Here's what went wrong: I booked a 10′ truck and showed up to unload three heavy Snap-On toolboxes. The truck had no ramp, something that was never disclosed. A store representative originally granted me a free 24-hour extension to try and get a ramp. Then the store manager erased that free extension from my account, putting me a full day "behind" through no fault of my own. The manager even placed a note in my account stating I should not be allowed to rent or extend the rental in the future. Now I'm faced with returning the truck with my belongings still inside and absolutely no idea what will happen -- extra charges? contract voided? Throughout this ordeal, I received conflicting, aggressive, and unprofessional communication instead of help or consistency. To be clear -- I have paid every day the truck has been in my possession. I'm not refusing payment. I've simply been trying to avoid a confrontation with a manager who acted hostile and vindictive. This location showed a complete lack of integrity and respect for customers. I hope corporate sees this and takes action, but I would never trust Orange Park U-Haul again.

I was leaning against the side of my Ford F150, sweating and questioning my life choices. Next thing I know, this gentleman isn't a ninja at all but instead is the new Store Manager of the facility now owned by Securcare and he's bringing us bottles of water. Out of the years my daughter's been renting here, not once has anyone been as friendly as Alex has. We talked for a bit about the planned renovations for the property before he excused himself to assist some other customers. TL;DR Don't let the appearance fool you. The regional manager just apologized, no offer of monetary help. At the time of theft, there WERE NO CAMERAS INSTALLED. The man/men, when caught, will face State of Florida Felony Burglary charges. I found out on a Sunday, and had my kids with me. Secure storage it is not. Now for the bad. They ruined my sofa, I thought they put furniture on top of padding so it doesn't get grease on the fabric? Black grease on the side of the sofa. Second thing, they were suppose to bring a 3 man team and ended up with 2. More time it takes, more money. At the end, at bill paying time they took off $25 for the third person not showing! Thirdly, they sure chat up with my hubby. Hmmm, more time, more money. The time sure stretched out. Finally, that I know of right now, they put boxes wherever! I clearly had each box marked as to which room it goes. They would also ask me, I finally started saying "what's the box say?" Moving is stressful as it is, I would know, I've done it every two years most of my life (military). This was pretty stressful. I also tipped generously because I know moving "stuff" is not easy. When I move again, because I get restless in one place, I may have to find a different moving company.
