Atlantic Veterinary Clinic has been our vet for over seven years now. They are some of the best veterinarians and technicians I have ever come across. They are so fun and caring. Whatever fits the atmosphere, that is what they are and that is what they give you in their customer service. They have been with us through some really hard times. Times that no pet owner wants to go through, but sometimes the inevitable occurs . I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate group of people to surround us during our time of need. They made us feel like family and they made our little one feel like family as well. They've been there through the fun, goofy check up times as well. My little old lady Willow stopped eating and drinking water on Sunday. Trying to find a Vet that was open near by was pointless. I saw this Vet opened at 9 this morning and I called immediately. They said they could see her so off we went. The Vet and Technician was so caring and compassionate. The results weren't good and I had to make the horrible decision of Euthanasia. My heart broke but I couldn't let her suffer. Thank you all for everything you did to make it pain free for my baby girl. Highly recommend. read more

Today we went in with our dog pretty sick. The Vet Tech Kat and Dr. Nancy were exceptional. Their patience in an awful situation put me at ease. They were thoughtful, caring and compassionate. They didn't rush us or make us feel as they wanted to move on. They were both friendly and gave me so much info. I'm thankful for their kindness and makes me feel so thankful. When we left it was pouring and Claire in the front got us towels and covered us. What an amazing staff. Being able to diagnose a terminally ill animal and not put the animal and family through the traumatic decision and taking the animal 2 days later to an Emergency facility only to be told that prognosis was poor. Why didn't the vet at Atlantic on physical exam find that the animal was terminal and in distress? Not to mention what we have been put through. We have been in the area for a long time and many pets and vet visits. We found Atlantic when they were in smaller building and then they moved across the street. This time we went and had our 2 Goldens. Love Love Dr Yost. and the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and you can tell authencity in this care. We learned more about care of our Goldens today than most vet visits ever and truely appreciated the time, care, knowledge, and instructions. We have found our Vet for our Goldens .I greatly appreciate a Vet that does not just push Pharma drugs...I think we are being pushed into too much drugs humans AND our pets! Am new in the area and it took a month to get into see this Vet. Both my dogs had been sick with intestinal problems since we arrived here a month ago. While I waited for the scheduled appointment from Atlantic I had to take them to the Emergency Vet. After lots of costly tests and medications neither dog improved. Finally on my appointment day at Atlantic I got in to see the Vet who also did lots of costly tests and gave them both more medications. After 10 days on this medication my Dogs were still having intestinal problems. When I tried getting them back into see the Vet I was told there was no openings for a week. Couldn't believe they couldn't get me in since dogs were under her care and needed to be checked since the medication wasn't working. Made me so angry I took my dogs records and left!! Luckily found another Veterinary service with lots more compassion then people have at Atlantic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone read more

While we've had good and bad visits here, the most recent visit ended up being the worst. I know it's a business' right to deny service, but I find it very unprofessional to screen shot a review, pin it to a file, and deny service. Especially when the bad service was on the business. And the fact that the vet didn't immediately call/email to address their concern and tell us their decision is appalling. They waited until their services were needed to tell us. This location doesn't have the guts to handle criticism which is highly unprofessional and they care more about their reputation than the animals they deal with. **they're also ungodly expensive. Excellent vet with reasonable fees. I was on vacation and my dogs eye became infected. I called numerous vets and none would fit her in. One recommended Atlantic. I called and was told to bring her right in and they would fit her in. The vet tech and vet were wonderful. We had a very pleasant and speedy appointment with our fur baby! Our cat woke up with a closed and runny eye so we were very concerned. When I called, Lori was very very sweet and fit us in on a busy Saturday even with a short notice! We were seen an hour after my phone call. Dr. Fell was quick and knowledgeable and friendly! I will say the tests were more expensive than I thought it'd be but pets are not cheap! We will definitely be returning if our kitties have any further issues! Thank you! read more

Sadly my love for this place has taken a 360. Since they moved to a bigger location this place has really changed and not for the better. Yes the new spot is beautiful BUT looks are not everything. They only see you as a dollar sign now. The customer service is REALLY bad now. They could care less about your pet and more of the money. My wife went to pickup some flea medication and they only would give her one because they said they needed to do a physical on my Molly which they see her all the time because she gets a shot (for itchy skin) like every 3 to 4 months. And the price for the shot goes up $5 every time we go. We spend a lot at this location so o don't understand why they couldn't just sale me the 3 months worth of flea meds. It's ridiculous! And not to mention that my wife saw this crying young man holding his dog crying for help because the dog was not breathing. But they were to concern about my wife paying her bill than helping this kid out which was awful. That alone makes me not trust this place with my own pups. Who wants their babies treated poorly for crap service. I'm now in search of a better place. The flea meds are $30 for 1!!!! The shot is over $70 and the last physical she got was $60 which I'm SURE it's way more now so do the math! Wayyyyy too much for my pocket! read more

I am new in town and we had an emergency and had to go back to Michigan. I called the office and they were able to get me right in. That was great but the best part is I really love the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming. The dr got on the floor with my babies and was so gentle and explained everything. I have found my new vet. read more

STAY AWAY!!! That's the best advice I could give any fellow animal lover/owner. We went to this Vet's office on the recommendation from family members that had been clients for many years and for the last 2 years we'd been pretty happy, we thought Dr. Kathy Fell was AMAZING, but over the last few months that changed drastically. It started with going in for the last few appointments and being stuck with a "relief vet" after specifically scheduling with Dr. Fell. Then phone calls started being ignored and messages were never returned. As if that wasn't enough, the staff we had grown familiar with and had an established relationship with, suddenly disappeared and were replaced with a whole new staff, NOT for the better! The final "nail in the coffin" happened today when my husband took our year and a half old black lab in to be spayed and was told it would be $700!!! When I scheduled the surgery I was told it wouldn't exceed $500 and I was promised an estimate via email that was never sent. Yes, I checked my junk folder, trash, etc. it was never received and I know they have our correct email address because we verified it with them. When my husband took our dog in for the pre-op blood work a week ago he requested the estimate AGAIN but was put off and told it would be emailed, still we received NOTHING! I called multiple times this week to try and get the estimate but wasn't able to reach anyone on the phone, something that has unfortunately become the "normal" over the last few months. Then, as I stated before, my husband arrived this morning with our dog for the surgery and was finally nailed with this outrageous estimate! My husband called to tell me what was going on because he knew the price he was being quoted was WAY over what we were initially told so I called to speak with the office. I spoke with the office manager, Kim, who was very rude and unapologetic for the entire situation and REFUSED to let me speak with Dr. Fell. After I told her this quote was highway robbery and more than DOUBLE what other vets in my area had quoted, she said they were refusing to do the surgery at all and the call ended with her hanging up on me! My husband, who was still in the office at this time, requested to speak with Dr. Fell but was told she wouldn't speak with him and that our business with them was terminated. To add insult to injury, he was then threatened that if we ever called or emailed them again there would be severe consequences. I'm disabled, my husband is our only income, and he had to take the day off work UNPAID just to deal with this fiasco. I don't know what's happened to this office but it is not the same business we started out with, it's gone straight down hill these last few months. They have become inconsistent, rude most of the time, difficult to get on the phone, and the actual vet we had the working relationship with, Dr. Fell, has stopped speaking directly with the patients so the only option has become the extremely unprofessional office manager, Kim. The staff is so incompetent that they couldn't even trim my dog's nails at the pre-op appointment but they had NO problem charging us $16 regardless! On top of everything, we were driving an hour away from our home to be treated like this...in 41 years of owning animals, I've NEVER been treated so poorly. After all of this, I called a vet's office much closer to my home and was quoted less than $300 for the same surgery AND told there's a foundation that will pay for a small portion of the surgery since we now live in Lake County! Although we've been inconvenienced today, maybe we're the lucky ones in the end because I no longer trust Atlantic Vet to safely take care of my dog and that's sad to say. If your fur baby means anything to you, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere because it's not worth the risk. Updated 10/10/18: Met with NEW practice today, Atlas Pet Clinic in Clermont...EXTRAORDINARY!!! Staff much friendlier, received estimate for surgery immediately, altogether BETTER IN EVERY WAY! I highly recommend Atlas Pet Clinic! Also, went through records requested from Atlantic Vet and found information NEVER given to us yet in our pet's chart!?! So the great clinic. I was skeptical based on some reviews but definitely don't pay any attention to those. Based on my experience this vet is amazing. All of the staff was very friendly and very compassionate. I brought my dog and because she was having some stomach issues, they were all very patient and give me a lot of advice, and let me know everything and anything I could do for my dog while she was recovering. Hi Folks, i would not bring a stuffed animal to see Dr Fell , we brought our Cocker Spaniel in for a check up and to look at his eye that was red. Dr Fell sent the Vet Tech to tell us he is fine and gave us eye drops... we called several times in a week trying to reach Dr Fell to tell her his eye is getting worse and again the Vet Tech called us and said to give the drops time to work and Dr Fell would call us back (she never called) we then took our dog to an eye specialist in Orlando who said it was to late to save his eye his lens detached from the eye and he would have to remove it to relieve the pain our dog was having.. we were shocked and heartbroken i felt i let our baby down. that was our experience with Atlantic Veterinary in Davenport Fl. I've had really great experiences with all of the staff and vets at this clinic. They are great with making my cat feel as comfortable as possible during visits and check-ups. They also do a great job of talking through treatment/payment options in an understandable way. Being able to utilize an app to request and confirm appointments has been very helpful also. Definitely no do not take your fur baby there. Dr Wong did nothing but look for things that were never a issue with our previous vet cleared her. Dr Wong went up my dogs but and said it's red I said she just took a crap outside. I came in for ear infection she didn't look in her ears at all quoted me 991.00. Run people run read more

Convenient yes; expensive very. How many times do I have to bring my pet with the same problem over and over again? They just don't get it. Every visit is around $200 with the same meds and same bull... Oh sure it clears up but it's back again in a few months. Twice I had to go back for an injection I was charged for and forgot to administer during the visit. They keep tossing expensive meds, ointments, and shampoos in your bag that you don't need. $350 for teeth cleaning, right. I found a vet who charges half their price. Oh Alex the groomer, right. He left my dog with a clipper burn on his neck and said nothing. Two days later this huge scab forms from this burn. I called and they said to put neosporin on it. That's it. No apology no nothing. See ya & I'll never be back along with my friends. read more

I've been looking for a new vet since my terrible experience with Banfield. My cat Pandora was under the weather and both cats were due for shots. I was able to make an appointment a couple of days later at the time I needed after work. Everyone was friendly and the exam rooms were large. My cats were able to wander around the room and explore (as cats like to do). Pandora rarely lets anyone but me handle her. She's had issues at the vet in the past. They took her to the back for her shots and she was good the whole time. Although she did give them the evil eye. lol The vet took the time to really talk to me and explain everything with Pandora's aging and possible issues she could have because of her age. I didn't expect it to be cheap. Vets never are. But it's something that needed to be done. I'm glad I found a new vet so close to home. read more

I have never experienced such compassion at another clinic. We are from Canada and had a serious emergency with our dog. The veterinarian (Dr. Kathryn Fell) and amazing technician Kelly worked after hours to save his life. We finally took our pup home after 1am. They stayed there the entire time with him. This is an animal hospital that truly cares for you and your pet. They know what they're doing- and they do it well. I highly recommend them. They do not gouge you like other clinics. One of the office staff complained to me how busy she was and how she wasn't going to get to eat lunch (when i called needing to put my 17yo cat down) Dr fell is great worth my 3 dogs. No problems with her. Took dog to get groomed by Alex. Picked her up and she was bloody, with chunks of skin missing. Never again will he touch my baby. read more

I recently took my Pug/Terrier mix Riley to get his nails cut and groomed at this Davenport clinic. Although a little out of my way, I was recommended to Alex, one of the groomers. The clinic itself is bright, inviting and almost pediatric looking with a tons of cartoons and a huge fish tank to entertain the waiting room. I had to run some errands so I dropped off RIley early in the day and Alex was kind enough to call me when he was ready. Because I was so far from the clinic, he actually waited for me to arrive way past the closing time. I was very happy with the way they cleaned Riley and would definitely go back even if I have to drive a little to get there. read more

This place deserves negative stars. They tried ripping me off by claiming my dog had injuries I knew were not there. They actually clipped my dog's ear for no reason after I asked to see the injuries they claimed needed suturing. Worst of all, they actually clipped my dogs ear with no numbing or sedation. They literally held my dog down and tortured her to try and charge me for sedation and suturing. I am just sick over it. Horrible horrible horrible read more

Ive been in Florida for 2 years now and have had my share of veterinary clinics that didn't help me or my pet in the least. When I was home in Virginia I had a vet that felt like family. I know I can't speak for everyone's experience but I was very impressed with this veterinary clinic. They were super busy today and I did have to wait a short time but they were warm, inviting, very knowledgable and they kept in contact with me during my wait. The doc told me everything they found and didn't try to over sale me on medicine or supplies. I like that they can fill your prescription in the clinic so its a one stop shop and the price was very reasonable. Im going to take my other two dogs there for a check up and rabies shots when they are due. I would highly recommend this clinic. Also, parking is great and its not far off the interstate. read more

We made an appointment to discuss our cat's final care after a diagnosis of terminal cancer. The day of our appointment, we arrived early and waited almost an hour because they had double booked appointments. We were directed to wait in one of the exam rooms which was hot and stifling and very uncomfortable, especially given the dire circumstances. When the vet finally strode in, she offered no apologies and showed no consideration or sensitivity for the circumstance. When we complained about the bookings, she refused to accept responsibility for her staff or the half hour delay that we'd experienced. in fact, she suggested that she didn't need to listen to our complaints and had other things to do. Her complete lack of sensitivity and obvious deficiency of compassion was graphically exhibited at that meeting and I suspect that it translates into the type and quality of care given to animals. Clearly, her staff have some competency issues as well, a fact that was reaffirmed when one of her techs came into our room looking for our cat in order to weigh it. Apparently no one told him that our appointment was for a consult only and he was surprised to learn that we didn't even bring our cat to the clinic that day. The vet has the personality of a prison guard and the manners of a lumberjack. By far, the worst, rudest and most obnoxious clinic I've ever experienced. I wouldn't trust them to look after any animal. read more

Earlier this year, we took our cat there because he was weak and wasn't eating. With only a brief looking over and no X-rays, thier vet pronounced that he was ok and had probably eaten something that didn't agree with him. They gave him fluids for dehydration and sold us special cat food to entice him to eat. He was better for 1 day. The day after that, I came home and he was laying on the floor, almost dead. I rushed him back to AVC. This time at least they took x-rays. After looking at them over & over, the same vet said that there's something there in his abdomen but she couldn't tell what it was and she'd have to send the X-rays to another vet to look at, and she should here something back later that afternoon. More fluids, more food. Waited all afternoon for a phone call; nothing. So I called 10mins BEFORE their closing time, but not answer. It just rang. Stayed panic-strickened all night. Called first thing the next morning and they said they hadn't heard anything. Waited til lunchtime & called again. Sounding annoyed, I got the same story. I asked if they could call the other vet while I was on the line? "No." Frustrated, I drive my poor cat 15miles to another vet. They felt his abdomen and without any x-ray immediately told us he had a growth and and looked at the copies of the x-rays from AVC (another ordeal). Long story short, he had developed a tumor buried deep in his abdomen. Small chance of surgery being successful, especially on a 8yr old cat, with a long, painful healing process and no saying it wouldn't come right back. We decided to put him down. He was our first pet together and the most painful decision we've ever made. I wrote a letter to AVC telling them how disappointed I was with them. They couldn't have changed his condition but their lack of care and knowledge was stunning, particularly for a common pet like a cat. We recieved no acknowledgement or apology at all. Then, yesterday, when I checked my mail, I get a reminder card to bring in my now dead pet for a vaccination?!? I cried for an hour. How insensitive and careless can you be? I didn't leave any review for AVC after the fiasco but having recieved this postcard trying to siphon more $$$ from me, I felt it necessary to let others know exactly the quality of ppl there. read more

We moved to Davenport about 5 years ago and wanted a local vet for our two cats. AVC was just up the road about 1 mile so we gave them a shot. We took our cats in for their annual visits and shots but never had any serious issues. All of those appointments were just fine. Our one cat suddenly started having convulsions one night and in a panic we called AVC to rush her over. They told us they were closing in about 10 minutes and would not be able to see her!!! I told them we were only 1 mile away but they would not see her. They recommended some 24 hour facilities we could use. Meanwhile, my cat is now panting and looks about to die. We ended up calling Veterinary Health Care Associates in Winter Haven. It was about a 35 minute drive to get there and they immediately admitted our cat. They were so caring and compassionate. Unfortunately, there wasn't much they could do other than give her some medication to alleviate the continuing mild seizures. We brought her home and she passed about 2 months later. I don't believe that AVC could have done anything additional to save her but their compassion could have gone a long way! We have a new cat now and continue to make the drive to Veterinary Health Care Associates. read more

I have gone to Dr. Fell now for almost 5 years which is the length of time we have lived here after moving from NJ. I can't say enough about how great she is and how kind and helpful the staff is. My four furry kids mean the world to me. She has helped two of my babies cross the Rainbow Bridge since I've been here and everyone there was so compassionate especially seeing how devastated I was. I went to the vet I had in NJ for forty some years and it's very hard to leave a vet after all those years. However, I am so grateful I found Dr. Fell. She is great and the practice is less than a mile from my home which makes it even better. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. read more

This week I Realized I had to stop thinking about my loss and sadness, At the prospect of having my elderly dog put to sleep, And do whats needed to be done to end his pain and suffering, Cooper was Blind, Hearing impaired, Lame in his rear legs as well as having a number of tumors on his body. I made an appointment at Atlantic Veterinary Clinic to have him put to sleep, They gave me a time to be there and a price that would be a final out the door price, I arrived on time and was told the price would be $ 80 more than what was quoted, I explained I had this all arranged in advance but to no avail. At no time did anyone make so much as eye contact with me, And it became very clear it was all about the money, They showed no compassion at all, And the young woman I spoke to was rude as well, I am 68 years old, This dog was everything to me, All I can say is if you expect to be treated well and perhaps a moment of compassion, Then you would do well to avoid a visit to the Atlantic Veterinary Clinic. read more

They give a Disney discount which is great. They also took in my orphaned baby squirrel, however! They were trying to take a sample of my fancy rats tumor without any kind of anesthesia. I didn't find out until later that this was not ok. read more
