He reported that the store setup seemed weird to him and he spent a lot of time looking for the maple cookies. Cashier was friendly, he just thought the layout of the store was confusing. Hard to comment about the prices because of currency in Canadian and we are from US so everything seems so much cheaper. Posted sign says 2 - 24 pk water for $5. That would be $3.66 U.S. Dollar! If you're into raw food for your pooch they've got that covered too. Another thing I've noticed is their cashiers are very efficient, aka fast! Walmart and Superstore should send their cashiers here for training. If I really have to be picky, I'd have to say that this is not a place to bring your children. We can only come when one of us stays in the van with our young children. For one, their shopping carts are small. And secondly, this is a very busy place with limited floor space. Also the parking lot on the weekends is a zoo. But even with these "hindrances" we still manage to buy groceries here.

These things are annoying but what happened today was quite upsetting. The product I was purchasing was on sale, but the deal was you had to buy 2 to get the sale price. As it happened there was only 1 left. I would gladly have bought the 2 items to get the sale price but they didn't have 2. Is that really my fault? There were two girls behind the counter doing nothing. We were told we had to go to a checkout because the checkouts weren't busy. Went to the checkout line and only two were open each serving someone and five people with full carts in line. Went back to customer service and spoke to an on duty supervisor who was now willing to check us out. My wife was told customers are told to go to checkout because if they are not kept busy they will have their hours cut. We could have gone to self checkout, how would this affect their hours. There are serious problems with the way the Truro SuperStore is managed and that is why my store of choice is Sobeys.

And even the most vulnerable people need groceries, so it seems reasonable to think that a grocery store might be more cautious about a public health emergency than some other businesses. Masks are not required in this store, and haven't been in months. Most people in the store don't wear masks, including some of the employees. Nothing is done anymore to enable people to keep some distance between themselves and others. What finally pushed me to write this review is that, when I went a few days ago, there were people fundraising for something at the exit. None of those people were wearing masks, and their positioning at the exit made it impossible to avoid them. Just terrible handling of an ongoing crisis.

You won't find everything you need here (the Superstore on Barrington is a bit better for that reason) but it's pretty decent. The prices definitely feel steeper than at Superstore though.
