These issues were not there before the other shop replaced the lead frame. The original repair shop claimed transmission was shot and that I needed a rebuilt transmission for 5 grand. Mind you I am already into this over a grand On an 11 year old vehicle. I called several other transmission shops and they all recommended a rebuilt transmission including Ford Without even a test drive. I knew in my mind the issues had to do with the installation of the lead frame. I luckily stumbled upon B and B transmission. I told them about the hard shift and gear hunting after the other shop replaced the lead frame. Terry and Carl said to bring it and they would test drive it and diagnose the issue. I am happy to say they agreed with me that the issue was a repair not a replace situation and they removed the pan and discovered a seal had not been inserted properly . A few hours and 300 dollars later and I was rolling again. They could have taken the more profitable route and sold me a rebuilt unit but instead they did the right thing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND B and B.

I've had a number of rip offs and attempted rip offs over the years and usually have an idea of what's going on with the car beforehand and an idea of what to expect. Never been any unpleasant surprises here and they're always very helpful. Last year I had a car with a problem muffler which was overdue for retirement anyway. I drove it there figuring they could keep the cost down if anyone. I meant way down. They were swamped and couldn't even evaluate but sent me to a custom auto shop they knew. I went there and asked them to jerry rig whatever was wrong with the muffler, hoping for like wiring the hanger up or something. It sounded like it was dragging. Turned out it was broken and they welded or soldered the freaking thing back on for peanuts!! It was exactly what I wanted to spend: next to nothing! And I was out in half an hour! Does that ever happen?! When has that ever happened with a car repair in your life?! Most are such crooks. I thanked them profusely for jerry rigging it, he said" oh it's welded, solidly it's not jerry rigged. It's not gonna break." And it hasn't, that was over a year ago. I believe both shops earned a spot right next to st peter in the afterlife that day. As long as they don't blow it they're set for the afterlife. I will go and review that other place soon too. As it ended up there were other financial hits and I kept the car longer anyway.. but couldn't have without that service. Anyway that's like the complete opposite of my most extreme disreputable blatant attempted rip off by a local Exxon in Ellicott City toward the west route 40 part over 20 years ago. That business had passed to the son after my Dad had relied on them for decades. Became grifters! I'll write that up soon too here.

So I thought, what the heck, let's see if this auto shop can help me. They gave me a tow since I was nearby, checked out my car, and gave me their thoughts all free of charge. I was in the market of buying an aftermarket exhaust for my Lamborghini Gallardo. The owner of this…read moreshop Dustin B. responded to my post in a FB group and offered a used system. He stated that he would practically be giving it away and would very likely be the lowest price for that exhaust. But he then quoted me a price of $2,900 for an exhaust that retails for the (now Covid inflated) price of $4,100. I was surprised to see this kind of pricing for a used system, especially when the same exhaust was offered to me by another legit seller for only $800. After showing him the seller and his offer he then came down with the price to $1,390.50 shipped because he stated it has been sitting in his garage for a while so he would be willing to go down on price. However, if I wanted to pay via a secured method like a credit card I would have to add 3% to the price. Apparently this guy doesn't know it's illegal to charge customers credit card processing fees. Anyways, I asked for an invoice but let him know I am reviewing other offers as well. A day later while I was running errands on a busy Saturday, he messaged me on FB saying that he had packed up the exhaust and it is ready to ship if I made the payment right then and there. I read the messages but I was driving so I didn't reply right there and then, especially if I had explained I was looking at other offers as well. I understand he wants to make a sale and be a little pushy however, what came next was just weird. He followed up a little bit later the same day with an angry message saying that I should have the 'decency" to at least let him know if I wanted to buy the exhaust since it shows that I've read his message. He basically accused me of giving him the runaround. I told him I was running errands and he needs to relax. That didn't help either, as he got even more angry and that he should expect to receive a prompt answer despite having been told that I am reviewing all offers received. At this point all I could is respond with a laugh emoji since I have never seen a business owner act like this. But wait, the laugh emoji pushed him even further. After seeing that he stated he would post his exhaust up for sale publicly, indicating he had reserved it for me even though it has been collecting dust in his garage since forever and I just met him virtually 2 days prior. He would also tell everyone on the FB group to not waste their time with me. Well Dustin, I have to let the millions of people who use Google and other online review sites know how aggressive you act towards people and hope nobody will ever make the mistake of wanting to buy anything from you unless you have undergone some sort of anger management classses or let a trained sales rep handle your sales.
