I went to ACPM the first time for chronic pain and inflammation in my left knee that made every step painful, which had gradually worsened over three years. I had a thorough physical exam with x-rays and a full evaluation of my legs, hips, and spine. They explained that my knee pain should not be treated in isolation, that the health of the knee is closely related to the alignment of the feet, hips and spine. It turns out my spine has two minor twists, my hips are misaligned, and my legs are of different lengths. All of these things contributed to this wear-and-tear damage in my knee. After three months of foot, knee, leg and back rehab therapy three times a week, including a wide range of exercise, stretching, chiropractic adjustment and injections, I could walk again without pain. I was so pleased with the improvement in my knee that I went back to ACPM when I injured my shoulder while moving furniture. I had two tears in the rotator cuff and a cyst on the bursa, a more serious situation than my knee had been. I was immediately put on full shoulder rest for two weeks. Then I did six weeks of very careful shoulder rehab exercises under close supervision. After six months, my shoulder is completely healed. I am very happy with all of the treatment methods used at ACPM and the professionalism of the staff and doctors. My results speak for themselves! But you must go in there prepared to work and to make lifestyle adjustments to ensure success. Posture, exercise habits, and the type of work you do all play a part. As great as the therapists are, they can't do the work for you, and they can't nag you when you lapse back into bad habits. FRAUD-SCAM! I was interested in seeing what areas my body were deficient as far as vitamins and supplements go so I stopped in here to inquire about their services. They told me that they did provide this service so I made an appointment. During my initial "consultation", as they call it, the physician asked me to stand on a machine that could tell what part of your foot most of your weight was being put on and began asking me a series of questions regarding pain, broken bones, surgeries, etc. I quickly realized that there had been a miscommunication as I was not interested in this area of the services. I explained why I had initially come and he said that they did in fact provide those services but I had to complete a series of x-rays, exams, etc to get to that part of the treatment. I am not sure how broken bones and past surgeries relate to hormone replacement? He said he was sorry for the miscommunication and I left - total time with casual conversation maybe 10 minutes. I just received a bill from my insurance company that they charges me $212 for that visit. I called to explain and Wendy stated that they," had to bill insurance for services provided as they were a medical practice." She did not apologize or offer to adjust my bill as there was no consultation or test(although they do say standing on foot machine costs $70.00 on my bill) After looking at other reviews I understand why they are being investigated for insurance fraud as this place is a SCAM! read more

My opinion" AGGRESSIVE OVER CHARGING! The 12 week program didn't work for me. My back issues got worse and only after the 12 weeks were up is when they recommended that I get an MRI. My issue was not that my treatments didn't work or what my out of pocket costs were. The shots for my back pain were not effective and was still recommended as well with an $11,500.(no cost mentioned) battery ear piece that you kept in for a week or so and then discarded. And then after I said it didn't work it was suggested that I try again (another $11,600.) Again not knowing what the my insurance was being billed for which was over $23,000 for both "and they paid them" $13,000. A formal complaint has been made and the costs to the insurance company is going to be challenged! It's important knowing what your "out of pocket" costs are, and also what the costs are being billed to your insurance company for each procedure. Maybe if we get more involved with some of these outrageous costs, it will help bring down the cost of healthcare read more

I have been going to Atlantic Coast Physical Medicine for a few weeks. This is like the "one-stop-shopping" in health care. There are physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapist, x-ray tech, and a nurse practitioner to assist with your care on every visit. The staff is both professional and personable. Each of them listen to your concerns about your well-being and adjust your treatment plan as needed. I have gotten so much relief from my sciatic pain!! I can now walk for up to 30 minutes; compared to when I started I could only walk for 3-4 minutes! read more

These previous negative reviews certainly do not match the care I have experienced at Atlantic Coast Physical Medicene. The adjustments I received combined with injections for my hip inflammation has allowed me to function again. The staff is polite, helpful and courteous. This includes the staff chiropractors and nurse practitioner who have facilitated my care. My husband also received excellent care for his lower back pain. You get what you pay for. I don't mind paying for co-pays when I receive the help I need. You have to take care of your health. read more

I've been a patient for 3 years now. I used to get migraines 2-3 times a week. I have had 1 migraine in the past 2 1/2 years and very seldom do I get headaches. In addition to that, I also have severe IBS. The care at this office has helped keep that in control.
