They must have weapons behind the counter because; HE TRIES YOU!!. Someone is just not going take their sh** one of these days. I noticed, and experienced he has no problem in just turning people / potential customers away if you ask too many questions about YOUR Vehicle; simple everyday repairs. I just wanted to leave review not for a particular experience, but over the years of how has treated myself, my mother, my girlfriend, and even my sister. We've taken probably at least 8 different cars. Always helped us. Lucky is a hard-working man. We just got brakes and rotors and a oil change. We had all the parts so we just need the labor. One Shop said $400, I went to Lucky and I paid 200. He completely shattered the price in half and it was done in an hour. I respect Lucky. read more

I've been going to the shop for awhile. Their services and workers are fabulous!!! They even treat their workers great like family. They are trustworthy and prices are great not like other auto repair shops that are money hungry where they're over priced or scam to fix things that don't even need fixing. There are times I'm waiting in the lobby, I've met customers who are children from parents that had been going to the shop for years. They really value their customers. I took my car there for bad vvt seals, after waiting 2 hours the leak was still present and they broke my dipstick and would not take responsibility for it. They did attempt to fix the seal a second time and still did not seal it properly. would not do business there again. $244 down the drain. I went to Luckys in December when my (not even 3 year old vehicle) was overheating. Lucky said it needed a radiator and I paid. 3 weeks later, cars shaking and emitting smoke from the tail pipe. I took it back and Lucky said it had a cylinder 3 backfire. Paid him. Less than 24 hours later its doing the EXACT same thing. Lucky begins to gaslight me saying that this isn't happening, until I turned on the car and showed him. Lucky then immediately knew it was the head gasket and said he could fix it but at that point, I didn't want him touching my car. The dealership has told me that it (surprise!) needs an ignition coil (exact same one i paid lucky 680$ for) as well as probably a brand new engine. 6000$. Lucky put an aftermarket radiator as well as incorrect coolant which caused my engine to overheat, and makes my warranty invalid. absolutely do not recommend read more

Do not take your car here they will purposely f*** your car up in order for you to pay more money I wish I seen the reviews before I took my vehicle here I paid over $1,800 within a month taking my car to their shop basically every week since the first time I've been . They fixed one problem and new problems occurred . The last time I went they didn't put oil back in my car even though I had it sitting in the passenger seat when I pick my car back up I noticed the oil was not touched so I assumed they use their own oil . Driving for another week my car engine locked on me . They refuse to pay for their mistake even though their policy is for them to repair things that they used with their parts . One of the most pathetic shops I have ever been too. Lucky may seem like a nice guy, but the entire staff is full of schemers. I was recommended to go there but eventually realized they were just after the money. Also noticed the two owners speaking punjabi and trying to hide stuff from the customers. dont think they are honest nor reliable. I was told i need to get my brake pads changed early this year. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I brung my fairly new bmw over for a state inspection and they failed it saying I need to get my break sensor changed. Once that was done at another location, lucky and the crew didn't like the fact that I didn't get the work done from them so they decide to make me play a waiting game to get my car reinspected. At this point my car is past the 1000 mile mark for the free reinspection so they want me to pay full price for the inspection again which is horrible.. Ajmal Akbari is the only inspector at the location and his attendance is horrible, he comes in when an if he wants and he likes to take a hundred cigarette and lunch breaks which is unacceptable.. word from the wise don't get anything done with them... read more

Folks, this is the first time I am writing a review for a business. I normally don't have time to do that. My experience at Lucky's was so terrible that I decided to give them a review. I wish I could give them zero stars. I really hope this place goes out of business soon. Our car broke on a highway not too far from Lucky's. We had it towed over there as this was the first place that came up on my search. We were told by Dee and his father that we need to leave the car as they don't have time to check the car today. Dee told us that an inspection would cost us $88. My brother and I made it clear to him that if there were any additional costs, we wanted them to call us first to let us know before they start working on the car. The next day, my brother gets a call from Johnny, who says the car has been fixed and we owe the shop $438. Needless to say, we were astonished. Not only did they not call us to let us know there would be additional $350 charge, but also they couldn't even properly explain what exactly they did on the car. When we came to the shop and explained Lucky, the owner, that we never got a call and that they were in violation of the uniform commercial code, he said that he doesn't care about any laws and that we either pay the bill or get out of his office. He even threatened us that if we leave without paying the bill, he would call the police and report robbery of our own car. After an hour or so argument with Lucky, we paid the bill just so we could take the car. But, we are in process of suing this guy and his shop. It is not just a matter of money, but also of principal. I value my time and if I am writing such a long review and in process of suing him, you can tell how horrendous my experience was with his repair shop. If my review saves even one person from dealing with Lucky, I will consider my time well spent. I really hope that no one will have to deal with what we did. My name is Margaret H. I am Lucky Auto repair shop for almost 14 years. Such a great place for auto repair. Lucky and his partner Dee are honest, do not try to push customers into unnecessary repairs. Prices are fair, service quick. This place is always very busy ( no wonder ) . Owners and employees go extra mile to satisfy customers. They even offer lift home if needed. let me mention also Andy - who always gives great advices ; John at customer service ; new employee ( forgot his name ) - big guy with long moustache. Extra plus - they are open long hours and also on Sundays !!! Sometimes I take my car to jeep dealer ( I have free oil changes ) and they give me estimate on whet should be done on my car - usually it is quite pricey. Then I take estimate to Lucky Auto Repair and they either fix what needs to be done for half price or inform me that some of the repairs are redundant at this point. The team at Lucky Auto Repair Shop is excellent - I was towed off of 695 on my way from DC to Philly, and they waited for the tow truck (with my car and me!) to show up at 6:30PM on a Friday. He showed me the underside of the car, educated me on what was going on, and a few of the gentlemen offered to drive me to a nearby rental car place. I ended up getting a call by 12noon the next day, describing the issue in full detail and with utmost politeness. Turns out some work I had done two months ago was not done properly, and he went above and beyond to fix it. When I returned on Sunday, Lucky gave me his cell phone number so I could call him and he would come - when they were closed - to open the shop, process my payment, and give me the keys. He charged me a reasonable fee and gave me information about what I should tell the other repair shop about the issue. I am grateful for their flexibility! read more
