The front desk staff have varied over the years, and sadly, the last batch appears to have been misplaced: They collectively (and individually) have the personality and dispassionate guest-relations skills of stereotypical DMV workers. No more warm, smiling genuine greetings upon entering the office :( It seems like since they remodeled the office, the friendly front desk staff disappeared. I've tried to engage in a warm connection with this new batch of grumpy greeters, but got the bored look of a gen z (or is it y? I dunno...) looking at 'this smiling old lady' who wants to make friends? I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled their eyes at me once I turned my back. I recommend mixing it up and also hiring mature font desk folks who've lived and seen a little life, who understand and appreciate the customer service includes exuding warmth & compassion and a true interest in the patients who spend their money there. I would not encourage anyone to purchase their glasses at this establishment, because the staff is seemingly not trained in sizing frames to the face. They don't appear to know how progressive lenses need to be fitted to the eyes/face, and they are definitely not skilled at adjusting the newly arrived pair of glasses to the ears and nose - I know because all three of them made the attempt and did NOT give me glasses that function the way they should. I have to use my hands to lift my glasses up so I can see things on my laptop. Sadly, It felt like once they receive payment, there's not much incentive to provide a functioning product? Hundreds of dollars down the drain.... During my short time in the room with the Doc, I mentioned the problem with my glasses, but just got a disinterested 'Hum' in response... She was already on to other things....

She really knows her profession from what contact lenses are available in what increments to educating clients on eye care. Although Dr. Waldorf is no longer offering appointments the business continues to grow and I am delighted to see the office will be undergoing a bit of remodeling shortly. This will allow a greater offering of eye wear and a nicer waiting area. Look forward to seeing the new space at our next visit.

I now tell anyone who is looking for an optometrist to go see Dr. Haworth. Not only is he personable and kind, he truely enjoys interacting with his patients. He explains what each test is and what is going on. And his staff are awesome, too. They are all very kind and understanding. When I was 5 minutes late this morning, I apologized and the receptionist responded, "It's saturday morning, don't worry about it!" When she noticed that I hadn't been able to come in to pick up my contacts- an extra pair I had asked for to hold me over til my appointment- she said, "You should have called! We would have mailed them out for you!" Just a great experience, every year. If you need a new eye doctor, look no further!

Dr. Haworth is kind, caring and his team is equally great. While I was waiting to be seen I overheard their staff making phone calls to confirm appointments for upcoming days and they went the extra mile to confirm insurance coverage on their patients behalf so that there were no surprises. They also send text messages reminding people of their appointments, which for an anti-phone person like me is wonderful. Their office is clean, spacious, and welcoming. I am thrilled with my experience there and would highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a new eye doc. If I could change anything it's that it did take about 2 months to be seen as a new patient, but now that I've been there I can't imagine going anywhere else.

The staff there were all very friendly and professional. I was also really impress of how modern the center is, for example; receiving an email and text to remind you of your appointment. This place had some really advanced and sophisticated instrument for eye exam. It has been a couple of year since I had an eye exam and I did not realize how advance the instruments are now. Dr. Kenyon was a true professional. He gave me the most thorough eye examination I have ever had. He really took the time to explain everything to me, which really help put all my worries about any issues with my eyes at ease. He even help me pick out my new pair of glass. This is for the Woonsocket office!! I was severely disappointed with my experience. I have vision…read moreinsurance thru my job. I don't live in Woonsocket but wanted to support a smaller business vs a large chain. Called ahead & spoke to front desk agent 1, she confirmed they take my eye insurance which is a common one. Walk in day of exam, get my exam done, I was then told by front desk agent 2 (I believe it was a blonde woman) I don't have eye insurance and only my exam is free but the glasses/lens aren't covered by any insurance. I know for a fact I have coverage and tell her I called to confirm I did and was told so by front desk agent 1 and it was taken by this eye office. I was disregarded by front desk agent 2 and told to call HR at my job about it. I wasn't going to stay and debate as she was unfriendly. Contacted my HR office and they confirmed I had said eye provider. I call the eye office back and reached front desk agent 1 who confirmed (again!) I had said eye insurance which I said I know I did all along. Because of this incompetent experience from front desk agent 2 I just had them send my eye prescription over to an outside big chain eye office instead because this office wasted my time calling around and driving to another town. I go to the big chain eye office, pick out my glasses no problem. Get the glasses and the prescriptions felt so off, he tells me wear them for a few weeks to get used to them and if it still feels off call the small eye chain (Atlantic family) and ask for a re-exam. I wear them for Over a month hoping to get used to them. They don't feel right. I feel cross eyed wearing them, can't gauge distance when I walk and the floor feels elevated. I go back to Atlantic family, they test my glasses and said my prescriptions match what was on file from exam at their office. I ask if maybe the exam needs to be redone ? She says if I wanted to "entertain" that idea I could get re-examed. I didn't like the wording and treatment assuming I was being a difficult customer (why would I lie about the prescriptions being off?) all I wanted was to see correctly while driving and living life lol. Disappointed again at this place. I just wait until 2025 comes around instead to get exam at a different big chain instead of Atlantic family. I Won't come back. My eye exam was a bit weird too. She barely had me view the board to call off what I saw. Just 2 lines of it. The exam would be more in depth as I had sat in with my child's exam and it seemed more thorough. Fast forward a few months later it's now 2025: I get a new eye exam from a big eye chain and they tell me old prescription from only a few months ago at Atlantic family was completely off. I had astigmatism in BOTH eyes not just ONE and the vision in my left eye was completely different than what Atlantic family prescribed. Don't let Atlantic family eye gaslight you into believing the exam they do is correct.

I suggested we leave and she calmed down a bit. Saying that was the problem with the general scheduling Department. That was not our problem and as patients she should not have treated us that way.
