This is for the Woonsocket office!! I was severely disappointed with my experience. I have vision insurance thru my job. I don't live in Woonsocket but wanted to support a smaller business vs a large chain. Called ahead & spoke to front desk agent 1, she confirmed they take my eye insurance which is a common one. Walk in day of exam, get my exam done, I was then told by front desk agent 2 (I believe it was a blonde woman) I don't have eye insurance and only my exam is free but the glasses/lens aren't covered by any insurance. I know for a fact I have coverage and tell her I called to confirm I did and was told so by front desk agent 1 and it was taken by this eye office. I was disregarded by front desk agent 2 and told to call HR at my job about it. I wasn't going to stay and debate as she was unfriendly. Contacted my HR office and they confirmed I had said eye provider. I call the eye office back and reached front desk agent 1 who confirmed (again!) I had said eye insurance which I said I know I did all along. Because of this incompetent experience from front desk agent 2 I just had them send my eye prescription over to an outside big chain eye office instead because this office wasted my time calling around and driving to another town. I go to the big chain eye office, pick out my glasses no problem. Get the glasses and the prescriptions felt so off, he tells me wear them for a few weeks to get used to them and if it still feels off call the small eye chain (Atlantic family) and ask for a re-exam. I wear them for Over a month hoping to get used to them. They don't feel right. I feel cross eyed wearing them, can't gauge distance when I walk and the floor feels elevated. I go back to Atlantic family, they test my glasses and said my prescriptions match what was on file from exam at their office. I ask if maybe the exam needs to be redone ? She says if I wanted to "entertain" that idea I could get re-examed. I didn't like the wording and treatment assuming I was being a difficult customer (why would I lie about the prescriptions being off?) all I wanted was to see correctly while driving and living life lol. Disappointed again at this place. I just wait until 2025 comes around instead to get exam at a different big chain instead of Atlantic family. I Won't come back. My eye exam was a bit weird too. She barely had me view the board to call off what I saw. Just 2 lines of it. The exam would be more in depth as I had sat in with my child's exam and it seemed more thorough. Fast forward a few months later it's now 2025: I get a new eye exam from a big eye chain and they tell me old prescription from only a few months ago at Atlantic family was completely off. I had astigmatism in BOTH eyes not just ONE and the vision in my left eye was completely different than what Atlantic family prescribed. Don't let Atlantic family eye gaslight you into believing the exam they do is correct. read more

Horrible treatment and blonde office manager does not know her job! Long standing patient of Dr. Kiley - love him just don't think he understands how inept his frontline staff truly is. Purchased 2' pair of glasses and went back a month later because of issue/repair. The original optical clerk was at lunch and the newer blonde manager was available. She went to grab my chart and looks at me and states "I'm sorry we can't help you with that". Apparently the documentation/records did not state both pairs were purchased with same coverage. Mistake by another coworker- I showed her receipts and she was adamant that it wasn't what Kat put in the files". These are paper files mind you ...I explained in detail what happened and why the files are incorrect. So I called my insurance company and they also confirmed that since it was within a brief period they should have been able to fix/repair. But the Office Manager kept repeating herself and not understanding that it was her staff that made the mistake. Unbelievable to go round and round with someone that spoke to a patient in such a derogatory manner. Shame on you AFE for allowing your staff to treat patients that way! read more

Dr Freitas and his Team in Warwick have essentially saved my wife's eyesight. Even with a low end healthcare provider like Tufts, Dr. Freitas has been able to treat my wife's returning shingles of the eye as we endless await for Tufts to get on the ball with the long term likely cure. I got my first pair of prescription eye glasses at Atlantic and was very pleased with the assistance, advice and selection they offer. They know who the customer is. read more

Poor customer service! My glasses were ready to be picked up. I had called earlier to verify their store hours and made sure they were aware I was planning to pick up. I got to the site 15 minutes before closing and they were closed. Upset they lied about closing time. It's unfortunate this will be last time I do business since my family been going there for previous glasses. read more

Too many people working in the front desk, but very slow service. Employees alone fill up the whole office during our first visit and they are all fidgety about having too many people in the office! They look at you with disgust and talks down at you. They cram you in for an appointment, and let you wait for hours. Employees are hostile and very unfriendly. While waiting to see an optician, one employee yelled and asked why we are still sitting around! They also give different quotes and overcharge you on the bill. When the glasses are ready, they call you and say no appointment needed come anytime, but when you go in to pick them up, they yell at you for not calling upon arrival to let them know you are about to enter, although there were no specific instructions asking you to do this. At that moment, I was even the only customer in the office so I don't know what they were fearful of! I would stay away from this place. Employees are full of arrogance and condescension and lack customer service training. They try to make you feel unwelcome. If I could give them a zero rating I would. Customer service is terrible. I will never step foot in this place again. I ordered a pair of Ray Bans, and once they finally came in I went to pick them up. The women had me try them on, and soon as I put them on my face I felt sick. (I have been wearing glasses my whole life so I know what a new pair of glasses should feel like- I know they take time) These were TERRIBLE. I told her, "I feel sick and I don't think these are correct" She said, Oh yeah it takes time to get used to. I said, Well I don't feel comfortable paying for these and leaving because once I do I know you wont take them back. She said "No, try them, and if there is anything wrong we will fix it" I reluctantly said OK. Sure enough, a week went by and I couldn't wear them...I thought I was going to puke every time I put them on.BECAUSE THEY DONT LISTEN TO YOU! I called, and spoke to a women on the phone who WAS THE RUDEST. I explained my whole story, and said I want new lenses something is not right. She basically in a condescending way short of laughing at me said "No" but I will have Rodger call you back... Now Rodger (I believe this is him name) takes the cake for out of this world rudeness! He couldn't have been more of a jerk on the phone, I almost felt like hanging up. I explained everything to him...he said "Sweety there is nothing we can do" Sweety? Really? That's professional....Then he went on to explain that "He knows that I don't understand how these things work (Getting use to glasses) but he does...Screw You! It went on, and on..until I asked for him to have the doctor call me... He said and I quote "yea sure, I'll have him call you" left him my name and number... Guess what? NEVER CALLED ME. I called back 2 Days later and asked for the doctor to call me...they reassured me and promised he would...Guess what? NEVER CALLED. I am assuming that they never gave the doctor the message, because if the doctor knew what theses jokers were doing to his business he wouldn't be happy. Unless the doctor is just as bad as them and wont return my call? Not sure, but either way.... I am left with a useless pair of expensive Ray Bans and the worlds worst experience from an eye doctors office....I would not send my worst enemy here... I went to Atlantic Family for a couple years. During my last exam, it was advised that a new pair of lenses would help me see better at work. The glasses that I had been using for the previous three years were made at the optical shop at Ann and Hope in Cumberland. They had worked very well but my eyesight had changed a bit. I paid $200 for new lenses; just lenses, I used my old frames to keep costs down. After a week I went to pick up my new glasses. I told the optician, Roger that I could not see with them and he told me to try them for a week. So for a week I was unable to see anything when I had the glasses on. I went back a week later and one of the women that work there realized that one of my frames was out of anglation (sp)which she fixed. I would like to know why Roger wouldn't even consider checking them when I told him that I couldn't see. I could see a tiny bit better and tried them for a while. After going back for a third time and still not being able to see very well with them, I saw the doctor. He suggested that I spend another hundred dollars to get a better lens. So after spending $300 just for lenses I am still not able to see with them and have given up hope. I will try to pop my old lenses into my frames just so I can see at work. The women and doctors that work there are fabulous but Roger and Brian are pretty worthless. Roger comes into the room and doesn't even greet you or make eye contact.He tries to make you feel like you are wasting his time. Everytime I try to use my FSA card here they cannot use it as a debit card and it takes more work on my part to pay my bill. I've never encountered problems with using my FSA as a debit anywhere else. Brian, the office manager, has never heard of using a FSA as a debit. ? Are you kidding me? As I said, the doctors are fine as well as the women that work there but the rest of the crew just ruins it. I've seen it happen before at other doctors offices; the doctors really need to pay attention to who they hire. read more

This small office building is easy to miss from the street, but once you step inside it is a very attractive, modern office. Dr. Patricio is the best optometrist I've ever had. She was so kind and professional, taking the time to explain procedures and reassure me of any of my concerns. They also have the latest digital equipment here, so you get a very thorough eye exam. We love Dr. Kiley and his staff! The whole family goes to Atlantic Family Eye Care. I've been dealing with contact issues and Dr. Kiley has patiently helped me out time after time and is always willing to get me in quickly. Tara is also amazing, she always recognizes us right when we walk in or call, and they make the whole process easy. I've even discovered my new, non-prescription sunglasses were stepped on, and I took them in to be adjusted--which they did within 5 minutes and were back to new. I have been a patient about 5 years and have been pleased with my eye exam but have bought my glasses at Sears. My recent eye exam Dr Kiley asked me where I had my glasses done and said they could match the deal at sears for my progressive lenses. I had them make my glasses and they are not even close to the glasses I buy at Sears. For $59 more they are the heavy lenses and have to sit very low on my nose to be able to see out of them. When I told them I have always had lightweight lenses they said they felt they gave me a decent pair of glasses for 259.00. I will definitely return to Sears for my glasses....they are much better quality glasses. read more

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have been a patient here for a few years and have recommended anyone who is looking for an Optometrist to go here. Every time I order new glasses I receive them sooner than expected. Dr. Kiley takes the time with each of his patients to make sure any concerns are addressed, he goes in depth to educate his patients as well. Sometimes, when you go to a doctor you get the feeling that they are just trying to make money off of you and that is DEFINETLY not the case here. I have been a patient of Dr Kiley's for at least 10 years now. This is a great office! I have had chronic problems with my eyes and Dr. Kiley was really committed to solving the issues and making my eyes more comfortable. Though my appointments may lapse of every 18-24 months, Dr. Kiley always remembers me and my eyes and what the issues are, which is hard to come by in medical professionals today. I like visiting this small accessible office better than a large production house where they don't know you and never will. I highly recommend and have referred several friends and co-workers.
