I came to yelp and was looking through different shops with reviews and then the websites to see the different juice lines they carried. I was intrigued by the fact that they carried most, if not complete lines of high quality premium juice that I have only heard and read reviews about. Having decided to try 1st Wave, my boyfriend and I drove down to Pompano after I had spoken with the Manager Mike on the phone and he was super awesome. He answered all my questions and I was looking for specific juices and he took the time to look to see that he did have the particular flavors I was looking for, instead of just telling me to come down to the shop and see if they had what I was looking for. Walking in, I was impressed by the layout and it was a very comfortable, open setting. There was an L-shaped couch with a TV and a PS4 to offer patrons a relaxing location to vape and be social. I was also impressed that it wasn't super foggy either. I understand that vape shops can be very foggy, but it can be kind of a turnoff. I only like one foggy locale and that is my personal space in my own home. We were greeted by a young guy (I am totally blanking on his name at the present moment) but he was super polite and very friendly. He introduced himself extending his hand to both myself and my boyfriend. After the introductions, he began pulling juices off the shelf and a dripper for us to use. He showed no annoyance with the amount of juices we asked to try. We tried pretty much every juice it seemed before coming to our decision. We were the only ones in the shop at first, but after about 10 minutes people began coming in. For someone who was working there on a Thursday afternoon all by himself, he handled himself with grace and greeted every person there and showed 110% attention to each customer. If he was getting flustered at all, it didn't show and that was really awesome. I understand being the only employee with a sudden wave of customers and having to take care of every one and show them the same kind of attention, so kudos to him. After spending a total of about thirty minutes there, we ended up purchasing Suicide Bunny "The O.B.", Cuttwood "Unicorn Milk", Moo E-Liquids "Strawberry Milk" and Mango Boba. They had all the nicotine levels we were looking for except for the Cuttwood but I was impressed to find that they can nic the bottles if they do not have the exact level we are looking for. While checking out, I was able to also download the App, which sends messages daily with different juice sales going on and the sales are awesome! Example from today (4 May 2016) Charlie's Chalkiest $12.99/30mL bottles, which is a really nice deal. They also have different loyalty levels and even offer a weekly raffle which is really awesome too. One other thing that I am loving about this shop is that there are different locations (3 in total) so if one shop doesn't have it, you can hold it at another store. I really have found amazing customer service at both Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale (haven't been to Deerfield yet) and the hours for the Pompano location is super helpful as well because they open at 9am and stay open to 9 (10 on Fridays and Saturdays) so you can always get whatever supplies you need, whether it's an emergency or just perusing for new juice. This is definitely my new "home" shop and I honestly couldn't be happier!!! Keep up the great work you guys!!

When I walked in, the staff greeted me politely, but the friendliness felt more like a sales tactic than genuine customer service. As I browsed, I noticed that many of the products seemed a lot more marked up compared to what I've seen at other shops in the area. The emphasis felt less on helping customers find what they need and more on pushing higher‑priced items. When I asked questions about product quality, the responses were vague and didn't give me confidence in what I was buying. The shop itself is clean, but overall the experience felt transactional rather than welcoming. If you value fair pricing and authentic customer service, I'd recommend checking out other smoke shops nearby. In my experience, Happy Lou's prioritizes markups over building trust with customers.

I have been a loyal customer of theirs for over eight years. I even pick up vapes from that store for all of my coworkers seeing as they do have an extensive collection. For the first time in eight years, I had purchased a vape that broke due to no fault of my own. The magnetic piece of the cartridge fell out, making it impossible to connect it to the battery. I did try to fix this problem myself because I was currently at work. I was unsuccessful. When I showed up to Pro Vape with my first complaint in over eight years, the male clerk basically told me I was shit out of luck and there was nothing they could do for me. Now it's not about the money. I could've bought a new vape. It's not about the fact that they didn't offer me some kind of discount even if it was 10% for my trouble. Or maybe to return the vape to the manufacturer for me. No, it wasn't about any of that. it was the way that by saying that one thing they let me know how little they value me as a customer. it was degrading. Due to that fact, I will never return to that shop. I will never recommend that shop. I will never purchase for my friends at that shop. This is not customer service. It was a blatant and rude blowoff with an undertone of "we could care less about your business.
