    Wine and cheese hour !

What a find! Sweet retro beach hotel right on the sand in Dewey Beach. Off season rate made it a steal. Too bad they are closing in October to renovate. Front desk person couldn't have been nicer. Hope to go back in the Fall.

I absolutely loved this place even though my husband and I didn't get a ocean view we were still able to get a floor that had a deck to go sit outside & look @ the ocean. Beautiful location , very private and secluded which we loved a lot. Prior to us coming I emailed asking if they do anything for recently honeymoons they said yes , when we arrived they was two glasses , a bottle of champagne and some chocolates . We thought that was very sweet & loved that very much. We aslo loved the fact that they had breakfast, a social hour of chesse & crackers along with wine & cookies . Unfortunately we were was always on the go so we missed out on having breakfast & missed out on those delicious cookies. Definitely come here & enjoy the views sit back & relax.

The view from our 1st floor ocean side queen room.

A very enjoyable stay. Having stayed at the sister property in RB (Avenue Inn) for several years, we decided to give the beachfront Atlantic View a try. Overall we were pleased with our stay and the location on the beach can't be beat! Several times we walked to RB, which was only a mile or so away. The price for a beach front room over the long weekend was far below anything available in RB. We booked and stayed in a first floor ocean view room. The room was appropriate sized with two queen beds, TV, mini-fridge and table. The room was clean even though it could use some updating. The bath products are good quality and replenished regularly. The bath towels are a bit thin, but that is a minor detail and if you want plush towels stay at a $$ hotel. The beds were comfortable! We were able to hear noise from other rooms, but this was minor and the quiet hours were strictly enforced. The highlight of the first floor room was opening the sliding glass door, stepping out on the shared deck, and the beach/sand dune was right there! On the deck each room had two tall adirondack chairs. Yes, you can't see the waves breaking, but you can see the ocean and beach! We loved sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, and watching the sun rise every morning! (see photos) Access to the beach was only about 10 steps way with complimentary beach chairs provided by the hotel. Other amenities were the complimentary breakfast consisting of mini-quiches, french toast bites, potatoes, cereal, and fresh fruit. 24 hour coffee service, wine and cheese at 5:00PM and chocolate chip cookies at 8:00PM. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Atlantic View for the location and price it is a solid value for a hotel in this category range.

The location. The waterfront room with balcony. Alisha at the front desk was so warm and inviting. We were a late checkin and she offered to wait for us. Her customer service was exceptional. Parking was good. The chocolate chip cookies were such a pleasant touch. We are already plan our next girls getaway to come back and stay here.

Highly recommend!! The staff is phenomenal!! The lady that checked us in even offered to take our picture and she was so funny! They came in the mornings to ask us if we needed towels or washcloths. The view is incredible and this hotel is right on the beach. Only takes you maybe 5 steps to get there. This hotel provides free parking on their lot. Offers happy hour with cookies and they also offer a breakfast that you can choose the time to pick it up. They offer a pool in the summer time. They have an ice machine, laundry for customers, and a snack machine. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back when it is warmer!

It's conveniently located to the shops/restaurant and the beach- within walking distance. The staff is welcoming and helpful. It has street parking, and a parking garage for guests only. The hotel boasts of a beautiful indoor pool and restaurant. The restaurant/bar Sirocco is very elegant and was completely full both nights of our stay. The pool is nice and heated, but still chilly in cold weather - though my kids didn't seem to mind. The doors open out to a nice rooftop patio in nicer weather. There is a small gym, though I didn't get a chance to go look at it. There are some points of improvement: - we left our room at 8 in the morning. When we came back around noon, it had not been visited by the cleaning staff. When we left and came back again around 3, it had been visited but only stocked with fresh towels and the trash was taken out. Our soiled towels and some dishes were still on the floor/sink. When we left for dinner, I mentioned it to the front desk attendant at 530. He was very apologetic and said they would send someone up to address the issue. When we got back at 8, our soiled towels were gone, but that was it. The beds were not made, and there were still old dishes on the sink from the night prior. - I pulled out one of the clean (or so I thought) glasses from the cabinet in the room and noticed it had a bunch of finger prints. So I pulled each and every one out of the cabinet and was surprised and disappointed to see not only fingerprints but LIP prints on all of the glassware, as if they had been put back dirty after multiple uses. I cleaned a glass in the sink with hot water and soap for my own usage, but that's less than optimal for a Hilton affiliate. Other than that, a great family visit at a nice hotel. We talked to the assistant general manager Cyrus and he was great with service recovery for our two small complaints!

On Friday's if you are over 21 they had complimentary Orange crushes. Not sure if this is every Friday or if it was just for a special event that was going in at the hotel when we stayed here. The staff here are friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is spacious and clean. They have a big sitting area with tables and chairs and tvs. This is where people eat meals. If you are a guest you get a free breakfast. The breakfast is nothing special by the way. There were eggs, sausages, cereal, bagels and oatmeal and a few other things. I participated in the free breakfast for my first day there and I was not impressed at all. It was the same when I stayed at another Hyatt place in another state. The eggs were pretty bad and the plates, bowls and silverware I first picked up were all dirty. I had to go through 2-3 to finally not get a dirty one. There is a pool and a gym in this hotel which is great. I did not go swimming while staying here but saw the pool area. I did not get to see the gym though. The room as you can see from pics are spacious and have a little living room like area with a couch. And a little wall that kind of separates it. My mom and I were sleeping in different beds and both of us could not sleep due to how itchy and scratchy the sand was, on top of feeling like we were sleeping on dirty sheets. When we brought this up to the front desk, they said they could give us new sheets, so we put new sheets on top of these soiled sheets. This wasn't a viable solution but that was the best they could do. I would expect a beach hotel would have better cleaning for sand soiled bedding and would pay more attention to sand but I guess not. Overall this was a pretty disappointing experience. Paying hundreds for two dirty beds was completely unexpected. The only redeemable quality of this hotel was the free EV chargers which we took advantage of for our Tesla and the continental breakfast which was delicious. But it's hard to enjoy anything when you didn't get good sleep the night before.

Complimentary lobby coffee is available 24/7, so there are no coffee makers in the rooms. There's also a big game room with dozens of board games. They have an indoor pool and sauna, and an outdoor hot tub. Our hotel room was quite large, with a huge flatscreen TV, a work desk, a king-sized bed, a sofa, and a coffee table. The in-room Wi-Fi and the satellite TV worked great. The bath was on the smaller size, but it looked brand new. The shower had plenty of hot water and the only nitpick was maybe the pressure from the rainfall style shower head could have been a teense more forceful. We had a nice private balcony overlooking the street and their street level firepit and seating area. The overall location is great, just a very short walk to the boardwalk and beach and within hundreds of stores and restaurants. The daily breakfast was stellar -a bounty of pre-made omelets, Sausages, Baked pears, Cereals, Oatmeal (with mix- ins like nuts, chocolate, granola, seeds, coconut), Pastries, whole and cut fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, hash browns, and ham slices. Our off-season rate was a little over $100 a night, quite a good deal for the hotel's luxury and services. Guest service was excellent at every encounter we had.

The hot tub isn't big but it's fine for a few people and great to have right next to the spa. The parking is free on the off season and once you're in, you can easily walk a few blocks to the beach or all around town. I hear they have a shuttle but we never needed them. The room is very big and we enjoyed the small balcony just as a feature. On a warm day you want to just enjoy snacks and a breeze I can imagine it is wonderful. We enjoyed the fireplace. The bathroom lights were a bit complicated but the tub was enormous and luxurious for a soak! The coffee nook with fridge was perfectly outfitted and great for storage. The room lights were a bit flickery but not a major issue. Paying for the higher adults only floor was WORTH IT! They keep the snacks area ready with basic chips and cookies and the cooler with sodas and water and refresh it all the time. The sitting room with its own fireplace is super cozy and you can play a card game or build legos being away from any hecticness. Plus afternoon cookies, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were not to be missed! Those were great to take as a dessert after dinner or relaxing in the room. I bet in the warmer months the outside terrace is great to enjoy for reading. The bar service was good, whether you wanted drinks or meals things came out decently in good time and well done. I think the prices are very reasonable. The area has so many great options but if you just want to stay in you'll be fine! The breakfast experience was fine- the omelet stations were good but really did take a long time. Maybe just a lack of experience. Good selection of everything and while the bakery station had a variety of scones and muffins, they weren't always fresh tasting and the fruit wasn't much a variety. They will sometimes fill up and you'll have to sit in the cold conference room rather than the cozy vestibule. So go early if you want all the best options and won't be rushed. I can imagine this place is always busy but in the off season months I absolutely recommend this to any couple or single who wants to get away- shops are still open, restaurants still active, and the beach is still refreshing!

No towel bars in the bathroom. Poor water pressure. Walls are thin, so we could hear people in the next room and in the hall. Tiny pool that seemed murky (?) and had sand in it. Hot-tub looked like a good place to get electrocuted (it was taped together in places, missing covers on parts. Maybe it's perfectly safe, but gave me pause. There is only one elevator, so I'd advise taking the stairs, as it can be a wait. There is a $15.00 charge to park per day (which is cheap, I think), but I missed that when booking, so was a little surprised on checking out. Maybe remind guests of the fee on check-in? Also, while we had our own chairs, so we didn't need it, the Bellmoor charges to rent beach chairs. I can see taking a deposit, but charging just seems cheap.
