I cannot remember the last time anything like that happened at doctor's office. They were on time!!! After getting my CT scan from the friendliest and most charming technician I have ever encountered, I barely had time for a brief restroom visit before I went in for the allergy test. The allergy test is hardly what I would call enjoyable, as you're stuck 120 times with 120 needles -- it's a lot of waiting and a lot of pinching -- but the woman who conducted the procedure was warm and professional and impressively quick. So, why the 4-star review? The bathroom. It's FRIGHTENING. Like, dingy, smelly, dirty, spider-in-the-corner-staring-at-me-while-I-pee yucky and highly, highly outdated. Pee before you go, people. Other than a scary bathroom, I have nothing but glowing things to say about this place.

There was no urgency at all despite the real possibility that she has permanent 100% hearing loss. The condition requires quick treatment which is the greatest indicator for positive outcome. Wasted weeks instead of starting on treatment immediately. Then the front desk staff was not scheduling appointments according to the strict protocol that the Dr laid out, and they made appts that we already knew would be impossible to keep due to availability of the Rx from the compounding pharmacy. They said make the appt anyway, then we had to cancel and they have not called back to reschedule. Meanwhile her condition becomes more severe. Horrible awful quality of care, completely useless. Only go here if you want your condition to worsen or you have no other option.

First of all, there's free parking in a fenced and secure lot right next to the entrance. I asked the main lobby person for the office and he pointed me in the right direction (suite 215). I only waited like 5 min and I was greeted by my Audiologist (L Gafen) and she was very patient and explained everything very carefully and thoroughly. I was very happy with this experience. I also needed a work note for accommodations she wrote it within 30 minutes when I told her it literally wasn't a rush- and it was such a well written letter. I love this practice so much!

It was requested that I not take any calcium for a few days leading up to the test and to wear clothing without metal. I also needed to bring a referral. No scans without a referral. The building has it's own private parking lot, which is excellent as parking around the hospital is dear. The office is down one level, first door on the right. An elevator is available if needed. I checked-in and had a seat in the large waiting area. The building has no public restrooms, but a private one is available behind the clinic door if needed. Before my test I was weighed and measured. Stand up tall! The patient lays on their back, on a hard table. The radiologst goes into the next room to run the scan. The table can be moved remotely to get the correct body position. After one round of images, my feet were strapped to a small plastic form to keep my toes turned in and another round of films taken. After that, images of my wrist were taken. And that's it. No disrobing needed as I wore no metal. Reports are accessed through their online patient portal. The total appointment took about 30 minutes from check-in to driving away. DexA Scans are not covered by hospital financial aid.
