hear type bs...these guys over bill...take too long to do anything...and have every excuse in the book....and will be quick to argue with you...i bought my Regal 2800 from them new...and the service side of this place...is why we will be looking elsewhere in the future read more

Not very good at honoring warranties. I had to pay to get basic warranty work completed plus a fee to haul out my boat from their dock for simple engine work, unbelievable. They wouldn't fix the gauges that fog up because the gauges "could unfog on their own" so they are not covered. Very good at selling warranties, very bad at honoring them. read more

We purchased a boat from Singleton Marine and when we had service issue they were not very helpful. I realizes that the times are difficult with the pandemic we all face. But do not understand the lack of respect they give their customers. I read all the reviews on yelp and there are some pretty negative reviews. I can understand why they do not return your calls. They seem very aloof when you go to the service desk and have more excuses for how they respond and why they do not return your calls. I see the best review was concerning the owners response to a customer. This was back in 2011. Austin Singleton the owner was the person who did a good job. Maybe he needs to look at who is training his employees because they do not have the same attitude he had when dealing with customers. When things as they are now I would think the companies with better customer service will be around much longer than one that do not respond to their customers needs. read more

We had the most awesome experience buying our Barletta tritoon at Single Marine in Buford, GA. Captain Devin was very knowledge of all the different models of tritoons and took a lot of time guiding us through each boat. Once we decided on a "the boat" Captain Devin took us out on Lake Lanier for a test drive. Then he helped up find the specific model, color and configuration by searching their expansive inventory across all their locations. Our boat was on the lot in just a few days! Our circumstances were where we could not do the sales transaction until we closed on our Lake Burton house. Singleton Marine & Captain Devin was so patience with us and held our dream boat for us until we closed although 5 other people tried to buy it. I highly recommend Single Marine and you must ask for Captain Devin! We love our Barletta tritoon! FYI, the President of Barletta sent us awesome gifts for Christmas! read more

Singleton Marine Group provided excellent customer service and work on our boat. We had a problem with our boat and Austin (the owner) talked with me personally several times, was always available to take my calls, returned calls, and did what he said he would do. Because we bought our boat from a previous company located in the same building, Singleton Marine was not really responsible for our problems but provided work on the boat (including transportation to and from our marina) and went above and beyond to get our boat fixed. They were able to get warranty coverage through the other company to get the repairs done. I've never experienced service like they provided. It is a family owned business that really is dedicated to customer service just like their website says. Because of this commitment and our own personal experience with them, we will certainly give our business to Singleton Marine in the future. read more
