Part of the view sitting in chairs on the walkway in front of room. Wasn't aware of this and this isn't in hotel photos.

New beds, comfy. Great location. New floors. Crummy big rooftop view...they can't help it, but it's a disappointment. Do NOT set the fridge above a 5 setting, it will stop working. Occasionally a loud bang, not sure what causes it. Happened while sleeping too. We were on fourth floor, FYI. Choose a different floor.

We had a wonderful 35th Anniversary getaway to Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Becca at Admiral on Baltimore made me relax at my choice for this special getaway for the two of us! We had a beautiful sunrise to witness on our anniversary morning. Our room was very clean neat and comfortable. Due to old reviews, l played it safe. l brought cleaning supplies, my own sheets and towels. My Lysol as well. The rooms were great and l didn't need them at all, but l lightly touched up for my own peace of mind! Housekeeping is Great!! We enjoyed The indoor not so heated pool too...This hotel has a great location on the Beach by a few steps. It was also located within a blocks distance from The Blue Moon where we had a memorable Celebration dinner! We also had Cooter Browns BBQ and A great Pizza spot my hubby found for lunch. I visited the nearby outlets and had a great Cracker Barrell Breakfast as well on Our Anniversary Morning! Free Safe Parking! Elevators! Ice, Luggage Carts! and Snack easily accessible This was a pricey choice l initially felt! But l am glad we chose it! Please consider this property for a wonderful Choice when visiting Here! This is an adequate hotel. Let's start with the good. Can't beat the location. It's right next to the boardwalk where all the action is at. Once I parked my car here, there was no reason to get back in my car until departure. You could walk to a ton of restaurants and bars from here. They say check in is at 3 PM, but our room was ready at 2 PM which was nice. You have the option to park your car under the shade in the garage if you choose which is also a plus. Now for the bad. Marks on the wall, Air conditioning is a little loud, and the toilet/shower situation isn't great, felt very cramped, especially if you are somewhat tall. They have 2 soap dispensers on the wall, but the shampoo dispenser was empty. The TV worked, but there were several lines across the TV, so it wasn't optimum. All in all, don't expect a great room. The location is what makes the place good enough. They charge a lot of money and it doesn't look like they are making any capital improvements to the hotel. I get it, summertime is their prime business season so the price is going to be high, but they could do more to make the room a little nicer.

Clean, inviting hotel with outside entrances. No cleaning staff during your stay due to COVID19. They clean after you leave. No frills place, but very comfortable bedding. Half block off boardwalk. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient location.

This is a complicated review. Driving up for the first time, it was very confusing about where you park to check in. We visited after Labor Day, so actual parking spaces wasn't the issue. We just couldn't tell where the front desk was located because its poorly marked. At check in, our reservation wasn't listed. We it late the previous night. But the clerk was friendly and managed to find it without much additional trouble. Emphasis on the friendly, here. Everyone was quite friendly. The place needs a serious makeover, which they acknowledge on their website. We stayed on the 5th floor facing the ocean. This is the best location by far. The room was just fine. Not fancy. You could tell some thought had been put into where to make improvements. The room was clean and large and the bed was comfortable. The view is absolutely amazing. You have a full boardwalk and ocean view from your room, with adequate - not fancy - seating outside your room. It's a great place to sit down, relax, and enjoy the view. You also have a great view of the sunset. We only stayed one night. We'll stay longer next time. The friendly service and close proximity to the boardwalk and ocean are the main selling points. We got some really good suggestions from the front desk. You are not staying at a fancy 5-star chain hotel. But they are very good at being what they are - a friendly, economical location just steps from the beach.

I stayed at the Admiral for two nights with my children, four year old and an 8 year old. The first night we were there, my son pointed out that there was food left in the fridge, there were ants in the room, and the rest and all over the floor. In the morning when we came back to the hotel housekeeping was on our floor and I calmly mention to them the issues we had seen, and put it out of our minds. The second morning when we woke up, there were hundreds of ants crawling all over me, all over the bed, all over the floor. When we checked out I very calmly and respectfully told the person at the front desk what it happened, and he responded thanks for letting me know and that was it. Not an apology for the experience, not anything. I asked if somebody could call me about the experience and nobody did. When booking.com asked for my review I gave an honest review and I submitted photo evidence. Instead of calling me, the manager left a review in response saying that the ants were from Candy my children had left on the floor and Juice ahead spilled in the bed and that the room was in a disgusting state. If there was candy in a drawer I had no knowledge of that. If there was juice spilled in the bed, probably? I have a 4 year olds. At the same time, I don't expect ants to come crawling in my own home where there is candy and Juice constantly everywhere. I managed to clean it up and I managed to keep pests out of my home. I called the front desk this morning to say very calmly and very respectfully as anybody who knows me can attest to, that I was really disappointed and really hurt that was their response to my experience. Mike, the person I was speaking to, proceeded to yell at me, he said I was disgusting, he called me a liar, he said I was acting childish... I kept repeating very very, and softly why are you yelling at me why are you yelling at me? And he said he's because he wasn't going to talk to me and then he hung up on me. Let's forget about the issue of waking up with ants crawling all over me. Let's assume that there was candy in the room and that is what they were attracted to. Even though I expect to be able to leave candy out in my hotel room for a few hours without being covered in insects, more than that, I just can't wrap my mind around why human being would eviscerate customer like that. I don't think it is unreasonable to be able to say "hey... There's thousands of ants crawling everywhere in this room and maybe somebody should look into it" Without being yelled at and name called by the people I paid over $500 to spend two nights with for the pleasure of waking up to a nightmare of insects crawling on my body. I'm not accusing them of being terrible, I'm not calling them names or being an upset or unreasonable or unruly customer, I didn't ask for a refund, nothing. All I wanted was to share this experience with them, and be validated with some kind of concern. But apparently that was too much to ask for, and I was made to feel like a horrible person for even bringing any of it up. I'm sure many other people have a wonderful stay at this hotel, I'm sad and that I'm walking away not just feeling like oh my God I just woke up with hundreds of ants crawling all over me... But also feeling like wow, I just had a boatload of hate dumped directly on me. My character was attacked and I was told I was a substandard human being because my kids left candy in a drawer, and I complained about ants... Which by the way, you will see the hundreds of ants in the pictures and video we're not in a drawer. They were on the floor and on the bed. And again! I'm sure there are many people who sleep in hotel room so you don't spill anything on the bed or on the floor, I am not one of those people because I have two small children, but I travel quite frequently and I always pick up after myself, and in the cases where I've missed something I have still never had the experience of waking up with hundreds of ants crawling on me because of candy or juice being out in a hotel room. So I want to thank you to the staff at the Admiral on Baltimore. I want to thank you for making me feel so horrible today. It's going to be my goal that every person I interact with the rest of the day, ee treat them with kindness and respect so that no one I encounter is ever made to feel the way that you and your staff has made me feel. I wish you nothing but the best in your personal life and in your business, and if nothing else I hope that you got some insect exterminators in there as soon as possible so no one else experiences this. In the future, it goes a really really long way to just say you're sorry to someone for their experience if they communicate they had a negative one. You can judge for yourself whether you see juice in the bed in the attached photos. I personally didn't see it, but I've been wrong before. Still, it shouldn't warrant hundreds of ants crawling on me while I sleep.

This is not a 5 star hotel, nor does it claim to be. The bathroom is small but the room is regular sized with 2 queen beds. We have chairs and a small table outside our door. The one thing I wasn't thrilled with is that the door open to the outside. I feel less safe in a hotel like that. On the flip side we do have a partial view of the ocean. Also we are less than a block from the beach and the boardwalk. We got an amazing deal on the room. It's not quite peak season but most everything is open. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend this hotel. It is a GREAT value!!

We stayed here for a short family trip with our toddler and enjoyed that proximity. The hotel has on site parking which is convenient and included in the room cost. It also has a few spots reserved right near the lobby entrance for check in we didn't know about in advance but you do now. Due to the proximity to the beach, we were able to get on the beach very early sans crowds, see the sunrise, go get breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, walk part of the Boardwalk, then go right back to the our room to clean up and take a nap. The convenience where your money is going if you opt to stay here. I would say that the front desk service is just ok, esp when you're paying pretty handsomely to stay here. For instance, the hotel advertises that you can reserve umbrella/chairs with a 10% voucher so I called from our room, spoke to the same male receptionist twice then the next day made our way to the receptionists in the lobby. The lady I spoke with proceeded to ask me if who I spoke with. I normally try to remember names but this particular one had not identified himself and I had made the last minute judgement call not to ask. When I asked why that mattered, she said we were supposed to pick up vouchers in the morning. Nowhere does it say that nor did the male receptionist mention this the two times I called. Nor did I understand why that mattered since we only wanted to use the umbrella/chair for less than two hours late in the day. Finally, she proceeded to look for the umbrella and chair vouchers. Even the box labeled "chairs" only contained umbrella vouchers. So basically what was supposed to be a 2 minute endeavor turned into a much longer one. To top it all off, no one was manning the umbrella/chair stand at either of the two kiosks we tried so after we spent a short time on the beach we asked for a refund with the lobby receptionist on our way back in. That employee we spoke with offered zero apology for our inconvenience or anything like that. He gave us an absolutely deadpan look then said he'd refund the charge. I'm glad he did but again, for the price you're paying for these rooms, you'd expect a bit more customer service. There's a vending machine in the lobby for which you can use your credit card to buy stuff like bottled water, wipes, sunscreen but we found a nearby convenience store (RB convenience on Rehobeth Beach) within pretty easy walking distance where the water was in larger quantities and cheaper. The restaurant and pool on site are convenient although the pool was out of towels a few hours before they closed and those were not restocked although I did see an employee bringing over towel disposal bin for used towels. Overall, the price you're paying here is for proximity and convenience, not for the customer service. The interior is a bit dated (hallway carpets could use some freshening, etc). Our room did have a microwave and mini fridge although the website only advertised it having a mini fridge. I recommend staying here if proximity and convenience are what you prioritize.

We got a spot there and never moved the car until we checked out. It was actually preferrable to us to have it below ground and protected from the elements - and also from non-guests who might otherwise vandalize. Our room - oceanview - was absolutely oceanview. The only bummer being we overlooked the pool - which was always PACKED during the day (and noisy). However, we did have a lovely view of the beach. That worked out great as our last evening they had some life guard competitions on the beach and we could see it better from our balcony (2nd floor) than we could from the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out of the room. We were able to rent the beach chairs and umbrella through the for a 10% discount. We got passes we presented to the actual vendors. I highly recommend you go down before 8:30 am and get the vouchers to stand in line at a vendor tent at 8:30 when they open - to avoid long waits and get a good spot on the beach. The room itself was fine. We had 2 double beds. Linens were clean but the towels were not the best. They looked new but were not soft. Room had all the basics - large fridge, microwave, coffee machine (K cup) and OK sized TV with pretty good stations. They have a restaurant on site as well as a little coffee shop. Nothing is free (no complimentary breakfast). We packed our own stuff so we were all set The room was pretty quiet and fine for sleep. I think the only downside was the price. Costs are so much higher this year or maybe here - compared to what I paid prior years for other beach boardwalk oceanview rooms. The boardwalk was decent. A fair number of classy restaurants for us to pick from. Prices were high but perhaps that's the area. They had cheap food, too - as well as souvenir and beach shops. All in all, the hotel was exactly what we needed. A good location on the beach with everything we needed without having to drive anywhere. I found this place to be better than some of the reviews I read prior to booking over the winter. But we usually find places acceptable and more like the positive feedback than the scathing reviews. I recommend this place and would most likely stay here again - as opposed to the limited other options we saw in the area. However, this is not our favorite boardwalk so we won't be back. Our favorite is Wildwood so that's we're were headed next now that we've tried all boardwalk beaches.
