My mom was in need of hearing aids, and Gateway came highly recommended. From the first visit, I…read moreunderstood why. Dr. Holly Pulio is a Rockstar. She is super informed, extremely polite and customer oriented, the office is very well equipped, and the location is great; central in RI. Covid interrupted our process from testing, to fitting for new aids, and in the meantime my mom suffered some catastrophic loss in one ear. After Dr. Pulio made an MRI referral, we figured out the problem, and Dr. Pulio figured out the solution. She recommended a hearing aid in one ear, and transmitter in the "deaf" ear, so when a person is speaking on that side, it transmits it to the other ear, so as not to startle her. Its fantastic and works great. We travel a lot, so Doc showed us options for portable earbud charging & storage device, so she will never be without hearing on the road. Again, very thorough and very professional. We also found her pricing to be very competitive and under most others, and loaded with included services, warranties and free follow-up meetings. Highly recommend Dr. Holly Pulio at Gateway Hearing! World class! Top Notch!

She's awesome and so down to earth and personable. Unfortunately she retired 1-2 years ago. I've been in for repairs twice since I'm under warranty. The first time was fine. The second time was absolutely ridiculous and a waste of 3 1/2 days at work due to Isabella's inability to fix the hearing aid the first time. One just stopped working 20 mins after leaving. I call and get the machine as always, head over and they're closed. 4pm?! So I call the next day and lose another 1/2 day at work to bring them back and Isabella tells me there's something wrong with it. That's why I'm here!!!! So she sends them out again. About 10 days later I take yet another half day and go back for them. Finally they're working. She adjusts them and they're way too loud 1/2 hour later they're okay but I'm not really happy with them. I now have to adjust the volume daily from my phone. When I left the last time I was given my medical records so basically I felt like it was "don't come back" Things were much, much better when Laurie was the owner. Can't recommend this place. I wish I could

I arrived a…read morefew minutes before my appointment to a room full of other patients, and barely sat down before my name was called. I cannot remember the last time anything like that happened at doctor's office. They were on time!!! After getting my CT scan from the friendliest and most charming technician I have ever encountered, I barely had time for a brief restroom visit before I went in for the allergy test. The allergy test is hardly what I would call enjoyable, as you're stuck 120 times with 120 needles -- it's a lot of waiting and a lot of pinching -- but the woman who conducted the procedure was warm and professional and impressively quick. So, why the 4-star review? The bathroom. It's FRIGHTENING. Like, dingy, smelly, dirty, spider-in-the-corner-staring-at-me-while-I-pee yucky and highly, highly outdated. Pee before you go, people. Other than a scary bathroom, I have nothing but glowing things to say about this place.

There was no urgency at all despite the real possibility that she has permanent 100% hearing loss. The condition requires quick treatment which is the greatest indicator for positive outcome. Wasted weeks instead of starting on treatment immediately. Then the front desk staff was not scheduling appointments according to the strict protocol that the Dr laid out, and they made appts that we already knew would be impossible to keep due to availability of the Rx from the compounding pharmacy. They said make the appt anyway, then we had to cancel and they have not called back to reschedule. Meanwhile her condition becomes more severe. Horrible awful quality of care, completely useless. Only go here if you want your condition to worsen or you have no other option.
