Went Parasailing for the first time today with Atlantic Parasail and it was fantastic! The crew were great, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They even pointed out some fish and dolphins and we even saw a shark! The ride was easy, it was a gentle launch and recovery and a thrilling ride! I usually don't like heights but I felt secure and the ride was so smooth that I enjoyed the trip right from the start! This was our last day of vacation and the right activity to finish up with! Highly recommended.

OK folks -- this is nothing like parachuting from 10,000 feet -- and since you get geared up to the giggy -- no worries. The parachute ride at Coney Island back in the day triggered more of an adrenaline rush. Still, parasailing amounts to a pleasant 90 minute boat ride with about 10 other folks, where you take turns being gently dragged a couple hundred feet in the air behind a small boat. Depending on weight, you can fly tandem or even in threes. Nice views, peaceful, pleasant -- almost sedate. Get the photo or go-Pro package -- if you are looking for quality keepsake shots. Our crew (Ryan and Brandon) were exceedingly polite, cheerful and professional. Highly recommend them and the trip -- especially if you are toting bored teenagers along -- who want more adventure than whale watching tours.

I booked a parasailing tour online before arriving in Wildwood Crest for myself and my 8 year old son. Booking online was easy and the site thoroughly explained all details of our trip including what to expect and all safety measures the crew takes to ensure a great time. Confirmation emails and a follow up reminder 2 days before our trip. While booking I wanted to utilize the GoPro for our sail in the sky however it was no longer available due to cv-19 concerns. Matt worked with me and was able to accommodate my requests. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! We arrived 30 minutes before departure. Masks were required inside where you check in and I appreciated that. We walked down the dock and waited for our boat to pull in. As the boat docked and the previous group exited the dock, Thomas and Turtle could be seen wiping and disinfecting the boat. "Common down gang! Throw your shoes in the basket and hop on board!" My son and I were first on the boat. We were pumped! 11 passengers in total. I believe 12 is the max they allow on the boat. Plenty of room, nobody was squished together. As we departed from the dock to head out to sea Turtle explained exactly what to expect and went over in detail all precautions and safety measures they take to ensure a fun, safe flight as well as how to take off and land back onboard. The boat had 3 children on it including my son, music played was age appropriate for all. When it was our turn to go up, thorough instructions were given on the GoPro I requested as we were being harnessed up. Turtle helped my son get to the back of the boat in position safely. Not once did I question safety, they were on point! I loved the interactions it made my son and I feel very comfortable. Any time my son had a question or request the Thomas and Turtle were all ears and really made us feel welcomed, felt like a trip with good friends. Strapped in ready to go Thomas handed me the GoPro and 3....2.....1! Lift off!! Incredible views and a memory I now share with my son forever. We saw dolphins and sting rays, the Thunder Cat (another tour boat available on their website *dolphin tours) drove right under us at one point giving us awesome views of the dolphins chasing their wake. Before being pulled back on we were dipped in the ocean (you can opt out of this however I highly recommend it) not too much just to the knees and it was so awesome! They watched to make sure my son was having a good time and even with the other child that went up before us I heard Thomas and Turtle constantly watching body language to make sure kids were comfortable and having a good time before really lifting us higher. Safe gentle landing back on the boat. We lost our seat at the front because once you get back on Turtle helps get you out of the gear (everyone kinda rotates as we take turns) and my son really wanted to go back up front lol I asked Turtle and Thomas if we could move and they slowed down and we were assisted back up to the front. This is a must do if you are heading to the shore. I'd give this 10 stars if I could. My crew was excellent and when we go back, I'm requesting another tour with the rest of my family with those guys! *TIP bring some cash with you to slide to your crew!! Thank you Thomas and Turtle for providing excellent service and helping me give my son a memory he will cherish forever.

Drew and Thomas gave us an awesome experience. The photo package was well worth it. Highly recommend!

JUST DO IT! My wife and two kids (10 & 13) did it and they had a blast. I was an observer but once I saw how safe and secure it was, I will do it next time. While up there, they saw dolphins and even a phone floating in the water! Crew was awesome and made you feel safe.

First time parasailing and the crew had us feel at ease. The captain was super friendly and his first mate, "Turtle" was super helpful. They would point out dolphins and had us feeling comfortable going up and coming back down. I would definitely recommend and plan on going back again!

right before being "dipped" in the water

Went to Atlantic Parasail to celebrate a birthday and the experience couldn't have been any better! Chris was our captain and he was fun, energetic, and very helpful throughout our entire trip. From check-in to the moment my friend and I were lifted in the air to parasail, the entire process was seamless and stress free. Will definitely be returning!

How high do you go up?

300 feet - it sounds like more than it looks and we felt safe the whole time! There is an option to signal the crew if you want to be pulled down early, so you're in control.

We booked over the phone and the person who helped us was clear and patient. We reserved for 9:30 AM the next morning. There is a parking lot on Bay Ave just past the restaurant next door, so that was easy. We checked in, paid, sat for a few minutes while our crew got the boat ready, and set out for fun. We were glad we brought a sweatshirt as it wasn't hot yet at that time in the morning. I wore mine while flying and was very comfortable. We hope to bring other family members back so they can experience it. Would definitely ask for these guys again, although I'm sure all the staff is great!

No need to chum the ocean with my vomit once I get airborne. Thanks but no thanks.) The key to the whole experience with OC Parasail is easy with one small exception. The setup is you go to their site (www.oceancityparasail.com), find a date and time, choose something and then all pricing is laid out clearly. After payment you get a confirmation email or two explaining everything from where to go to what you can/can't bring with you and when they want you to show up. Check in was fast and easy with a small waiver needing to be filled out. After that it was time to wait until the captain was ready. Note that they do offer some type of photo package add on but it's on the expensive side. The staff was quite happy when we declined since none of the people on the ride were getting photos so I assume the needed equipment didn't have to come on the boat. The kids said the experience was fun. The captain had the radio blaring and was poorly-humorously "singing" along to some of his favorites. Two of the other patrons from the mid-west who had never seen/been on the ocean before apparently hurled over the side once things started rocking around a bit. I guess they had a good time even if they were still turning colors when everyone got back on solid ground after the ride. Here's the one tiny issue: Parking. Bay Avenue is all condos/homes on one side of the street with a single row of parking and a solid mix of condos and commercial business on the other with no parking. The business has a small pad next to their check in hut but it's not really somewhere designed for long-term parking. More of a drop and go point. Past that it's good luck on the street. The restaurant next door (Dockside Kitchen) has their own lot but I'm not sure if it's useable or not by for non-patrons if they are open. In the end everyone was happy with the experience and everything ran on time and was as expected. I mean sure it's pricey, but that's to be expected commensurate to the activity. No problem bringing them back for another round in the future if they want it.

Cute too! ;) She patiently answered all my questions in a way that shows she shows cares about making customers happy. You know when someone is just answering questions robotically versus actually being attentive. She helped us find a time that fit into our "tourist" agenda. We even received a text reminder about our appointment. On the water our skipper (Kevin? Orioles fan, but we'll forgive that :) ) and Sam (Boston Red Sox fan, yay!) were personal and efficient. They played great music, too. Otherwise it was simple - they were efficient managing the equipment and piloting the boat, so it was a simple and fun experience, which to me is a sign of expert proficiency. There were six of us going up - three pairs on the boat. So the air time is...12-15 minutes? What you will note is the quiet and peacefulness up there. It's worth doing at least once in your life. And I would recommend doing it with this team!

They take you in a boat and it takes about 2 hours to finish the ride and come back . One of our kids didn't want to parasail and they charged 25$ for him to come with us . I wish they let him free because he was less than 9 years and he sat on our lap. Parking was a bit messy ... Overall a good experience ... 4 stars !

There is also a $25 photo package where the crew member will take photos on a digital camera and give you a disc afterward. My 7-year-old son and I (yep, everyone except infants and pregnant women can ride) did this for the first time yesterday. There is no discount for children, though. Started off signing some waivers, and then with a short boat ride to the parasailing "section." This trip was in the bay as the ocean was "like a washing machine" according to the staff. I was on the boat with a family of 8, and they let us go first as we were rookies at this. When we got to the start, the crew decided to change the chute to the larger one, so we had a short delay of a few minutes. They set up the bigger chute, and got my son and I on the rear deck of the new 2011 boat. We during the first part of the ride were given life vests and a seating harness. With the chute fully opened and in the air, we were hooked into the caribeaners and seating. In a few seconds, we were airborn! Flying! We were anywhere from 350 to 500 feet in the air, and it was a lot of fun to see the 360' views for miles. We even were "close" enough to wave to other boats and be waved back to. You could carry on a conversation, and the breeze was nice and not loud. The boat made some zigzags and slowed down to get up and down in the chute, and you spend about 10-15 minutes in the air. Then, they pull you back and at the very end if you wish, they can dip you into the water. It can be just your feet, or up to your neck! I was surprised at how warm the bay water was. Since we went first, my son and I got to sit on the boat drying off while everyone else went - sometimes in triple, or doubles. The crew and staff were very professional, and likable. There were no problems at all with our tour. They boast a 100% safety record. The entire trip lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on how many are in the boat going. I highly recommend going parasailing while you're on vacation in LBI! I'll be back!
