The layout was great and comfortable with lots of space. Our tech was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Nichols came in sat on the floor and listened closely to everything we had to say and then explained all the next steps. Then came getting the vaccines needed and the explanation of follow ups. It was a great first experience and would recommend Dr Nichols and the practice.

That's…read morewhy it's disappointing to see some recent changes that feel less focused on clients and more on business decisions. Since the practice was sold, one change in particular has made things unnecessarily difficult: prescriptions for outside pharmacies can no longer be sent electronically. I confirmed with my pharmacist at Chewy that they are willing and able to receive electronic prescriptions, but District Vet will not send them. Instead, clients now have to request a written prescription and then coordinate getting it to the pharmacy themselves. In a time when digital prescribing is standard--and when people are already dealing with rising costs and busy schedules--this extra step feels avoidable and inconvenient. It's hard not to feel like this policy discourages clients from using more affordable or preferred outside pharmacy options. I understand that change is part of any business, but it's disappointing when those changes make things harder for long-time clients. I hope the practice reconsiders policies like this and continues to prioritize the convenience and trust of the pet owners who have supported them for years. Spread the word and provide District Vet your feedback on this change.

Brentwood Animal Hospital - Racer - One day after mouth surgery!

Brentwood Animal Hospital

After the tragic loss of my beloved Queenie - the bestest girl cat ever - from another hospital, I…read morewas understandably anxious about trusting another veterinary team with Racer's care. From the moment we walked into Brentwood Animal Hospital, everything felt different. Dr. Manzoor and the entire team treated Racer - the bestest boy cat - with extraordinary kindness and meticulous attention to detail. They didn't rush. They didn't dismiss concerns. They took the time to explain every aspect of his surgery and carefully walked me through his aftercare plan. That level of communication matters more than people realize. What truly touched my heart was the way the staff refers to me as "Racer's mom." It may seem like a small gesture, but it reflects something much bigger: a deep respect for the bond between pet and human. They see him as family, and they see me as part of his care team. Racer received loving, thoughtful, and highly competent care. For the first time since losing Queenie, I felt a genuine sense of safety inside a veterinary office again. If you are looking for a veterinary team that combines medical excellence with compassion and humanity, Brentwood Animal Hospital--and especially Dr. Manzoor--have my deepest gratitude and highest recommendation. Forever thankful, Dr. Sutton, Law Professor

Seems like this hospital can be a bit overwhelmed at times. It only seemed like the vet was in the back with my dog for 2 minutes before coming back to "tell me what's wrong" $1400 went down to $300 in exams and meds Vet seemed extremely nice and knowledgeable but a little pushy. Where he said I could take my time to think about things, but he was also a bit loud where I felt like I HAD to make a decision about spending thousands of dollars or not. Damon was sooo helpful, I think he was an assistant. Walked me thru the medication names and what they were useful for and to help me make the best decision to make sure my Dog gets healthy.
