I had 2 other bids for granite for my kitchen reno and they came out to 4400 for one and 5100 for another. I wanted a L-shaped kitchen island with sink and 2 other pieces of granite for the main cabinets, one with a double sink. I provided my own Kraus sinks and wanted single-hole faucets. I walked into Atlas and was helped by a lady (forgot her name) who happened to grow up 2 doors down from where I was getting the granite installed. She sent me to a marble/granite yard off Dorsey road and told me to take a look and pick which ones I liked and she'd price it out. I gave her approximate dimensions so she could figure the sq feet and I was astonished at how cheap her quote ended up being....$2700 with square cuts all around or an extra $900 to have bullnose/rounded cuts for the center island. She did not BS me about what the costs include...she was very honest with me telling me that I'd need 2 granite slabs to do my kitchen (1 for island and 1 for the other 2 pieces) and even told me that I could have a bathroom vanity of 31" cut for a discount using the remainder of my slab (but i declined). She told me the slabs only run 200-400 each from that yard and the main costs are the cutting & finishing work. I signed the contract after hearing this as I felt I could trust this company, plus you can tell by looking in their workshop that they have some of the HIGHEST tech cutting equipment available. After signing the contract someone came out to get exact measurements & create templates for the cuts and a week later my granite was ready to be installed. I scheduled a day/time and the installers came and installed my granite, sinks, everything with no problems. The granite looks freaking awesome and 2 years later it still looks new. I've resealed it only once & keep it relatively clean but it still gleams when light shines on it. Hopefully this review doesn't sound suspicious but I can't recommend this company enough. I do most of my house renovations myself like installing my kitchen cabinets & doing the tile floors, mainly because I have a HORRID experience with every contractor I've ever dealt with. Atlas Stone is the first contractor I can't find a single reason to complain about and that is rare. read more

I wandered into this shop after damaging a brand new 36" bathroom countertop purchased through another vendor (full disclosure: I busted the dumb thing myself because i just couldn't let my perfectly fit 19 year son lift it on his own. What the heck was I thinking??) I must admit I was momentarily intimidated just a little by the framed big-name-magazine spreads of Atlas' high end work in historic and estate homes around Annapolis and DC. We spoke briefly with the very courteous rep that met me and my visiting dad at the door. She then went to find someone to help us. Frank, Sr (the owner) came out and listened to my story, and took me back into their little warehouse area where he showed me several options he had on hand. (He was perfectly willing to special order something if I preferred.) He quoted me the super reasonable price for a beautiful Carrera marble replacement piece (thicker and prettier than the original piece) which he had sitting right there. He cut it, finished the edge to my specifications, and remounted the undermount sink in about 6 days, during a very busy time for them. These guys are the real thing: honest, courteous, professional, easy to work with. As I remodel and update my 20-year-old home, they will be my go-to for anything stone. read more

I had a really impressive first meeting at Atlas. Really genuine approach to the job, much more affordable than the other place that I went to. They changed my outlook to a 'maybe I can do this in a few months' to I am definitely doing this in a few months and I'm totally going to use them. Will update later read more

I loved this company right from the get-go. I got Frank Damico (Sr) on the phone and he was personable, sincere and non-threatening. Upon visiting them (I recently moved from NYC after selling my business) I felt extremely welcomed, both from a personnel standpoint and the environment which was orderly clean and imbued with a sense of professionalism. Frank Sr stuck to the specifics and immediately set us up with a piece of granite (from another local source) that matched our preferences. Within a week the 60 inch round table top was fabricated. We ordered a pedestal from another source and had it shipped to them. They then brought everything over to our apartment and assembled it there. Alas, it turned out to be an ill-matched base and against all odds they were happy to take it back until which time I could find a base that worked for the set-up. They even went to the trouble of shipping the base back to the vendor. in the meantime, while I work on finding a suitable base I cannot thank them enough for their understanding and patience and all round good service, a rarity in today's world of big box stores and computer intervention. And so for reasons of their excellent work and their service I am giving them 5 stars without hesitation. read more

Everything about Atlas is outstanding! From start to finish it took about 10 days to have my granite installed. The showroom staff, particularly Tina, was courteous, helpful, knowledgable, and patient. She helped me choose the perfect stone for my kitchen. After my selection, I needed some adjustments and guess what NO PROBLEMS, NO HASSLE! Jason the template designer, came to my house and was just as helpful and patient, even making some much appreciated suggestions. The installation crew...wonderful! They had a late night because of the weather but were still pleasant and did a thorough job putting in my countertops. I couldn't ask for a better experience! Highly recommend!!! read more

I originally decided to go with another granite company in Crofton but wanted to get another quote for our kitchen. I would recommend Atlas to anyone. They were so helpful and professional in every way. I recently moved and I hope they do work on Virginia. read more

This company doesn't deserve any stars. They are over priced and the people you work with are rude, unprofessional and don't give you the whole truth. We chose three different materials to go into our kitchen. We found one of the tops at a different location less expensive than Atlas. When we told Atlas we would be using them for only two of the tops (which were huge pieces) they decided they did not want to do our job anymore unless they re quoted us (at a higher price) for those two pieces. Their explanation was the pricing they gave us was for all the pieces and not just two. At no time did they explain to us that the pricing was a "package deal" and no where written was there anything about "package pricing". When we called to speak with the owner Frank, he dodged our call and handed it off to Sherri who claims she is an owner. She was very rude and unprofessional. This company doesn't know how to do business and will not be getting any recommendations from me. read more
