Took Kuaile Hanyu book 2 instead of book 1. Book 1 is more age appropriate transition from Chinese Paradise. I have been sending my kids to different Chinese schools before but my kids doesn't like them. Those school are all big group classes and they feel boring. Excellent Chinese school is a small group teaching class. There are no more than 8 kids in one class. The teachers are certified and use different approach to teach Chinese, which make the kids feel interested and love learning Chinese. Chinese learning is difficult so keeping the interest for the kids are very important. My kids' Chinese skill has improved since they came to Excellent Chinese school. I will keep sending them there for a long term Chinese learning.

While visiting with a very close dear friend of mine in Flushing I attended for the first time The…read moreFirst Baptist Church of Flushing. There are a mix of people there who come to worship in one kindred Spirit. I am caucasian and my friend is chinese. My Dad was with me too as we were in the area to attend a wedding the following day. We were greeted at the door and by a friendly couple who set in front of us who were from the New Hampshire area not too far from where one of my daughter's live in New Hampshire. The church service starts with am awesome worship team who seem to have hearts to magnify the name of Jesus. I was so encouraged to sing as the words are up on the large screen up front and all seem to be singing to the Lord. We were greeted by others also as there were opportunity during the service. Pastor Gary Domiano was Pastoring during this time as we were attending the english service. We were given an overview of what he was preaching on and continued in the Book of Jonah. Such a fresh new prospective. I would certainly recommend attending this Bible preaching , thought provoking church of wondering people. There was a fellowship following the service which I am sorry to say I didn't have opportunity to stay . I am hoping next time I will certainly be there.
