The wave pool is kind of cool however it is pretty narrow, and they allow kids to be extra rambunctious in there, which makes it more of a danger than anything. Multiple times I've been there, the lap pool has been closed, which has a rock climbing wall, which maybe could be cool but again it's always been closed. It's the only pool deeper than 3 1/2 feet. They have a small lazy river which could be fun however all kids have to be in a tube and that's just not for everyone. There's a sign on the locker room that says little boys six and under aren't allowed in the women's restroom... Maybe people are fine with that but my six-year-old son is too small to be alone. Also, the biggest turn off is that you have to pay even if you aren't swimming. My kids are smaller and so obviously need a parent, but I don't need to be in the water with them, and you still have to pay, regardless, which is just annoying and kind of a rip off. It's just not where I would choose again.

The courts are first come first serve per the Thornton Rec Center Employees and website. Moments later, an older woman came over and rudely told us that singles play wasn't allowed and we needed to play doubles. Not only was her tone unnecessarily harsh, but she insisted it was a "rule," despite there being no signage or clear policy anywhere stating that singles games were prohibited. If there is an empty court, people should be able to play how they want. The courts are supposed to be first come, first serve, but it seems like a group of older regulars have taken it upon themselves to control who plays, how, and when. It felt more like we were intruding on their private club than participating in a community activity at a public facility. We're all for shared use and following actual posted rules, but this kind of gatekeeping is exactly what drives new players and younger participants away. It was a really disappointing and unwelcoming experience. They need to make it so these courts are reserved. Otherwise the other facilities are great! There is tennis courts, bocce ball , a splash pad, horseshoe pits and great walking paths.

Luckily, I visited the Atlantis Pool and Spa website and discovered that they offered a 'Drain and Clean' service. Holy smokes! Some of the best money I've ever spent (and it wasn't that much!). The tech and his partner, wife maybe came out poked around a bit and told us they could not do anything unless there was water in the hottub but sent us an estimate anyway for 12k to replace motors, fix the leak, etc. We told them we decided to go another direction and they sent us a bill for $600 for EDUCATING and EVALUATING our system. We did go another direction and the cost to fix the leak was $600 not 12K. These people are actual scammers. Do not have them come out for a service without asking first if they are charging you and how much. I am going to fight this bill as many others have been scammed by this company and it needs to stop

The sites are slow and not well designed, both of which lend themselves to their dropping you mid-attempt to register. Pointlessly very frustrating to have to start again three times before getting all the way through. The Bay and the rest of the Broomfield rec centers are not connected City entities?! What?! The equipment and pools are good. I especially appreciate the choice of water temps, and the first class lap pools at the BCC.

Had a positive experience from the start (Derek at the Castle Rock location), to regular status updates to/from CSR (Barrett at the Denver location), through delivery/setup (Chase/Rex/Andre from the Denver location) through follow-up and troubleshooting (Derek again, and Evan at Denver location). FIve stars all the way through! Additional detail for exemplary review: Spa was initially wired by an independent licensed electrician (NOT associated with Colorado Custom Spas) who made enough mistakes to render the spa dead in the water (no pun intended), which became apparent immediately after filling. When the issues were reported to Derek, his immediate concern was the sub-freezing temperatures that were expected that night. He personally drove from Castle Rock to Elizabeth after hours to deliver a submersible pump to ensure the components didn't freeze. He also arranged for Evan to come up the following morning. He inspected the initial wiring (again, NOT done by an electrician associated with CCS), came up with a fix to provide heat and circulation immediately, and provided input on the other errors he identified that needed to be addressed for safety reasons. He also provided input to the previous electrician to ensure that corrective action was taken care of by the party that made the errors. On top of all this, he called back the following day to check in! Typically, not a user of social media to either torch vendors online with negative reviews, or give glowing reviews when either is not warranted. In this case, however, I thought I would be remiss not to recognize exemplary customer service, especially in a day and age where this seems to be a foreign concept to many businesses.

We did have one small needed repair and Joe spent an entire Saturday evening running around and getting it taken care of before a snow storm came in. So much so that it leaks down the alley! I have called Dave and he will not answer any questions or met me at the site to review issues. I have contacted an engineer and his initial review is that the pool has major structural issues steming from the installation. The owner is in the process of filing a lawsuit against this company. I would highly discourage using this pool company for building your pool or spa.
