A while back, I saw some fantastic head shots of one of my friends. I was very impressed as he is a male model. I haven't run across too many photographers that do great male head shots (mostly female). This made me very curious about getting a headshot for personal use. I asked my friend, "Who took your photos?!!" and received Marcus' contact information. Being a professional photographer myself (wedding), I am usually on the opposite side of the lens. I was very curious to see how the experience would go. Initial contact with Marcus was very professional. I reached out to him online first, and he was responsive in a timely manner. I was able to tell him my interests for the photo shoot and we set an appointment. When I arrived to his studio, he was well prepared and very cordial. I felt very comfortable and was open to his suggestions and positional coaching. During the photo shoot, I was able to also see some of the captures in real time so that I could see the "look" Marcus was going for. This not only made me feel more at rest that I wasn't going to break his lens, but also better enabled me as the model. In the end, I was very happy with the results. We had a session with Marcus up at Cooper-Garrod Winery a few weeks back and got some amazing family photos out of it. What can I say besides..... Marcus is a life saver.. My father passed away from Leukemia recently and sudden.... not leaving my family much time to plan his services.. I had a great experience with Marcus. I needed a professional headshot to use in my job search for, among other things, my LinkedIn profile. I am the kind of guy that doesn't like being photographed or tagged in social media, so I thought this would be an uncomfortable experience. My husband is interested in getting into modeling, so we scheduled a photo shoot with Marcus to build his portfolio. Marcus went above and beyond in his work with my husband. He really took a lot of time to coach and guide my husband through a series of poses and looks. He also provided valuable feedback to help him launch his career.
