Then I realized there were other parts of the building that weren't "store front". We usually come here to stock up on steaks, ribs or whatever meat they have on sale that week. If you're into raw food for your pooch they've got that covered too. Another thing I've noticed is their cashiers are very efficient, aka fast! Walmart and Superstore should send their cashiers here for training. If I really have to be picky, I'd have to say that this is not a place to bring your children. We can only come when one of us stays in the van with our young children. For one, their shopping carts are small. And secondly, this is a very busy place with limited floor space. Prices on some items were high ($9 for juice) but other items were entirely reasonable ($1 for 2L soda water). Produce prices were high, as were some dry goods. This store had a bakery, seafood, deli and meat counters. Friendly enough service. You can earn Air Miles.

They have expanded the ready made section and I often grabbed something for the drive home to snack on. I didnt care for everything I tried but would not return something simply because it wasnt to my liking. Last week I purchased some hot pepperoni for the drive home. Ive been eating pepperoni since I was a kid. I like hot. I do not like mild or honey garlic. I was disappointed as it turned out to be mild. I checked the label but it was marked hot. So this week when I went in I grabbed my items as well as a package of pepperoni around the same price. I brought my receipt and the pepperoni purchased earlier. I have never returned anything to Daves in my life and actually just wanted an exchange. After paying for my other items and waiting for a manager I was denied an exchange and told it wasnt their fault just because I did not find it hot enough. I have had to return things to Giant Tiger, Costco, Sobeys and superstore. I have always been treated well and never given a hassle. This is not the customer service I expected. I was embarrassed and made to feel like I didnt know what I was talking about and I was wasting busy peoples time. They have lost a customer in me and 3 family members as well.

It is located in the newer developed area by the Best Western Hotel. Outside of Atlantic Canada, the store is called The Real Canadian Superstore, which is kind of a funny name, but coming from Ontario, that's what I know it as, lol. They are owned by Loblaws and they sell President's Choice and No Name products. I didn't really see anything there that was different from my local Superstore at home, which was kind of disappointing for me because when I'm away from home I like to browse supermarkets for local and regional products. I guess The Superstore is very corporate and all stores are pretty much the same. So from a tourist point of view, I was disappointed, but if I was a local living in Liverpool, I think I would love the Superstore because it's big, bright, and modern looking, and prices are good. Lots of free parking on site.
