Three days before the event, I decided to hire a photographer for my Grandma's 100th Birthday Party in San Francisco. My Dad was always the official photographer for all family events, but sadly he passed away a month before the party. Initially I planned to take on the job myself, but I have two young kids and a lot of relatives I haven't seen in several years that I knew would keep me busy. I reached out to a lot of photographers with good reviews on Yelp. I ranked the photographers I contacted and hoped someone from the top of my list would be available and would not be too pricey. There was a fairly wide range of prices as well as different levels of experience. I really liked what I saw on Harry's website, and he was at the top of my list. So I was incredibly excited when Harry said he was available for the exact date and time I needed. Harry is experienced, and he's a good communicator. The agreement was clear, and everything went as smoothly as it could have been. Harry captured so many special moments throughout the 4.5 hour party. Even though I said there was no rush, our family was grateful to have an online link available to download the photos in less than 5 days after the event. We were grateful Harry provided tips on lighting and space to get good shots of multiple families and a big group photo. The photos were beautiful and captured so many memorable moments that evening including my Grandma dancing the night away. We will always treasure these photos from my Grandma's 100th Birthday celebration. Overall I highly recommend working with Harry. When I plan another trip to San Francisco, I will definitely contact him and set up an outdoor family photo session. Harry is dedicated, experienced, and professional, and we are all so pleased with the wonderful photos. Over the past 10 years, Harry Who photographed not only our wedding, but he also shot our engagement, pregnancy, family, and a few private function photo sessions for us. Each time, we were both amazed at the results. Prior to working with him, I never understood what it meant to have real emotions show through in photographs, but with his images I completely understand what people have been talking about when they say, "That image moved me." In addition to his beautiful art work and talent as a photographer, he is equally adept at the social side of his practice. To be honest, we were not really looking forward to the thought of having photos taken. We felt awkward and unsure of ourselves. I am extremely satisfied with the service and turn around time I received from Harry. I contacted Harry on a Thursday because I needed to take a last minute headshot for a school ID card, and I only had a few days to do it. Harry was able to get me into his studio the next morning and we captured a few sets of photos, which he then sent to me later that day (Friday) for selection. After I selected which photos I wanted to purchase, Harry was able to get the processed photos back to me that night (the one photo I needed for my ID) and the following day (the remaining couple photos that I took for LinkedIn and were not as urgent). He went out of his way to get the job done quickly and I really appreciate that. I also wanted to add that the layout of his website is very clean and intuitive, and the process that he uses to allow you to select and purchase the photos is very well thought out. After the photo shoot he will email you a link and a password to an online gallery where you can then select and purchase the photos you like the best, and after doing so he then edits those photos you have selected and sends back the final product. Harry took photos of our party earlier this month. Working with Harry was delightful from start to finish. I got in touch with him and we quickly came up with our initial plan. He later scouted the venue to ensure he knew what to expect in terms of light (or therefore lack of, it was an outdoor patio at our favorite restaurant). The evening of the event he was in place early, set up and ready to start taking photos! He's a true professional and you'd never know it was an event with a limited amount of lighting and space to move around.
