The front desk staff have varied over the years, and sadly, the last batch appears to have been misplaced: They collectively (and individually) have the personality and dispassionate guest-relations skills of stereotypical DMV workers. No more warm, smiling genuine greetings upon entering the office :( It seems like since they remodeled the office, the friendly front desk staff disappeared. I've tried to engage in a warm connection with this new batch of grumpy greeters, but got the bored look of a gen z (or is it y? I dunno...) looking at 'this smiling old lady' who wants to make friends? I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled their eyes at me once I turned my back. I recommend mixing it up and also hiring mature font desk folks who've lived and seen a little life, who understand and appreciate the customer service includes exuding warmth & compassion and a true interest in the patients who spend their money there. I would not encourage anyone to purchase their glasses at this establishment, because the staff is seemingly not trained in sizing frames to the face. They don't appear to know how progressive lenses need to be fitted to the eyes/face, and they are definitely not skilled at adjusting the newly arrived pair of glasses to the ears and nose - I know because all three of them made the attempt and did NOT give me glasses that function the way they should. I have to use my hands to lift my glasses up so I can see things on my laptop. Sadly, It felt like once they receive payment, there's not much incentive to provide a functioning product? Hundreds of dollars down the drain.... During my short time in the room with the Doc, I mentioned the problem with my glasses, but just got a disinterested 'Hum' in response... She was already on to other things....

She really knows her profession from what contact lenses are available in what increments to educating clients on eye care. Although Dr. Waldorf is no longer offering appointments the business continues to grow and I am delighted to see the office will be undergoing a bit of remodeling shortly. This will allow a greater offering of eye wear and a nicer waiting area. Look forward to seeing the new space at our next visit.

Dangerous Communication Breakdown and Failure of Post-Treatment Continuity of Care:…read more I am writing this review to document a severe and dangerous failure in patient care and communication at this practice.My first visit was on a Friday. The next day (Saturday), I experienced eye complications. I called the office on Monday, and the doctor saw me on Wednesday, starting me on an antibiotic treatment. On Thursday, the next afternoon, I developed a new complication same eye, I called to report it and reception said dr would call me back. On Friday, I developed another new complication same eye and called the office, dr will look this over and call me back. Later that day, the complications worsened, and I called again. Coincidentally, my husband had an appointment at this same office that Friday. His optometrist (who initially saw me for my first visit) explicitly told him that she would be in the Greenville office on Saturday and that I could be seen if needed. If that was a mix-up who knows, BUT I did call and leave a message When my symptoms escalated on Saturday. No one responded to my call. My husband drove me directly to the location, only to find the doors locked and the office completely closed. It is now Monday, and this office has still failed to follow up on a patient who called twice in 24 hours (besides the other calls) with worsening symptoms while on antibiotic therapy.Today, I called to request my medical records and eye prescription so I could transfer my care to an office that takes patient safety seriously. When I asked the receptionist about the office's protocol for returning patient phone calls, she stated she "understood my frustration"--despite the fact that I was speaking calmly and factually. After confirming my email address to send the records, she asked me to hold because she was going to try and reach that dr as he was in the office...the call was disconnected. They did not call me back, and my medical records and prescription have still not been emailed to me. Ignoring a patient undergoing active antibiotic treatment who reports worsening, new complications is medical abandonment. Withholding prescriptions and records is unacceptable. I am transferring my care as it is blatantly obvious they do not want or need our business.

While I'm not quite needle-phobic, I'm knee-quivering terrified of getting blood drawn due to a number of horrible experiences in the past. Since my veins are much smaller than average and difficult to locate, I've felt n' suffered everything from being jabbed all ice-pic like in the hands to black and blue bruises all over my arms. And sadly this has happened at clinics, doctors, hospitals and even in ambulances. Today I had to bite the bullet and finally get my testing done prior to yet another appointment next week. Tucked neatly away across the street from the Lincoln Mall, the process was amazingly quick and pain free. Reception called me up no longer than 2 minutes after sitting down for quick paper work. A few moments later, the same very friendly woman brought me to a back room, massaged my hand to expose a vein and WHAM, two viles of blood were drawn with zippo pain or bruising. I was so shocked in fact, I didn't even realize the needle was still in as she was doing it. So yeah, if I ever need blood testing done again, I'd prefer it were here!

At 9:40 am still waiting in the waiting room and haven't seen the DR yet. Very disrespectful of people's time. I cancelled my appointment and also cancelled my daughter's upcoming appointment. The woman who walked out ahead of me told me she had an 8:30 am appointment and she saw the DR walking in a 9 am! She wasn't very happy either. Note: When I was younger Dr Rowey was the owner of Vision Associates and he was very very timely. Too bad it went down hill.

The staff are all friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and concerns throughout the entire process. I knew exactly what to expect going in and coming out of surgery thanks to them, and the surgery itself only took about 10 minutes. I've had fillings that were way worse! 0 pain or discomfort. I'd describe the surgery itself like a slightly more complex eye exam. I opted to go with lasik over PRK, after talking with Dr. Rose (who is absolutely outstanding) and I was seeing clearly just a few hours later! Never once did I feel pressured or under informed. I couldn't recommend these folks enough! I struggled with vision since the 5th grade, and for the first time in my life I can just wake up and see!!!
