I had the unfortunate luck of having my car broken into while out for dinner in the Heights. The thieves tried to break into the front window first, but since they are tempered, it just cracked the corner. They then went to the back window which shattered easily. Sadly, this happens all over Houston and if you leave anything out in the open, the odds are they will get you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I immediately put in a quote request using Yelp and got messages back in a decent amount of time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Atlas wasn't the highest rated out of the companies, but their prices were very good and they were able to get me in next day. I chose not to file a claim with insurance as the deductible was higher than the cost of the windows. I showed up to their located in Southeast Houston. It's an old shop with a lobby that isn't the most comfortable. I waited on my vehicle which took a lot longer then they originally told me. I paid when the job was done and was given instructions not to roll down the windows for a few days, and that they cleaned out all broken glass. In typical Justin fashion, I took them for their word and went on home. Upon closer inspection, there was still glass remnants all around. When I did roll down my window, it would not go back up. I called and was told to bring the vehicle back. Right away, they told me it was not their fault and that I would need a new motor and regulator for the window. I was told I could buy the part and they would do it for me. There is no way I can confirm that it wasn't their fault, but my vehicle is pretty new and I know those parts don't fail that easily. We came to get out windshields fixed cause they had several cracks. They were able to help us right away for not that long of a wait. The glass has been sturdy for me and my husbands car so far. We got the glass replaced about a month ago. They give you the option of waiting at the site or getting a call back when the car is ready. Rules: no car wash for 3 days and no taking off the tape they put for 24 hours. So if you have a dirty car take it to get cleaned before getting your window repaired unless you don't care We weren't to sure what was to much for windshield replacement but we paid about $200 (each) for a Chevy Equinox and Honda Civic. read more

Brought my 2015 Yukon Denali to get some info on why my sunroof is leaking. First the guy forced and man handled everything. Ended up putting a break in my headliner and bent the plate inside so now I have a huge gap between my headliner and headliner console. They didn't fix a dang thing and then said my drain was cracked, but couldn't show no proof of anything of what they were saying. I ended up leaving with my stuff looking worse than when I brought it in. The value of the job was worthless workmanship. I brought it to a different shop. The fixed everything for me and fixed what Alta's glass bent and broke. Definitely would not recommend this place for sunroof issues. read more

Their price was great. Coming from Dallas suburb, I paid $300 for driver windows (sedan) 3 yrs ago in Dallas. They came to me. Took them 10-14 min di Dallas to replace the window. Paid $115 for window tint. Took off the old glass window and installed new one 3 yrs ago. Now , 2021 Our minivan got broken in. Atlas asked for $189 window (driver side, minivan) plus $40 for tint plus taxes. Cheap price! Took them 45 min (don't understand why that long, we were the first customer). I brought my car in to get my passenger door glass replaced (2015 Subaru BRZ). Soon after, I had issues with the glass not rolling down fast enough when the door was opened and the glass would hit/catch my car chassis (its a frame less wndow)window. I took it back in to the south Houston location where this work was done. They told me since it wasn't an issue with the glass itself, they couldn't do anything about it and to take it to the dealership. Dealership found that the regulator assembly had missing and loose fasteners as well as a missing vapor barrier. The fasteners missing and being loose compromised the regulator assembly which would amount to a $754.90 repair cost. The missing/loose elements leads me (and the dealership) to believe poor workmanship is the cause of the window issue. I called customer service but was told that since the issue isn't with the window itself, they will not do anything about it. I held out in ordering the parts until i spoke to this business and see if they would compensate me but that does not seem to be the case. So I'm out of pocket almost $800 due to the work that was done by this business. read more

I honestly do not know where to begin. I had to replace the whole windshield on Sunday and found this place open and had one more left in stock for my vehicle. I've had many friends have this done within 20 minutes. Unfortunately it took about an hour to replace. At the end of the day, they were open on a Sunday so I mean.... an hour still is not bad. My main issue is with the installation itself. Unfortunately due to the 24 hour tape policy I did not get to inspect the car when I left. Fast forward to 24 hours later, as I removed the tape there was a huge scratch on the drivers side and even more on the top of the passengers side. This is unacceptable, and for them to know they damaged my car and said absolutely nothing about it tells me everything! Where's the integrity? This is just a bummer. I was literally going to write a well deserved 5 star rating and review, but this........ I'm so sad. read more

I took my car here to get my rear window replaced after it was broken into. They didn't clean the glass out of the door, and they left cables unplugged within the door which made my door handle inoperable. The window replacement is good, keeps the water out and everything. They just fell short on the basic stuff that should have been done right in the first place. read more

My driver side window was not responding, just open a bit. Iconsider myself a handy guy, so I took off the door panel and tried to tinker with it but it was no use. I had to have a garbage bag taped over it while I called around to see who could fix it... for a good price. I decided to go with Atlas. Not only did they know what they were doing, they knew what I had done! They even asked me, "Did you try to fix this?" Haha yes, I did. They said it was no problem and could have me out as soon as possible. I was on my way in 30 minutes and was charged a really fair price. It might seem like a small job, but they really impressed me. I had my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder front windshield replaced here around the middle of last year 2021. Everything went well and I was on my way. 2 weeks ago my wife informed me that there was a crack stretching from the side of the windshield. I was in contact with Scott today who informed me that they offer no type of warranty and insisted that something must have happened for the glass to crack. It's pretty apparent that it was never hit and is stretching from the trim in the picture I attached. I still gave 2 stars because Scott did offer me $50 off if I brought it in to them to get replaced again but still seems a little costly for something I just paid for last year. I went in a couple of months ago to get a windshield replacement due to it leaking After a few days with they windshield they installed its continued to leak i went back and told them that it continued to leak and they just installed more glue but it continued to leak I took it back payed for a new windshield again and asked the guy if it was corroded or if it had rust under it and they said no that everything looked pretty good and that should do it after 2 days it leaked again so I decided to take my car to a body shop and they took the windshield off just to find that all of the top lip was corroded and thats where the waster was coming in from had to pay $700 plus to fix my water leak on my project read more

First and foremost I want to go out on a limb and say that I honestly didnt think there were anymore kind and honest people in a big city like Houston! My driver side window was completely off track and wasn't fixed properly by the previous shop that worked on it. When I first arrived the owner came out to meet me personally and got straight to it. Asked which window and for the keys! After taking it to the back and a short while later he came back and told me that it just needed to be "glued" back on there correctly. He charged 60$ for the repair which was actually done right this time! Very friendly staff, fast and efficient and very well priced repair. Have been there twice both times due to vandalism to car windows on the weekend at night. I called the shop the next day, Sunday morning the first time and Saturday morning the next. Both times they said come right in. The second time I had aftermarket tint on the passenger's side window and the tint guy was there to add it. Friendly people. I was told the $950 replacement windshield was HUD compatible. Nope. It was not. Paid difference for $1100 OEM windshield. My total over four (4) trips was more than $1700. First, a defective or counterfeit windshield was installed. Second trip, installed the OEM windshield. Third trip, wind noise (could not hear my radio...). Fourth trip, wind noise and now a water leak. Leak and noise fixed. But, popped the hood. EVERYTHING had been tossed back in: microfilter boxes, the trays they sit in, cowling missing hardware, rubber trim pieces.... Are you kidding me? I just dropped $26 for missing hardware. The manager told me he had told the tech three times to be careful with my car because I was critical of any work performed on my car. Question: if he had to tell his worker to be more careful than usual, and I have these results, what kind of work is being done to everyone else's cars and trucks? I will not be back and recommend others to look elsewhere for glass replacement. read more

I just started calling the Yelp list for price quotes and availability. The only place that had the auto glass I needed in stock was Atlas Glass Co. I had my windshield replaced and during the process of my windshield being replace my dash was damaged, i could see where in places the rubber seal wasn't flush with the truck and i had horrible wind noise. I had another glass company come out and correct it for me and they did it at no charge. Terrible experience. I dropped my vehicle off at 10am and was told it would be 2 hours. I assumed they meant 3, so I gave my number to call me when ready. At 2pm (4 hours) I had not heard anything so I went up to the shop and they told me 45 more minutes and that they would call me. Also, throughout the day I called no less that 8 times and no one ever answered. So, I had to keep driving up there to check. That cost me about 2 hours of drive time. Anyway, no one called me so I drove back up at 430pm (6.5 hours after drop-off time) AND THEY WERE CLOSED! They are listed online as open until 530pm. So, my car was locked up inside the building and my son needed it the next day for work. I walked around the building trying to get my car and it was locked a full hour before closing time. Fortunately, I found a technician in his truck about to leave. He said my car was inside and he showed me but it didn't even have a windshield! He said I could call the owner and tried...multiple times. No answer and of course voicemail was too full. The owner texted me that he would get a technician up there to help the other one get it installed but that was a lie. The present technician was honest towards me and said no one was coming. So I ended up helping him to install the windshield. What am I paying for at this point? I regret to say that I DID end up paying for the "service" but only because the technician was nice and honest and I was hoping this went to his paycheck. This is a very dishonest place and I highly recommend finding a different place for windshield repair. I paid $340 to drive two hours, be ignored, face undue stress of having my car locked up that my son needed, and then installed my own windshield. read more
