I have a 15 year old rat terrier who has chronic ear infections. Most of her life she's been at another vet. Late on a Friday night my dog started experiencing severe symptoms of shaking head, eyes twitching vomiting. I called Atlantic and Dr Bierbaum met me at the office after hours to treat my pup. He diagnosed quickly and she was home resting comfortably within an hr. Very knowledgeable and got my girl feeling much better. She now is a regular patient of Atlantic Animal Clinic. Staff is awesome and very caring.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These people hacked my dog up. They admitted negligence and claim to refund my for their surgery. Had to rush my dog to surgery and am left with a hefty bill that they won't cover. Please don't leave your furry children with these amateurs

The doctor and the staff are excellent at this clinic. French Bulldog Archie doesn't even mind going to the vet if he's going there

My dog, who is a Service Dog has been a patient of Savanna Animal Hospital in Jensen Beach for…read moreabout 12 years. In the beginning years I found this veterinary service excellent but as time went on my opinion changed. Recently these are a few of the issues I have had. A few months back my dog had an appointment for a health certificate to travel abroad. The vet who took care of us found that the dog had an ear infection. Medication was prescribed but a culture was not taken to find out exactly what antibiotic should be used. Following application of this prescribed drug my dog went deaf within 3 days. Come to find out this is a possible side effect of this medication of which we were never informed. Upon returning to the vet to be seen because of this complication the vet was uncaring and dismissive. When I stated my dog needs to hear my commands the response was "oh well, you can teach him hand signals". Upon notifying Dr Reis about this she started to treat my dog, at her expense, with acupuncture. Fortunately this has helped to a degree. Another issue is the constant wait time for a scheduled appointment. Every time I have brought my dog in there is always a long wait. I had a scheduled 10:35 appointment this week which I arrived on time for but was left sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes, then taken into the examination room and waited another 30 minutes. At no point did any staff member even acknowledge that I was there. After this hour wait I decided to leave. Stopped at the receptionist desk and told them I was leaving. No explanation was given to me. I found this to be unacceptable because it wasn't the first time this has happened. Today I requested all my dog's records and started with a new veterinary service.

The vet promised to call results within 20 minutes when that didn't happen. I called at the end of…read morethe day and they told me they would call me in another hour before they leave. They never did. I then called the next morning. They said they needed to go through their morning rounds and they would call me after that; they never did. I called in the afternoon and I was placed on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever apologized for the wait or the length of time it took to call but they asked me to come in the next morning based on the analysis reports and that they would like to see her first thing in the morning. . So first thing in the morning we go there and we are waiting now 50 minutes and then told very rudely that if we didn't like the wait then our records could be sent somewhere else. No one ever asked how my dog was doing. No one wanted to hear how many times it took to get someone to pay attention to my dogs urine analysis results indicating a kidney infection. Super bad care never on time takes them 20 minutes to check you out and they are very disrespectful and rude. Justified I was upset when being dismissed and and spoken to rudely. Do not go here if you actually want to be respected and seen in a timely manner.

I called and the receptionist was very nice and helpful. She set my two dog's profiles in ten minutes and I told her who my old vet was so she can get the records. She then told me to keep watch for an email to setup my profile online and once that's all done I'll be able to set up an appointment. The email came through in a couple minutes and after my initial call and I received a call 30 min later asking if I wanted to set up an appointment since she already got my pets records! I was surprised how smooth and fast it was. The visit was a very pleasant once. Got there and checked in. There was one person in the waiting room and only one in a private room. I was called in on time and the vet tech and the vet were exactly what I was looking for in a good vet. They listened to us, asked relevant questions and we were happy with the plan of attack for some minor issues. We even had a question for our one pup who has a very sensitive stomach and harsh allergies to see if putting him on a certain probiotic would be safe for him. The vet called the manufacturer representative to find all the information needed to ensure my pup was taken care of! Now I'm sorry other people had a bad time but to be realistic losing a pet is losing a family member and it is extremely difficult. Even in simple surgeries there is a chance for the worst to happen and these workers didn't choose this profession because they hate animals. Also everyone is human and have bad days so is someone was short with you or whatever just think that they might have just put an animal down which must be hard no matter how many times you see it. Anyways I hope everyone's pets are as healthy as ever and stay like that!

Two weeks ago, my dog went in for a dental and died at Jensen Beach Animal Hospital…read more My sweet 4 1/2-year-old pup, Sumac, died from an apparent bad reaction to pre-anesthetic meds given to him by a vet tech. All he needed was a dental! but instead, I had to pick up my beloved dog's corpse later that day. That day, Sumac, a very small Peruvian Hairless dog, underwent a successful physical exam and appeared to be in perfect health. Then, a vet tech administered an opioid intravenously to prepare him for anesthesia. After being left in the kennel, when they checked on him next, he was already in a dire condition, leading to the initiation of CPR. Then there are conflicting accounts: The vet tech tells me she gave Sumac the opiods outside his kennel and then returned him to the kennel, but the doctor says nope, he was given the shots inside the kennel and stayed there all along. What's the real story? Why the discrepancy ? Was anyone even keeping an eye on how my dog reacted to the drugs from the get-go? The medical records are vague on that matter. By the time they figured something was off, he was already in a bad way. Apparently CPR was initiated while Sumac still had a heartbeat.... The doctor then, chose to prioritize calling me to let me know that my dog was in bad shape, instead of staying with her patient throughout the emergency! She left him in the emergency room alone with the vet techs doing CPR on him, only to return to him not having a heartbeat anymore! Despite the known risks associated with anesthesia, the clinic failed to offer me a pre-surgical examination close enough to his procedure date. When I sought further clarity on anesthesia and CPR protocols as well as staff qualifications, the practice's manager flatly denied my requests, dismissing my rights as a consumer. And to top it off, they're still sending me reminders for Sumac's appointments and deals, as if he's still alive. Talk about adding insult to injury. It just shows a real lack of care. All this has made me want to warn other pet owners: THINK TWICE before taking your pets to Jensen Beach Animal Hospital. Specifically if it involves Anesthesia Procedures.

This animal hospital has potentially saved my cat's life…read more My 10 year old cat, Jitters, had been having difficulty walking around the house. I took her to a vet in Fort Pierce, who told me that the cause of her obvious discomfort was litter stuck in her paw pads. I accepted this answer and moved on. A week or so later, I notice her walking difficulty return. I check her paws and remove any litter I find. Yet despite this, it doesn't seem to improve. I become more anxious and begin to monitor her even more closely than before. Then it happens: one morning, she becomes ill. Vomiting and pooping on the carpets, with seemingly no possible cause. Panicked, I called Morningside Animal Hospital and explained my emergency. They told me to come in immediately, which I did. Upon arrival I was greeted by kind staff, and without much of a wait, I was taken into an examination room with my cat. The woman who examined Jitters to start was very kind, though I can't quite recall her name. I believe it was Nuvia/Juvia, or something along those lines. (If she reads this, I apologize for my terrible memory with names!) After the initial examination, Dr. Sean Giusti came in to see my cat. He was extremely kind. Without any tests at all, he claimed that my cat may have diabetes, which was a shock to hear considering the prior diagnosis I had been given at the other vet! (Which, might I add, I will NEVER go near again.) Dr. Giusti had tests run on Jitters, and sure enough, she was diabetic. We immediately began the proper treatment regime and started to aim for a hopeful future for my little fur child. She's doing much better now, and if we're lucky and it's in God's greater plan, she just might reach remission! Though I'm not yet sure what the outcome of this will be, I can confidently say that Dr. Giusti and the staff at Morningside have given me the brightest glimmer of hope for the life of my cat. Without these incredible people, who knows what would have happened to Jitters. Pebbles in her paw pads? Not quite. I highly recommend this incredible establishment to anyone with a furry family member. These people genuinely care for the animals they see, and the people who bring them in. I have complete faith in their practices and I'm looking forward to continuing on my journey with them to help Jitters return to full health so she can live out the rest of her life as a happy kitten at heart. And before I forget to mention, they've also treated my newest family member, a 12 week old kitten by the name of Ezio. Not only did they bring peace to my mind with their examination, they also caught his fleas before they could progress and worsen. I know that in their hands, my new little guy will grow up to be happy and healthy. This animal hospital truly is a blessing.

A Disappointing End to Seven Years of Loyalty …read moreIt pains me to write this review because I have been a loyal client of Morningside Animal Hospital for seven years, ever since my dogs were six weeks old. Over the years, I have referred many people here, but after the experiences I've had recently, I will never return, nor will I ever recommend them again. To be clear: my issue is not the cost. I have never expected this hospital to be "cheap" or "affordable." If I wanted budget care, I wouldn't have stayed here for nearly a decade with two dogs meaning double the bills. I am perfectly willing to pay for quality, but the level of service has undergone a drastic decline over the last two years. From the moment you call to the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is cold and unprofessional. Aside from Sam who was the only person to ever truly greet, hug, or show genuine affection to my dogs the staff acts as if they hate their jobs. A Pattern of Misdiagnosis and Lack of Oversight Two years ago, I was told my dog, Cammie, needed immediate ACL surgery. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Hansen in Stuart, who properly diagnosed her and provided impeccable care. I should have done that again this time but I was undergoing surgery myself so time was of essence. The most recent failures, however, are unforgivable: * October 2025 (Annual Exam): Both of my dogs were given a "clean bill of health." Doctors noted small growths but said they weren't an issue. * Inconsistent Pricing: During that same week, I was quoted two completely different prices for the same mass removal procedure by two different doctors. When I asked Nicole (billing manager) for clarification, she couldn't explain why the pricing was inconsistent, treating the hospital more like a "swap shop" than a medical facility. * March 2026 (The Breaking Point): I brought my dog back for a recheck on the growth. Suddenly, I'm told it is a Mast Cell Tumor requiring immediate surgery. This raises a terrifying question: If I hadn't followed my gut and brought her back, would she have died? What is the purpose of an annual exam if a tumor is missed or downplayed? Surgery Day Negligence On the day of the surgery, I was told to drop my dog off at 8:00 AM. My dog sat in a cage without food or water for seven hours, only to start surgery at 3:00 PM. I was told a "teeth cleaning" for another dog was prioritized over a tumor removal. Furthermore, during the procedure, the doctor called to say they found a second mast cell tumor and stated it would be removed at no additional cost. Yet, when I received the bill, the price had doubled & I was absolutely charged for it despite Dr Lindahl verbal promise. Mind you these incisions look like a 3rd grader did it in a back alley! The lack of communication and clinical thoroughness is sickening. People come here with their beloved family members in emergency situations, only to be met with miserable attitudes and inconsistent medical advice. Dr. Gimbal's only concern seems to be justifying price increases rather than addressing the plummeting quality of his service. His exact words "you should be happy with the price" Maybe instead of opening more offices you get some training on customer service and ethics. Instead of justifying your prices perhaps increase the quality of care you provide so that your prices are justified! I am taking my business elsewhere. If you value your pet's health and your own peace of mind, I suggest you do the same. I highly suggest Dr Hanson in Stuart not only is his bedside manner impeccable but his staff truly cares!
