This completely remodeled hotel is a hidden gem in Dewey Beach. There was plenty of free onsite parking. Jason at the front desk was friendly and checked us in quickly. The room was ready on time and exactly what we booked. The room was clean and exactly as pictured in the photos. We booked the ocean front room so that we could sleep to the sound of the waves and watch the sunrise from bed. The beds were super comfortable and I slept like a baby. The Nespresso machine in the room was fantastic. They also had coffee in the lobby and a full complementary breakfast. The lobby and deck areas are great places to hang out. They offer free beach chairs to borrow for the beach. We also enjoyed the lounge chairs by the pool. We enjoyed the music in the outside areas. They have happy hour in the lobby at 5pm with draft beer and hot hors d'oeuvres. Don't forget to stop back at 8pm for warm cookies. Once we parked the car, we never moved it again. This hotel is a short walking distance from the Dewey Brewing Company, Starboard, and other restaurants. We saw dolphins from our balcony and I found sea glass on the beach right in front of the hotel. Insider tips: They do not have an elevator. Book a dune view room on the first floor with an expanded private deck if you cannot walk up steps. Leave the kids at home - they don't have sofa beds or roll-a-way beds. read more

The Atlantic View Hotel is a charming boutique hotel right on Dewey Beach. The place just went through an entire renovation, which created such a positive experience during our stay! From the pool, to the proximity to the beach, we had access to everything we wanted for our trip. The staff, including Tamikea, were so helpful and inviting. The bed was unbelievable and SHOWER!!awesome!!The room is perfect size and clean for something that's right near the ocean ,you think it would have some kind of musty odor and it does not. Check out this view right outside my room which is amazing. I wish it wasn't off-season. They would have a place we could lay out and walk to the beach all day. I might start saving my pennies and stay a weekend next summer. I suggest this for anyone if you just want to spend the weekend in Rehobeth. Plus, rehobeth ave is like a 3 minute drive. I absolutely loved this place even though my husband and I didn't get a ocean view we were still able to get a floor that had a deck to go sit outside & look @ the ocean. Beautiful location , very private and secluded which we loved a lot. Prior to us coming I emailed asking if they do anything for recently honeymoons they said yes , when we arrived they was two glasses , a bottle of champagne and some chocolates . We thought that was very sweet & loved that very much. We aslo loved the fact that they had breakfast, a social hour of chesse & crackers along with wine & cookies . Unfortunately we were was always on the go so we missed out on having breakfast & missed out on those delicious cookies. Definitely come here & enjoy the views sit back & relax. read more

A very enjoyable stay. Having stayed at the sister property in RB (Avenue Inn) for several years, we decided to give the beachfront Atlantic View a try. Overall we were pleased with our stay and the location on the beach can't be beat! Several times we walked to RB, which was only a mile or so away. The price for a beach front room over the long weekend was far below anything available in RB. We booked and stayed in a first floor ocean view room. The room was appropriate sized with two queen beds, TV, mini-fridge and table. The room was clean even though it could use some updating. The bath products are good quality and replenished regularly. The bath towels are a bit thin, but that is a minor detail and if you want plush towels stay at a $$ hotel. The beds were comfortable! We were able to hear noise from other rooms, but this was minor and the quiet hours were strictly enforced. The highlight of the first floor room was opening the sliding glass door, stepping out on the shared deck, and the beach/sand dune was right there! On the deck each room had two tall adirondack chairs. Yes, you can't see the waves breaking, but you can see the ocean and beach! We loved sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, and watching the sun rise every morning! (see photos) Access to the beach was only about 10 steps way with complimentary beach chairs provided by the hotel. Other amenities were the complimentary breakfast consisting of mini-quiches, french toast bites, potatoes, cereal, and fresh fruit. 24 hour coffee service, wine and cheese at 5:00PM and chocolate chip cookies at 8:00PM. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Atlantic View for the location and price it is a solid value for a hotel in this category range. read more

We have stayed here for the past 10 years and I must say whenever we chose to stay elsewhere we have missed it. The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, The views of the beach are AMAZING! It is on the quiet end of Dewey, people are friendly and introverted, dogs are welcome on the beach as well. There is no boardwalk which is refreshing for meditation, prayer and mindfulness. I love it here!!! The hotel provides cheese and crackers and evening wine as well as these great cubed potatoes with sweet peppers and rosemary in the morning for breakfast! The only thing i do not like is the child-size toilets in the bathroom, they will be renovating in 2023. Very welcoming Staff, they are so warm and friendly!!! This is a great place to stay for amazing sunrises to be seen. read more

Mother/Daughter mini vacation after COVID-19. High touch surface areas were not kept clean. There was no elevator, so the steps were a high traffic area - they were filthy.. we were there for 4 days, & a piece of twine was on one of the stairs for our whole stay (not sure how long it was there before or after). "Continental breakfast" was a joke.. nothing but soggy mini muffins & fruit. "Manager" Laura was sitting in the middle of the hallway, on the floor folding clean towels, which was not only unsanitary, but also a safety hazard to guests.. all while another employee was being run ragged because it was check in time, & she had no help. The lobby was pure mayhem, & I felt so terrible. They also do not offer a military discount. read more

This hotel boasts that it is on the beach and that is true (it's a long walk down to it). There is no elevator and rooms on the upper floors are difficult to get to with luggage. The stairs are steep. The pictures on the website are misleading. It looked like the room we booked led right to a deck with an ocean view. In reality we had to cross the hall and the room had no view at all. The room was tiny, you could barely turn around in the bathroom, and the furnishings were old. There was a definite musty smell. The breakfast was inedible and the wine they offered was definitely from a box. My biggest complaint, however, was that they offered us a 25 % discount on our entire stay when the hotwater heater broke and then just gave us the discount for one night. I played phone tag with the manager for over a week until she finally agreed to what they had promised, and then she never refunded my credit card like she said she would. I had to complain to my credit card after waiting almost two weeks. read more

We selected this based on other yelp reviews The staff was very friendly and accommodating; the check in process was easy and quick. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!! The staff is phenomenal!! The lady that checked us in even offered to take our picture and she was so funny! They came in the mornings to ask us if we needed towels or washcloths. The view is incredible and this hotel is right on the beach. Only takes you maybe 5 steps to get there. This hotel provides free parking on their lot. Offers happy hour with cookies and they also offer a breakfast that you can choose the time to pick it up. They offer a pool in the summer time. They have an ice machine, laundry for customers, and a snack machine. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back when it is warmer! read more

On a solo birthday escapade to find the ocean I stumbled upon this hidden gem. The Atlantic View was my last stop during a 7 day hiatus from my noisy hometown New York City. I spent 3 short nights in a room that surrendered a panoramic view of the Atlantic ocean from the balcony 24/7. I am really missing this place right now. The staff is excellent, kind, attentive, and working smart to keep guests safe and well accommodated through this pandemic. We were able to pick up individual breakfast bags & wine at night, on the house. The cookies are so good. Jason the manager is friendly and knowledgable. I cannot wait to go back. It's too bad they are closed all winter, else I'd be there in December, too! This place is a real gem, literally a secret paradise. You can't get any closer to the ocean than this! There are also really good restaurants nearby selling the most amazing lump crab cake - Woody's is #1 and right around the corner. read more

What a find! Best small hotel we have found in quite some time. The hotel is ocean front so that there is nothing between you and the water except the dune. The rooms are extremely well maintained. The front desk staff is super nice. And the breakfast is much higher quality than we had expected. Parking was ample when we arrived. They have a nightly wine, cheese, and cracker reception from 5-6pm which is kinda cool. The 4th floor has a viewing deck so despite which room you choose you can go upstairs and check out the ocean view. The hotel is within easy walking distance to quite a few restaurants and a brewery (which has surprisingly good food for a brewery). First floor rooms get a dune view. Second floor has balconies with an ocean view but you cant see the waves hit the beach. I heard that third floor you can see the waves hit the beach. Fourth floor rooms overlook the viewing deck so they don't have a direct view of the ocean. Our room was on the second floor and had a king bed, fridge, microwave, and Kurig style coffee maker. The hotel has beach towels and chairs that you can use during your stay as well as a very small, but cute and functional, outdoor pool. Oh and a TV and hairdryer of course. In summary we would definitely return. read more

Stayed a couple of nights off season and enjoyed our stay immensely. Helpful staff. We had a fourth floor room on the ocean side by the sun deck (remember there's no elevator!). The rooms are a little dated but clean and had most everything we needed. Tiny bathroom but serviceable. One suggestion is to add more/usable electrical outlets. Not easy to find a spot to plug in your phone or other necessary electrical devices. Complimentary wine/cheese & crackers, chocolate chip cookies and lots of choices for continental breakfast. Beautiful location just steps from the sand. Pool was nice but not warm enough for us to try it. Lovely sitting out on the sun deck listening to the roar of the ocean and watching the night sky. We recently stayed at the Atlantic View Hotel. Let me first mention what I liked about the hotel. The location is fantastic. The staff is nice and helpful. Each night they do a wine and cheese event with warm cookies at 8 p.m. I also appreciate their focus on providing a quiet environment with zero tolerance for partying or late night noise. This is truly a family resort. On the flip side... our room didn't meet our expectations. The rooms are dated. They don't have central air... our room was temperature controlled from one AC window unit. The room was humid... even though it wasn't particularly hot (mid 80's last week). It was difficult to get the room to be the right temperature (too hot). Also, the beds are old and uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to get home as my back started to hurt and I had general soreness. Also, the room is smaller than expected (we had two double beds). The bathroom could also use some updating. So it comes down to location vs. comfort. Are you willing to sacrifice on comfort for a prime location? I would consider other options next time to Rehoboth. I had hoped for more. read more

An outstanding breakfast, consisting of fruit salad - cut up strawberries, melons, pineapples, grapes, plus soft bagels/cream cheese, danish & coffee cake, miniature muffin eggy casseroles, cereals, juices. Enough choices to satisfy and a great way to start off the day. For $5, take the nearby trolley to Rehoboth - only 15 minutes away. Didn't bring a beach chair? No worries, the AV hotel has you covered. There's even a small pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after baking in the hot sun. Lots of good eateries nearby. read more

Nice refurbished older hotel. Very clean. Nice free breakfast. There is plenty of hot water and the shower pressure is strong. The location is excellent. The hotel was very quiet at night-no loud parties-which you find at RB hotels. I highly recommend it. Coffee, tea, and lemon water is available 24/7. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. The only downside is the lack of an elevator- so if you can't carry luggage and climb up the stairs, stay away. read more

First time staying here, but this place is great. We had a room facing the beach and it was outstanding. It is a very quiet hotel and a great getaway for a couple or family. It has a surprisingly good breakfast with pastries, eggs, juice and bagels. (Tip: If you want to take breakfast back to your room, use the Ice tray) If you are looking to party, this isn't the place. This hotel is quiet and right on the beach. We stayed on the deck level oceanside which has the advantage of not having anyone above and quick access to a large rooftop deck. Close by, you have Sunrise for breakfast (opens at 6am) and Woody's for sandwiches. We went on off season and the price was reasonable for what you get. I've booked this hotel for 2 summers and have had no problems. The complimentary breakfast is good, the staff is nice and helpful and the rooms are clean. The location is also great with it being right on the beach and across the street from a strip of restaurants. The balcony on the top floor is also amazing. The only problem you might run into is parking but we've been lucky every time so far. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely make it my go to for summers to come! read more

I'm going to give this place a 5 Star rating because it's one of the better hotels I've ever stayed in at any beach, it's right ON the beach, and it's clean. To give you a idea on what clean means to me; I typically bring Clorox wipes on vacation to sanitize gross things in the room like remotes, light switches, toilet seats, etc. I didn't even feel like I had to use them in this room. Other positives: The staff here is very friendly, they have free cookies at 8pm, the walk to the beach takes seconds, the pool is nice, and it's walking distance to several restaurants. I was concerned that it might be a "party" Hotel when I saw a bunch of "bros" on the rooftop patio hanging out, but the place has been relatively quiet all weekend so if they are partying it up, we haven't heard any of it. I've seen a lot of couples walking around that look to be around the age of my parents (50-60s) which is a positive for me because I know (most of the time) they aren't typical the demographic having raging parties in the room next to us all night. read more

I love this place!! I stayed here twice, once in May & the other in June 2019. Very homely, friendly, and clean. I had a room overlooking the beach, just perfect. The room and bed was also very comfortable and clean. The entire facility and pool were also spotless and so nice to use. The staff was incredibly friendly.
