Karma to degenerates who broke my car window this week. Luckily, my good friend and insurance rep David N was able to refer me to Uni Glass. I called them up, told them my make and model and they gave me a quote. I drove up there, waited and hour and the window was replaced for $95 total. They vaccumed up the shattered glass that fell inside the door, but it wasn't a 5-star job. I can still hear some glass when I open and shut the door. Hence, 4-star rating and not a flawless five. Know before you go: :: They are cash only. There's an ATM onsite, but I'm not sure what the transaction fee is. :: There is an indoor waiting area, but it's rather dingy and stuffy. There is absolutely no outdoor seating. So, bring your own chair? (I always keep 1-2 camping chairs in my car, so I waited outside and worked off my own wifi.) read more

Woke up to a shattered vent window. My mechanic Luis from Tire Store Service Center directed me to Uni Glass. I went in there expecting to wait hours and to my surprise it took about 10 mins. Good cheap place to get your car windshield or car windows replaced! I would call to get a quote from them first because prices varies from car to car. I was quoted $110 (w.o tax) to replace my front windshield which is cheap compared to the $200+ quotes I was getting from other places. The wait can be up to an hour but if you come at the right time and there is no line than you can be in and out in 10 minutes or so. Beware one of the guys that work there is very hard to understand on the phone...so be patient! read more

So, this place FEELS sketchy as hell, but it's actually not bad at all. Driving to this place takes you through an LA-esque neighborhood; basically "el barrio". Also, the drive entrance to the shop is small with a steep curb, so be careful backing out. I'm writing this review after using their services twice on two separate vehicles. The first time I used Uni was after it was suggested to me by a mechanic I use for my European import. After calling around to other local glass shops, Uni was by far the best priced and actually had the correct glass in stock. I took my car there and talked to the old guy behind the counter. He shouted at the staff in the workshop and they got started. I had to have the windshield on my car replaced due to some cracking at the bottom. The entire replacement process took around 50 minutes. I paid $160 for new glass and installation. This was MUCH better than the $225-400 I had been quoted from 4 other shops. The second time I went in to have a window regulator replaced on my other car. The experience was very similar. They took the part I supplied and installed it, no hassles. The installer was concerned about the part involved and let me know his thoughts. TBH, I was just trying to repair a stuck window on a budget, but I appreciated the effort. Labor charges were only $65, again much better than the $100-150 quotes I got from other garages. The whole process took 1 hour and 20 minutes, even though they weren't very busy. They run a no non-sense business, a real get-in/get-out place. CASH ONLY; there are numerous warning signS and even an ATM machine inside to emphasize cash; the ATM fee is $2.75. There is a waiting room inside with a coffee station, three worn out couches and an old tube playing basic cable access. Luckily, most of the staff speaks English and is decently professional. I subtracted a star because of the cash only policy and because there's glass dust and fragments LITTERING the garage. I'm afraid it could puncture someone's tire. I voiced my concern to a worker, but he basically blew it off. Be warned. read more

Received a competitive quote ($100+ lower than atlas and safelite) for a passenger side window for a Toyota Tundra that had been broken into. The clerk was very respectful and business staff were very professional. They prefer cash and offer discounts. Parking located across the street from the shop. They are located farther north. The owner does a terrible job of running this place. He didn't have my windshield in stock and after ordering it I never got the call that it came in. I had to call 3 times to make sure it was there. We agreed that I was getting a Carlite windshield which is what ford uses on their vehicles but after leaving the shop I noticed I had a "custom glass solutions" brand windshield. Normally I wouldn't care but with all of the rain lately my windshield wipers were really smearing the water making it much more difficult to see than before. This is the cheap option when going to get your glass replaced. You get what you pay for and in this case I really learned the hard way. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! read more

Extremely professional and courteous customer service despite being incredibly busy. The shop functions like a well-oiled machine, cranking out window and windshield replacements. I asked my body shop for a recommendation for headliner replacement and windshield repair. I had already called Oscar at Uni Glass and gotten a great quote. Almost too good to be true ($100). Then to have a direct referral to them solidified my choice to use them. I had gotten other quotes from other business for $300. The visit today went really well. Windshield looks great. So happy with our experience there. Oscar told us it would be a 30 min wait but it was closer to an hour. No worries! With the money I saved, I would have waited 4X that long if necessary. read more

We had a great experience here. Safelite quoted me $400+ with their first available appointment being a week after my window broke. We went here after reading some great reviews and were in and out in about an hour, and paid half of what Safelite quoted me. Everyone was really nice. They are cash only but they have an ATM in the office, which was great because I had read they were cash only and STILL forgot to get cash out. I really appreciated their work and didn't feel like we were being taken advantage of. read more

I had a windshield with long cracks and it was finally time to replace it! I called around to a couple places and they were all so insanely expensive and wanted me to go through insurance. I called uni glass and they fixed my entire windshield for $180 and I was able to wait around for 30 minutes! Didn't even have to leave my car there. Will be back and refer other here. read more

I needed a new windshield because it had a crack longer than your mommas back! Set an appointment and realized my truck needed a certain windshield because it's boujiee AF (or however you spell it). So, they ordered it and it arrived within a few days. It's a family owned business and the son that appeared to be 19 yo replaced my windshield within 30 min. Did I mention it a storm popped up and began raining cats and dogs?! I was worried the weather would effect the installation but, IT DIDNT! My windshield has been on with no leaks and no problems! ...I lied, another MF rock hit my windshield on the highway so, I'll be returning back to Uni Glass for sure! read more

Great place to get your windshield fix. It's cheap and great quality. I've been coming here for years whenever I need a glass fix. Recently, this time a huge rock from the sky came down and cracked my windshield. I had called my insurance company and other places to see how much it was going to cost me to replace the windshield. They had quoted me for $300 to 600 dollars. Uhm no! I rather save the money and spend it else where. So, I called Uniglass and they told me it was going to be $130. Woohoo! It doesn't get better than this. They only accept cash and check. So, if you need cash they do have a ATM machine available for you to withdraw. Went in to get a windshield replacement the very next day it rained and it was leaking dramatically, took it to get it fixed not replaced bc they want the sloppiest solution to everything.( while waiting there was someone else there getting a replacement and the contractors that they have ruined the gentleman car by breaking something on the inside. My windshield was cracked and I took it to Uniglass Houston 1500 Hopper Rd. A week later I took it home. Another week later the rearview mirror fell off and the wipers were making a strange sound, off and on. I took the car to Uniglass and they glued the mirror back on and said the wipers "are Ok". The mirror fell off again and the wipers still made a strange sound when turned on. I took it to Westside Kia and they told me the wiring had not been re-installed correctly when Uniglass installed the new windshield. "Windshield was replaced and harness that comes from the old windshield was not removed causing the wiper arms to hit against it, causing the noise". Kia had to remove the cowl panel and wipers to access the wiper motor assembly to untangle the wiring harness out of the wiper arms to stop the clunking noise. $243.88 later and the noise was gone. AND they glued the mirror back on! I took it back to Uniglass and "Ziv" said the "Manager" "Issac" would be notified. A week later I called again. "Issac" isn't there but "Ziv" asked why I had not brought the vehicle to them BEFORE getting the wipers repaired! I said I had no idea the noise was related to the windshield repair and I wanted them checked out by Kia this time. AND I wanted the mirror fixed! He said he would tell "Issac". "Issac" refused to reimburse us for the repair. Needless to say we will never go there again and I would caution others too. BTW: BE SURE to check every angle on the windshield-On the bottom right side the windshield is distorted. Uniglass told me they could not " see anything wrong". It definitely is distorted. read more

Had a 2010 BMW 325i. For some reason it attracted rocks from everyday driving on 59 and had several cracks. I had to get a completely new windshield. Although there are good reviews on here, I was VERY nervous about taking it to some random hole in the wall place in the ghetto. Yes, I have a BMW and should have money to go to a "fancy" place, but I like to save money, too. Other places were charging $400-$600. I called and they told me $175 and my cheapness was sold! However, after looking at online pictures....I was VERY skeptical because the guy didn't speak clear English and the location was sketchy. So, I told my mom and friend the address of where I was going in case I got kidnapped, but it wasn't that bad and I have no regrets! If you have a BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, or any high-end luxury car, do NOT be nervous or hesitant. It will be just as great as going to another place or the dealership just to say you did. Go here and save money. Bring CASH! They do not accept cards, at least on the day I went and their ATM fee is high, I paid it twice because the max you can withdraw is like $140. read more
