We loved parasailing with Keegan and Dom! They were so nice and skilled at what they do. It was a blast and we were so glad we did it! We booked over the phone and the person who helped us was clear and patient. We reserved for 9:30 AM the next morning. There is a parking lot on Bay Ave just past the restaurant next door, so that was easy. We checked in, paid, sat for a few minutes while our crew got the boat ready, and set out for fun. We were glad we brought a sweatshirt as it wasn't hot yet at that time in the morning. I wore mine while flying and was very comfortable. We hope to bring other family members back so they can experience it. Would definitely ask for these guys again, although I'm sure all the staff is great! read more

(This is not a 1st person review as I only handled the logistics for my kids who are the ones who actually did the parasailing. Why not me? No need to chum the ocean with my vomit once I get airborne. Thanks but no thanks.) The key to the whole experience with OC Parasail is easy with one small exception. The setup is you go to their site (www.oceancityparasail.com), find a date and time, choose something and then all pricing is laid out clearly. After payment you get a confirmation email or two explaining everything from where to go to what you can/can't bring with you and when they want you to show up. Check in was fast and easy with a small waiver needing to be filled out. After that it was time to wait until the captain was ready. Note that they do offer some type of photo package add on but it's on the expensive side. The staff was quite happy when we declined since none of the people on the ride were getting photos so I assume the needed equipment didn't have to come on the boat. The kids said the experience was fun. The captain had the radio blaring and was poorly-humorously "singing" along to some of his favorites. Two of the other patrons from the mid-west who had never seen/been on the ocean before apparently hurled over the side once things started rocking around a bit. I guess they had a good time even if they were still turning colors when everyone got back on solid ground after the ride. Here's the one tiny issue: Parking. Bay Avenue is all condos/homes on one side of the street with a single row of parking and a solid mix of condos and commercial business on the other with no parking. The business has a small pad next to their check in hut but it's not really somewhere designed for long-term parking. More of a drop and go point. Past that it's good luck on the street. The restaurant next door (Dockside Kitchen) has their own lot but I'm not sure if it's useable or not by for non-patrons if they are open. In the end everyone was happy with the experience and everything ran on time and was as expected. I mean sure it's pricey, but that's to be expected commensurate to the activity. No problem bringing them back for another round in the future if they want it. read more

So much fun! I've been parasailing before, but the guys that run this one are amazing. The captain was great at getting us up there and explained the rigging process quickly and the first mate helped us into place and took awesome pictures when we were up in the air. We got over 100 shots! All the equipment was new looking and everything was clean, there was nothing else they could've done better in my opinion - they even had little watertight boxes to put anything in your pockets in to make sure you don't lose them. Great time, great people, great memories, and all for a great price too! Definitely recommend them! read more

I could not have had a more perfect first experience! You have to give this company a try. We made a Sunday afternoon appointment and were lucky enough to be the only two for that time slot. We had a great time zipping out to our location with captain Joel and his helper, Vinny. They were fantastic, thorough, and super fun. I was nervous for sure, but they actually made me excited to be shot into the sky strapped to a parachute! I highly recommend their additional photo package - Vinny got some amazing shots of us. Joel and John took us out aboard the Slip Knot. It was a wonderful adventure! 12 passengers total on the boat. They took them up 2 at a time for approx 10 mins each. Great music playing the whole ride and lots of laughs and happy faces all around!! Would go back again!! read more

I guess I should have known my stomach was in trouble when I was already feeling seasick just walking on the dock to the boat. Let me just say that being in the air was awesome but unfortunately I am someone easily affected by motion and that kind of ruined it for me. We had 5 groups on our boat and my daughter and I were last to go up. I had been apprehensive the whole time about going up, mainly that I would feel queasy up there but that was not the case at all. Actually being in the air was a welcome relief from the motion of that boat. It's just that by the time it was our turn I was feeling unbelievably nauseous so that I could hardly enjoy it up there. In fact, I was trying to throw up in the air but just had dry heaves. I should have gotten my hands on Dramamine but I thought I had gotten better ... I used to be worse when i was younger. (Note to self: I haven't) I was really going to give this review 4 stars - Capt. Mike and Bobby were very good, equipment felt secure, boat was clean, and just because everyone else had stomachs of steel and I don't doesn't mean it's not a good time. The thing I was annoyed about is I read reviews on another site praising the photo package so we got it only to spend $30 for a good deal of blurry photos. $75 is a lot of money for 10 minutes in the air (luckily we had a groupon) and $30 is a a bit excessive for pictures for something so far away only to find many of them blurry. You also get another set of generic photos of scenes on the beach and boardwalk but as a New Jersey native, who cares? In 57 years I have taken my share of beach and boardwalk photos. And do I really need a photo of someone's toes while she is in the parasail??? On top of that, there is a sign suggesting you tip them! All in all, it's a fun experience and something you can check off your list but if you are prone to seasickness in the slightest bit, I highly suggest you take something for it and try and go first or second. At least you can enjoy your time in the air more before the seasickness really kicks in. read more

I paid for 2 11 year olds and 2 13 year olds to parasail and paid $40 for the picture packet. I handed my picture card to the 2 male crew then waited excitedly to see the pictures for all 4 kids. The crew decided to take pictures of the 2 pretty 11 year old girls and conveniently forgot the pictures of the boys. Those are memories that I will never get back and now have no pictures of. I received an "oh sorry" from the crew and a $20 refund for half the photos. How about the memories what are they worth. This is the first time my kids did this and my son was so upset his sister got pictures and he didnt. Thanks OC Parasail for making parasailing a lasting memory of disappointment by 2 boys and the parents. read more

PIRATE BOAT (SEA DRAGON) IS A TOTAL TOURIST TRAP. I'm a camp counselor, and I went here with my campers on a field trip recently. We got there, and they wouldn't give life jackets to the young campers unless their parents asked in advance, even though many of my campers requested them at the site. The bathroom is inside their "gift shop," which is filled with toys the cashier said the kids weren't allowed to touch. To be honest, the kids playing with the toys was the best she could have hoped for because they were way overpriced. ($5 for a felt hat!) When we got on the boat, there were signs saying to tip the crew (which I didn't, because they were terrible actors). Though many of my campers enjoyed the boat, some of my campers, at age 6, were bored, seasick, and knew all the show's tricks. Overall experience was frustrating, would not recommend. read more

I'm so glad I did this! This is one of the best ideas I've ever had for something new to try. The staff was great, the price was reasonable, and the experience was unbeatable. I really hope I get an opportunity to do this again someday! Random thoughts: 1) Very helpful and friendly staff. We were signed up for 4p, but they moved us up to 2p when we got there early. Super easy to work with. 2) Aside from the parasailing, just the boat ride itself was relaxing and fun. 3) The price of this is quite reasonable, especially if they have an online discount (which they did for us). 4) The photo package was pretty awesome. They got some great pics of my friend and I. I'm not normally one to pay for pictures like that, but I'm glad I did. You don't have to wait for the pics either. They give you an SD card to keep with your pictures on it before you even leave the boat. Great system and you can re-use the SD card for other things. 5) I'm terrified of heights, but for some reason this didn't trigger that fear at all. I was comfortable the entire time and really enjoyed the experience. Overall, this was a great company to work with and an amazing experience. I HIGHLY recommend this! read more

We went parasailing on a whim. We were enjoying the beach in Ocean City and saw the parasailors going by. Read the phone number off of the parachute and gave them a call. The woman who answered was very friendly and informative. They had several openings that day. We chose the 5:30pm slot (we called at 2pm). Friendly staff at the counter when we arrived. The captain and first mate were super friendly, funny, and professional. The captain really knew his stuff and was in perfect control of the boat and parasail. The first mate handled the harnesses, rigging, and safety gear. Felt very safe. This was our first time parasailing. The crew gave us full confidence. The boat ride out to the ocean was fun, but nothing beats the peaceful experience of being so high above the ocean's surface. We highly recommend Ocean City Parasail. read more

AWESOME!!! First time parasailing and it was fun!! Capt. Joel and 1st Mate Vinnie were great!! Very knowledgeable, explained everything and made it a safe and very enjoyable experience. We were the 2nd trip of the day. They told us it was too rough to be off shore and that we will be in the bay. I think it was a smart decision. The idea of us to be able to dump all the pics off the SD card onto our IPhone was just a brilliant idea. Our was 8 and it was over 600 pics. Even better they let us dump them onto 2 phones also. We are going to make this annual event. Of course got t-shirts and sweatshirts. They had a wide variety. Since it's the end of the season not too many XXL but sill got some. My wife had always talked about going parasailing so I surprised her by booking with Ocean City Parasail. We were a little nervous at first (especially bringing our 7-year old) but it turned out to be a very good experience. The crew (Mike and Bobby) were great, obviously knew their stuff, and the equipment was in good working order. We have been flying with ocean city parasail for over 10 years. They are the best. Safest and friendliest to go with. Wether it's small children or adults it is a great time. Mike keeps his boats updated and clean and the music is great. Sets a great time for the trip. Clay who was his deck hand was great as well. I used Ocean City Parasailing for the first time last week. First time for my 3 daughters so I was excited. On a whim, I decided to take my 82 year old mom for her first time ever. She has never really done anything adventurous and I wanted to share this moment with her. I lost my dad in December and am trying enjoy these moments with my mom while I have her here with me. I paid for the picture package because I obviously wanted to remember this adventure forever for my girls and obviously for me and my mom. We went and we did it! And they all loved it especially my mom! Then I was told they had an issue with my pictures and they weren't able to see them. They said they'd try again when we got back to the pier. They said there were pictures on there but couldn't see them on the camera. Back at the dock, same thing -NOTHING! There is nothing on the disc. They were not apologetic at all honestly. I was told hopefully I could take it somewhere and someone rose could find them. But the thing that irritated me the most was being told by one employee "Oh, well - make it a present for her 83rd birthday!" Really? Having lost my dad 8 months ago that's a bit harsh of a statement to make to anyone but particularly to someone in my position. You aren't guaranteed anything in life. I called back and was basically told it is not their fault and they would give me back the money for picture package. But if I wanted to taker her up again that would be great but I would need to pay for it again. Ugh. Thanks. Not an easy feat with an 82 year old woman who isn't steady on her feet. Needless to say I will not be using this company again. Their lack of compassion and apology was overwhelming. read more

Last year we did wave runners for first time, this summer I said parasailing. Great time with OC Parasailing. Clay and Joel were 100% professional and capable in managing the boat, the parasail, and the passengers. They were also fun & entertaining. The boat, parasail, ropes, & harnesses were in new and in great shape. My 14 year old and her friend had a blast. I had a great time riding along in the boat.
